also have you noticed how that when on the citadel you get james laira and tali but ashley is only on there when you have the hospital and date scene but you get liara over in the corner all the time.

i was expecting to find her hanging out in the specture office when you go in there

That´s because her specter status is a BS plot device tailored for the coup scene. Ashley is a hotheaded front line soldier not some slick secret agent.

i always see spectres more of the super soldier that go in to help hold the line and rally the troops a bit like the SAS/Special forces than a secret agent type role.

i agree can not really see ash being the james bond of the galaxy.

if so does that carry forward to ME3

Yes. The Normandy Crash site. I got it upon activating my Cerberus news (Aka. BSN) account and registering the game. Basically, the reward is some Eezo, credits and an email from Hackett as Thanks.

I believe that the names of the fallen which appear on the Ship's memorial wall in ME3 are the same people whose tags you recover in the crashsite.

ME1 - best story and characters.
No objections.
Aurora313 wrote...

ME2 - best combat system and varying enviroments.
Environments were variable, that's correct, as well all those "little things" I enjoy so much, especially since JA2, plus overall filling of the world was good, probably best in series, though amount of same people standing same places and doing same things for whole bloody game is a way off. Even decade-old Gothic 1 had "daily cycles", please.
As for combat system it is anything but best, even with "There is no accounting for taste" (I hope I remember saying correctly) in mind. Because for me 50m/s and spacebar abuse are part of combat system.
Aurora313 wrote...

ME3 - best graphics and romance scenes.
Even with same proverb from above, I would argue on best romance scenes, really, but "Best graphics"?
Blurry textures I barely remember in ME1, ugly water (ME2, Gothic 3, Witchers (both), BF3 - had better), cramped, intestines-alike "by agoraphobic for agoraphobic" levels, unnecessary darkness on Normandy to hide sloppy work and army of Traynor and Adams clones... What we got as "improvements"? Lens flare, light rays, "Shepard's better mug" ©™® texture? Ah, yes, waving vegetation in Citadel's flower pots (also the only vegetation in game (yeah, I know, exaggeration, there are three pots in there))! What a fcuking improvement. Medal of Honor, first one. Waving vegetation was there. So what's there in bottom line?
Ghost1017 wrote...

I'd say ME2 characters are leaps beyond the characters in ME1.

There were more of them, they were a bit "livelier" and variable than in ME1 (plus, as Aurora said, different environments). As for content per character, I guess amount was same, if not less - I didn't noticed much of improvement (in volume of content) between ME1 Garrus and ME2 Garrus, if there was any. Of course, those who played for femShep and pursued his romance would probably get more content, but without it...

Remembered the first time I played ME2, and first time as Femshep (had no previous savegame, tried it for kicks, never looked back since). I was searching for the missing dogtags, then I see the SR-1´s demolished armory, walk in... And suddenly Ashley´s "ghost" pops up in my face! WTF was that!?!

Even though that level is only filler, it still can tingle my spine...

I felt a twinge of guilt when I saw that scene with Kaidan. Part of my motivation for Duet Effect right there. I don't want to see either VS's ghosts there.

Pressley is not sexy enough to be allowed in my playthrough.  :P

I was hoping that they'd have a pink and white variation of her armor too, but no - just the casual one because well, how hard is it to make a reskin? Really?

Shepard sneaks in and stands right behind Ashley. Grinning like a boy he prepares a tickle attack ...

