Femshep stories always seem to be more kind to her character too I find. MaleShep is a disaster unless Ash is the romance. Some pretty vile things are said and done.. Lmao

"I heard about fixed Liara dialogue. And i probably know why it was fixed and Ash's dialogues are not. So, DLC for some wierd reason contains ALL "conversations" on the Normandy. Ash has one bug on the Normandy - dialogue with Liara after coup. If this dialogue was fixed - it's nice. Otherwise... Whatever... Most of the bugs are on the Citadel so lets hope for DLC with some Citadel dialogues. Forever... I refuse to buy ME3 until they at least fix those bugs.
We have hope. More than we think

I think their "culture" would divide them. I´ve always viewed Ashley as a working/middel class type of person, with her strong family bond, gathering around a barbecue in the backyard & so on. Plus she´s a grunt who hangs around in the lower levels of the Normandy with her workbench.
Miri I´ve always considered upper class. Her arrogance, strives to do everything perfectly. She´s cold & calculated where Ash is a hot head. Miri has her own office, where she can work uninterrupted, and out of sight from the commen folk. Ashley had love from her parents. Miri was just a product of her own fathers megalomania. Miri is a leader who can take charge, Ash is a footsoldier (specter status & high ranks, I call BS on) who throws herself into any fight.
That dosen´t mean that they would jump into a catfight against each other, but they would avoid each other & only have minimal but professionel communications.
The diversety is too big for them to be friend. I mean what the hell would Ash & Miri talk about?!?

I don't think Miranda and Ashley would be "friends" per se.
But I know that Ashley would respect her dedication to family. In my games I would think that she would approve of the dedication that she shows Shepard and her sister. She really loves them and will go out of her way to protect them.
Just like Ashley would with her sisters.
They could find common ground and tolerate one another.

It's easy to understand, in fact. Unless it's about Ash (or her romance) or femShep (who is pretty much the same badass), they feel threatened by a strong female character. Their only solution to hide that insecurity is a poor "establish dominance" attempt.BP93 wrote...
It is kind of funny. Unless Ash is one of the main characters in the story, she gets trashed in every other story.

Not worth reading and not even worth the paper/data space.

I agree most of the stories where shep is not the romance but say liara and trayon or or some thing like that seem to treat ash better. Well at least we have some good shepley fan fiction just a shame it is hard to enjoy stories from other view points

