he Blue screening part is particularly annoying but I think its in place so some textures on the Normandy can load and I agree they should have keep both the Lab and Armoury and replaced the conference room with the war room instead

Wasn't conference room of ME 2 changed into the war room in ME 3?

No. ME2 Conf. room was located right inbetween Armoury and Mordin's lab. in ME3 war room moved further towards aft and shifted toward some side, don't remember which one, port or starboard. Probably latter, since there is that "blah-blah" area near port side. Simply put, deck is twisted more than Mi-24 Hind fuselage.

Yeah, I just founf the blueprints. It seems that war room takes up the space of former conference room + some armory + additional space

I'm writing this part in my fan fic where Ashley ponders transhumanism

its really tough to figure out her opinion on it, I guess she would be kinda against it, but she loves Shepard and he's half robot...

Stayed up late to finish ME3 :P I would feel sorry for Shepard having to deal with starchild...
Liara died SO many times in the last fight. Ashley only died about 4 times...Well because I was sending them out while I hid from the banshees.
I still despise the endings, but the last scene of Shepard breathing, and Ashley not putting that dumb plaque up, is enough for me to know he's alive. I'm not saying I'm alright with the endings, but I know he's alright and with Ashley in recovery now :D

At least Ashley is there.

We get this.

The intent is the same of course.

Garrus not putting up the plaque if good enough for me.

I agree.  The pathos evoked in this event is probably the only real choice of mass effect that makes a difference.   The stupid thing is I prefer Ashley for the most part until ME3.  The plastic surgery she had was a turn off.

Ash didn't change that much when it comes to appearance. She didn't get botox lips as a lot of people claim - she already had quite big lips in ME1. The gloss just makes them looking a bit more prominent than before. Besides that, she didn't add much make up (otherwise, you couldn't see her beauty spots anymore). So I think Ash wears a quite decent make up.

Of course, it's still different, especially since her character was quite straight forward and tomboyish in ME1, while she got more feminine in ME3.

The bigger difference lies in her character. Replay ME1 and you'll see what I mean. Ashley is not Ashley. The most redeeming parts got cut in ME3 and her frequent comments on mission status are gone too. However, that's something you'll find for most characters - they simply have less to say. It just makes Ashley looking worse than others since she's someone who gives input quite often (and therefore feels more like Shepard's right hand than anyone else). In ME3, when she should be Shepard's XO, she's unusual quiet. But you can say the same about Kaidan.

Guess I don't need to say I miss ol' Ash ...

She misses her too

Pfeh, whaddaya expect from 260 hit points? Most part of my playthrough with Liara she was busy doing two things - either dying or being dead. Her achievement - she took down that Atlas on Citadel. Alone. With SMG. But that's either about safe spot (like under sinks in JA2) or Atlas' pilot stupidity, since I replayed that scene several times and she repeated that action multiple times. James, for example, killed same Atlas with his hands (maybe a little legs' help).

Nah, too bad. I wouldn't mind it was Garrus with plaque, because in all of my games (minus Tali pursuit playthrough) it always was Liara. Always! WTF? I took her only on one playthrough, to enjoy new brand of horseradish - "Better with Javik"™.

Remember my old words about "too much" makeup? That's the case. She was beautiful "as is", all those changes they've made are minor, but they crossed that "too much" line for me.

What makeover? New "reliefed" "scaly itch" skin texture?Posted Image "It rubs you wrong way"™©®.

And now they became even bigger. What next, WH40K "squig kiss"?
It's not gloss, they physically bigger. A little. But that little is too much.
Remind me of prank our IT department from my old workplace played on one guy from finances who has one actress' photograph as his wallpaper - IT guys carefully increased that actress lips, bosom and buttocks for about pixel per date rate. Wallpaper owner didn't noticed difference, because he was working there constantly and process was smooth. Those who visited his room occasionally were shocked.

Beauty spots could be left practially clear, uncovered by make-up, while all skin between them could be covered by relatively "thick" layer of makeup. I've seen how ladies try to "camouflage" some "defects and flaws" of their skin - if there is a little... Not sure for name, "pimple"? Little cone-alike shaped thingy. So if she has one small, less than 1 mm size "pimple", she will apply 1 mm thick layer of whatever they apply (since I recognize only those "cosmetics": toothpaste, soap, shampoo, creme for shave and creme after, everything else is stack overflowPosted Image), just to hide it and prevent shading from distinguishing it on her skin. And that one pimple. Now imagine she has more than one, probably as irritation or allergic reaction on previous makeup application... Well, applying military camouflage was easier. And faster. Not to mention it tastes better.Posted Image

Why should she be his XO, you obsessed maniac?Posted Image She was one (and only) NCO (because other was killed to let her into team) in whole fcuking Galaxy! Do you know value of good NCO? Apparently not and you keep ducking away when I bring Wehrmacht issue.

Rudy, you have a tendency to cut the important parts and leave the unimportant ones left.

My main focus was on her character - that has changed more than her appearance. :P

Rushed poerty.
Rushed family matters..
No religion...
Lady Gaga boots....
Untied weavey hair that can **** up her aim in a fire fight.....
Gets her ass handed to her by the robot from Fritz Lang´s Metropolis......

But hey, we got a drunk scene. Which I don´t think was Kimbely´s acting, she probably got hammered after reading the marketable script, where Ashley got butt****ed into submission. Where were that gun lube?!?

I still don't see anything wrong with a military woman doing something out of herself appearance wise, a woman should look like a woman and she can do that without exaggerating which I dont think Ashley did in ME3. Whats wrong with looking good as a military woman? It may distract the soldiers but other than that, nothing comes to mindPosted Image

There is nothing wrong with mili women looking good.

It´s just that Ash´s transtion from ME to ME3 were dramatic. It´s like her apperance got buffed up, while her personality got stripped down. That´s what is bothering me & Data sometimes.

But then again, Ash is always great!   Posted Image

I know what you guys meant, its just that there are a lot of other people out there complaining about her looks being too feminin and that its supposed to be a bad thing she looks the way she does and those people are SO wrong lolPosted Image I agree, Ash is always greatPosted Image

As you should know, I wasn't really argueing against Ashley's looks but more her character (or the lack of one) in ME3.

The only thing I'd love to change is her hair:
Bun for field duty
Open for private moments with Skipper

Besides that, I like her appearance and I can pick a different outfit (armor) for missions. The only outfit options I miss are a standard duty dress (like Traynor wears) and the official dress (like the female Admiral in the trial).

I'm more sad that her writer never got Ashley's essence. Chris L'Etoile did a hell of a job to make her feel like a real person in ME1. Kudos, Chris, you did well, son, you did well.
In ME3, half of her character got removed and the other half crippled. I can stand Ashley 'cause I "fix" her with my headcanon to what she was in ME1, but she has no redeeming features and is simply not interesting in the third game if you don't have an idea how she was in ME1.
