I don't like Vega for a lot of reasons. He questions Shepard, he's reckless, and in my opinion is a very boring character. He basically has the same story as Shepard. He is annoying as hell, and just gets on my nerves...<_<
I agree, I liked Jack and really liked Grunt. I would have rather had one of them so much more than Vega 

I also would have liked to have Miranda instead of EDI and Kasumi instead of Liara, but thats not gonna happen...

long day at work, so i'ma now reply. i see and understand....i guess i sorta understand where you're coming from. his character is a bit typical i think...yess this is true. but i still dont have any particular qualms about him. i think him being reckless has alot to do with his personality; something which was poorly explored in the game. it's like bioware knew who vega was, but didnt want to fully show him to us. all we saw was bits and pieces. and no, i'm not asking for his story to turn out like cortez or like jack from me2...not i'm not asking for another character like that.. vega's story could've been made more interesting, if he actually had some significant part to play in the game. but like i said, he added nothing to the storyline. and was given little screen time (debatable cuz other older characters of the series got next to nothing as well.)

Liara is a must-have i think. she became like, an innate characteristic of the game itself, since her introduction in mass effect 1. no way, kasumi was gonna get a spot and not Liara, even if i agree with you on that...but i don't anyway. Kasumi was a bit-part character in me2 and it makes more sense to have the scientist on the team, rather than the theif. she'd be able to steal knowledge and information, but not explain it. wouldn't be much help to shepard. Miranda also loses out to Liara and EDI, though she is a much better fit for the crew, rather than kasumi and even Vega. I dont know if bioware will release a DLC which would add characters to your squad, like they did with me2, but it would be a nice idea to do it. perhaps something with miranda at least, so that she can come back on board the normandy where she belongs. I'd keep EDI because her "evolution" was a beautiful thing. she was basically an allusion or foreshadowing for what could happen to the geth, based on what choices you made. and really it points the game in a certain direction, with an IA becoming so human like and helping humans and other species instead of killing them. whoever wrote her lines did a great job i think and i was very satisfied with her screen time. i wish the same was done for all the characters. Miranda could not do the things EDI could, and with the added benefits of now having a body, it makes it worse for MIranda, but, Miranda still should've been given a spot on the crew because she is an intelligent, experienced soldier who knows how to handle missions and so on. Understudy for Ashley imo.



@ that pic with femShepard and Ashley. while it is an awesome pic, i don't like the cigarette...it's just not ashley...sipping some wine, is more like ashley. we know what the cigarette means, but i think that is already understood with half-naked femshep and no-pants ashley. the look on femshep's face is priceless indeed...i bet alot of things were priceless there.

The only one who smokes is TIM. Some batarians in ME2, but I never saw any other humans smoking in any of the games. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Silver I guess. Goes with her complexion better than gold does.