SSV Shanghai
Lakeesha System
Olympus Cluster
Distance to Tarshish = 12 light years
The SSV Shanghai was a hive of activity as the cruiser made preparations for hard contact. Gunnery crews made last minute calibrations to their cruiser’s railguns and missile pods. Navigations crews ensured the on-board suites were operational and correctly calibrated. Damage-control teams checked their pressure suits and made last minute prayers to their patron saint.
The secondary cargo bay of the SS Shanghai was a hub of frenzied activity as the marines prepared their combat gear. Technicians flitted through the crowd, assisting with armour checks and making last minute adjustments. Troopers inspected “jump-packs” and calibrated firearms.
Ashley carefully inspected her hard-suit, running a quick diagnostic to ensure its integrity. The last thing anyone wanted when executing a high-altitude jump was any structural weaknesses in the suit. Instructors at ORA had pressed upon them the horrors of explosive decompression, as the suit would tear itself apart due in a zero-g jump, due to a small crack. She fingered the edge of the armour, her fingers running across the painted camouflage that replaced the normal navy-blue. Barely twenty four hours ago, the cruiser’s onboard fabricators had managed to churn out hundred of freshly camouflaged armour suits, the colours matched to the sea of colours that was on Tarshish.
Moving quickly and purposefully Ashley disrobed down to her “skivvies”, all airs of modesty put aside, as men and women around her sealed themselves into flexible, non-porous ballistic cloth suits. Designed to prevent that biological, chemical and even radiation threats the “cloth-suit” was only a part of the kit that the average Alliance marine would wear into combat. Ashley sealed the suit, sighing as the suit conformed itself to her body’s profile, in order to maintain its integrity.
Clad in what was effectively a skin-tight, ballistic cloth, Ashley began attaching the armour plates onto her ballistic suit. Gription panels on the plates activated and sealed themselves to the suit, binding them in an almost unbreakable bond. The kinetic barrier whirred and clicked as it synchronized with the emitters within the lightweight composite ceramic plates. Rated to withstand a barrage, the kinetic barriers were meant to give soldiers a second chance on the battlefield, a chance to grab cover and return fire. Only a fool would stand out in the open and depend on their barriers.
Mentally crossing an item off her checklist she moved onto her heavily customized X8-Avenger rifle. Her pride and joy, the rifle had become an extension and a reflection of her will. Some soldiers gave their weapons affectionate nicknames, but Ashley couldn’t imagine giving her rifle a name anymore than naming her hands. The rifle was part and parcel of who she was and anything else was mere gravy. Equipped with disruptor rounds, a borderline violation of the Citadel Warfare Convetions, the rounds slashed through shields, overheated thermal clips and could potentially wreak havoc on the target’s nervous systems. Ashley finished inspecting her rifle and moved onto the rest of her arsenal.
A M-6 Carnifex pistol, one of the few possessions that were actually her private property, slipped into her holster ready to unfurl itself into action when the time came. While certainly more expensive than the standard-issue Alliance M-3 Predator, she had come to love the heavy pistol’s sheer stopping power. The pistol had saved her life on more than one occasion, the powerful shots ripping into armour and flesh of more than one slavering krogan or enraged batarian.
Finally Ashley hefted the bandolier that held her trademark “Inferno” grenades; another near violation of the Citadel Warfare Conventions. A unique and volatile concoction of plasma, white phosphorus, triethylaluminium and with a touch of “dirty eezo” it burned hot and hard enough to set even most hardened krogan warlord ablaze. Capable of being fired out her rifle’s barrel, using its kinetic energy to propel the grenade, or be lobbed by hand Ashley had grown to love the deadly little spheres and had more than earned the nickname “fire-queen”. Reverently she strapped the bandolier around her, careful to ensure that its quick release clasp was within reach. The last thing she wanted was to be set ablaze by her own ordinance.
“Operations Chief Williams…” A voice rumbled near her left shoulder. Ashley turned around and hint of a smirk briefly appearing on her lips.
“Gunnery Chief Behari” She coolly responded, before reaching forward and grasping his hand. They both formally grasped each other’s hand, before ignoring such formalities enveloping each other in a back-slapping hug.
It had been months since Ashley had last seen Behari. The scarred, hulking colony brat had been one of the Ashley’s close friends during their stint at the ORA academy, their friendship forged in their shared toils and hours of fatigue.
“It is good to see you again, Chief” Behari continued, his scarred visage breaking to reveal a lopsided grin. Ashley did always feel that Behari was a krogan trapped in a human’s body and it showed on him. Scars crisscrossed his face and Ashley could swear he had added a few more.
“Oh…” Behari drawled exaggeratedly, drawing his head back in mock surprise “you noticed the new additions”
Ashley merely curved her eyebrows, curious as to what tale of misfortune had given the Gunnery Chief a new scar.
“Got that in a fight with two batarians” He continued, absentmindedly running a finger along it “bastards came at me with their damn spike daggers, one of em got lucky before I blew him away with good old Gloria!”
Ashley shook her head, a ghost of a smile on her lips. During training Behari had come to prize a particularly nasty looking shotgun piece, that lone weapon receiving more care and attention than to his person. Sometime she suspected Behari slept with that weapon, the brute of a man lovingly whispering to the weapons before slipping into dreams of war and slaughter.
“Still….”Behari leaned in, dropping his voice to a conspiratorial whisper “That’s gonna be small time, as to what the Admiral’s gonna pull of today”
This time Ashley furrowed her brows, as she recalled the briefing that they had attended merely an hour ago. A full inter-system strike executed by the fleet, a HALO jump at over 103,000 feet to be executed by the Shocktroopers and reinforcements to be deployed at conventional landing zones. It was the Alliance’s trademark attack doctrine; rapid hard strikes at vulnerable nerves and then pull the bastard’s guts with them as they extract.
The truth was that no plan truly survived contact. Thousand of variable could go wrong. The planners could have miscalculated Tarshish’s atmospheric density, leaving thousands of troopers to burn upon re-entry or plummet faster than their jump-packs could compensation. The enemy combatants could have positions ships deep within the system, alerting those damned four-eyed batarians to the Alliance’s presence. Planetary mines could have been scattered in the atmospheres, ripping dropships to shreds as they descended….
“Shepard did always call me a pessimist.” Ashley mused to herself, as her mind raced through at least a hundred different scenarios. A brief memory of the late commander rose up from the recesses of her mind, until she squashed that line of thinking. Any competent psychologist would have called such behaviour unhealthy, but a part of Ashley had yet to reconcile with the fact that her Shepard had died.
“All marine combat personnel,” the cool voice of VI flooded over the ship’s speakers, interrupting Ashley’s response. “report to your designated dropships”
A surge of movement began as the crowd of marines, settled into a orderly rhythm as they marched to their to the designated dropships. The marines making their way to their comparatively heavier armed Kodiak models, many of which were flanked by Manti gunships which bristled with weaponry.
In contrast the dropships used by the jumptroopers were lightly armed, with two forwards facing mass-accelerator canons. Designed for sole insertion the dropships were meant to deliver jumptroopers to their objective, via any method necessary.
Before Ashley and Behari parted ways, she leaned over and slapped the broad shouldered trooper across the shoulder.
“Pray for the best….”
“….train for the worst”