Shepard: GOT'YA *tickles* ...  OWWW! My ribs!
Ashley: Don't do that ever again! ... oh sorry, Skipper - didn't know it was you ... did I hurt you?
Shepard: *cough* Think a Krogan dancing party on my chest can't hurt any more *wheeze*
Ashley: I'm sorry - old habit. I'm ticklish. That plus my marine training is deadly.
Shepard: Really? *wheeze* You got an elbow for sure, Ash.
Ashley: Comes in handy sometimes. *snickers*
Shepard: *cough* I better should see the doc.
Ashley: You may need an excuse for your bad state - right?
Shepard: I'll tell her my girlfriend did this.
Ashley: Doctor Chakwas won't believe that.
Shepard: That's why I'm telling her that story.
Ashley: What if she want to hear the "real" story?
Shepard: In that case, I had another dance with James.
Ashley: *crosses arms* ... she could ask him.
Shepard: I ran against a pillar? *cough*
Ashley: They all come with warning signs. That makes you looking stupid.
Shepard: Lord, it's impossible to make up a believable story why I got my ribs broken *cough*
Ashley: Well, Mister, next time you'll think twice before tickle attacking your girl. *smirks*
Shepard: You love doing that to me, right? *wheeze*
Ashley: You deserve it. *laughs*

I'd say ME2 characters are leaps beyond the characters in ME1.

Highy depends on the characters.

Miranda, Mordin - yes, definitely. They're at least as good as the best characters in ME1.
The rest are still okay, but there also some mediocre or half-arsed characters as well. Must say, "Morinth" is still the worst out of the bunch, basically, she's just a differently skinned Samantha with some different lines. Besides that, she's a non-character.
Also Garrus and Tali got upgraded nicely.

But tbh - ME1!Ashley is still one of the BEST developed characters in the entire series and still were if BW wouldn't have let her down in ME3. ME3!Ashley is not even a real character if you remove her romance scenes ... :crying:

Tell me something Data. Are you thinking alot about these dialoges before you write them, or are you a fast improviser, that just makes something up as your typing?

I myself are the latter, when it comes to pictures & videos...

I think Data half-thinks them, half-improvises them, half makes them up.

Yes, I am aware that this sentence is not mathmatically correct.

@Dragon: most of my dialogues start with two or three set lines, fitting to the image, while the rest is usually improvised. Ashley and Shepard become "alive" in my mind and I can't say what direction they're going to take.

It's much more fun that way - and lifelike.
So Aurora is right.
I'm just 150% as good as any other writer of such stuff :D :D :D

Not three Ashes, but there's a Paragon Verse Ashley, and Renegade verse Ashley.

Para!Shep: ... I'm still totally confused.
Rene!Shep: I'm not complaining.
Para!Shep: I'm not either, I'm just saying I'm totally confused.
Para!Ash: Got that right Skipper.
Rena!Ash: Oh, so you call him 'Skipper' too?
Para!Ash: Yeah. Of course. I think that the only real difference between our two universes is the Skipper. In ours, he's... well - a goodie-twoshoes.
Para!Shep: Ash!
Rene!Shep: *snicker*
Para!Ash: And in yours, he's a right royal pr*ck.... with freaky scars and glowy red eyes.
Para!Shep: Heh. Got that right.
Rene!Shep: Pal - Don't start with me. Just don't.
Para!Shep: I just did.

Rene!Ash: I see no matter what universe we're in, Shepard'll still be immature.
Para!Ash: True. But you can't deny it's kind of cute at times.
Rene!Ash: *nods* Oh! They're throwing punches! Should we help -?
Para!Ash: Shh-shh. Just watch. I wanna see who wins.
Rene!Ash: If only we had popcorn.
Para!Ash: And beer.
Rene!Ash: And a vid-cam.
Para!Ash: ... I like how Parrallel me thinks...
Rene!Ash: ... huh. I didn't realise your Shepard was a biotic.
Para!Ash: You're isn't?
Rene!Ash: Nah, he's one too, but he's a sentinal, not an adept.
Para!Ash: Vanguard.
Rene!Ash: Details. Anyway, Are you two... together?
Para!Ash: Yeah, of course. Since the SR1.
Rena!Ash: Oh god, the things this man can do with a mass effect field...
Para!Ash: *giggles* Oh god yes! I gotta say, Skippers' certainly... 'creative' isn't he?
