I don't think there's anything wrong with showing apprehension from what a dev tweeted.

Part of what I loved about Ash was her spunky, kidding nature with Shep.  I found her mature and at ease with herself in ME1 simply because she stood up for her beliefs.

She's probably been through hell and God knows what, but I don't want her to be distant with my Shep for the whole of ME3.

the bolded part is an insider between Reed and I.

I'm aware of these parts of Ashley, but she's a big girl. from the demo she doens't look distant from Shep at all, possibly hijacking the Normandy to pick Shepardup while the Reapers destroy earth. You'd think the reapers would be on the lookout for the Normandy since it, You know, kill Sovereign.

I don't think that's what the tweet was implying. He was just using liara as an example of character developement. Good or bad, Liara's seen a lot of growth. He's just saying Ash is going to see a lot as well.

Personal missions are hopefully a part of it, I like the way in which they can progress a personal story. I could imagine Shep and Ash slowly getting closer to each other again whilst on a mission, but a good lengthy, emotional talk could also work.

@Mega Well I meant just one mission to get closer, so people new to the series can enjoy it too, but yeah, they certainly shouldn't take ages to get together again.

I agree, it might be a paragon interrupt to pull her into a kiss about halfway through their convesation. Maybe Ash accuses him of cheating (if he did) or something like that and tells him to prove his loyalty to her, if left alone he'll remain silent and she walks away. If interrupted Paragon style, he'll grab her just as she's about to go and kisses her gently. Renagade? I dunno, earns himself a slap and rivalry points?

Just thought of this. Would never happen because if nothing else I doubt Bioware reads these forums but...

Wouldn't that be pretty cool if, to just to show their creativity and also throw the Ash/Kaidan fans a bone, a month or two before ME3 comes out they came out with a DLC which would rewrite the Horizon scene? I don't think it would be too awful hard to do. But instead of the painful "hey stranger, long time" kind of crap we were forced to eat originally, they rewrote it to leave the scene with a little spark, give us dialogue options that we wish we could have selected the first time. Then change the follow-up email. Think about it, how many people wouldn't go back and play the whole series over, or at least play ME2 over, probably repeatedly, just to have a really cool Horizon scene.

Probably would take them about 30 minutes to come up with (just get Kimberly and Mark to voice some new lines, which they're recording anyway) and I think it would have almost the same effect of throwing us a bone as having a VS DLC which we didn't get.

I doubt that would happen,it would be cool though. But by the sound of that tweet It sounds like Bioware are going to try and come up with a good reason for Horizon so it wasn't just a case of bad writing (well it was at the time, but lets hope they can think of something great to fix that) 

I've heard some people debate that the Cerberus troops we've seen in ME3 demo's might be Shepard clones, if thats true (I really doubt it though) that could have something to do with it. Ash showing Shepard reports of him doing things he didn't do, but were done by somone who looked like Shepard, like killing Alliance troops ect.

I'd be pretty pissed if Ashley and Shepard didn't have a rather passionate reunion. Although I'd be more pissed off if they didn't have banter based on their interactions in the first two games.

I would laugh at something firefly-ish, something like this.

Ash looked up through the small opening in the debris. Big enough for her to squeeze through without much trouble, though unfortunately it was a good foot and a half beyond. She heard chattering from about and cried out. "Hey! I'm in here!"
A rush of footsteps and a shadow cast over the whole. Ashley's heart leapt when she recognised the silliotute of Shepard, but was puzzled when he started chuckling. He squatted at the ledge and chuckled.
"I seem to recall someone proclaiming that she didn't need someone to rescue her."
"You want to help me out now, skipper?"
"No, I like this vantage point. Nice view."
"Remember that sex we were planning to have ever again?"
"Yeeeea - I've decided to pull you up, now."
"Good boy."

Sorry, that wasn't meant to sound snide or snarky, though I can imagine it happening. Shepard has a lot of fortune cookie/old saw/corny logic to things... or at least paragon shepard.

I cannot wait to see just how their reunion would go. I want an epic romantic kiss scene. It's not often I really want a romantic scene, I'm quite butch myself, but I'm so damn excited!! *fangirly squeal!*
