I think there are still a few lurkers from the US, like myself. But lets be honest with ourselves; there's just not a whole heck of a lot left to talk about after 1900 pages beyond what our imaginations conjure up. Maybe when more DLC gets officially announced things will pick back up again.

I'm just here to read the facfics, lol.

ETA:  if someone is willing to start another fight with a different group again, this thread could have a few extra pages.  Start trolling the talimancers, and you get to 2000, easy.

I always have her as my LI, but I don't have as much imagination as you all do, apparently.  So usually I'm content to just read.

I'm out of stuff to talk about. Not really sure if future DLC will give us much more, either - Ash had some lines in Leviathan, but it didn't really add much to her character or anything.

Bascially - as depressing as it is to say this, I think what we know about Ash now is probably what we're always going to know about her. Can't see Bioware doing much else with her, unless they restore deleted/bugged content. Which I don't think will happen, either.

So... Yeah. Guess we can just enjoy what we have, but it's not like that gives us much to talk about.

I really think that they should have a DLC which adds some of the old characters back to the squad. I really miss Jack, Miranda and Grunt. Seeing Ashley interact with these characters could've been interesting. It'll be a re-hash of the DLC from ME2 where we got 2 new people, yes...and I guess the fact that it'll be old team-mates in the new DLC just makes the idea sound worse, marketing wise, but I think the game lacked characteristics that those characters had. I can understand the decision to cut the squad size for more "intimate relationships" but Bioware didnt exploit this idea enough imo. and the way I see it, it's less of the more important lines to record, despite what they say about how, in ME3 they recorded the most lines out of all the games. which means, less money to voice actors which means more profits in the long run, as long as you lure your faithful fans in by any means necessary.

with all the deleted/bugged content who knows just how much of that we really got to hear. the fails from Bioware keep gushing like an Asari but hey, what can you do. they already false-advertised and got our monies from it. now they're just laughing their way to the banks while we sit here and contemplate how disappointed we are.

I wouldn't mind having Miranda back, if only because I don't have a squadmate that combines biotic skills with tech skills. That really screws up my playing style, because Edwin Shepard is a soldier and my preferred squad almost always had a sentinal in it.

Good combinations were: Edwin Shepard, Ash, Kaidan in ME1. Or, in ME2, Edwin Shepard, Zaeed, and Miranda or Edwin Shepard, Garrus, and Miranda. In ME3, I like to bring Ash along, but, frankly, with the squad options I have, I end up being forced to choose between either biotics or tech for the third member.

I don't understand why they couldn't have made Miranda a squadmate. Her excuse for not coming was mighty weak, considering how the Normandy's resources could have helped her search for her sister. I mean - we have the freaking Shadow Broker on board.

At the very least, they could have introduced a new Sentinal squaddie for people who didn't save Kaidan, the same way they had James Vega to make sure everyone had the soldier squaddie. Like kalikilic pointed out, their "more in depth interaction" excuse for keeping the squad small turned out to be laughable. I don't consider brief auto-dialouge conversations to be "in depth interaction."

Honestly they should have made everyone who was alive a squadmate. Who gives a damn how big the squad is? More combos means more replayability. Honestly I'd just take Sshley and Miranda everywhere and rain death upon our enemies with the force of 100 suns.

I just wanted to post my feelings on the romance with her.
Honestly in ME1 she was tough but lovable but in 2 she pissed me right the hell off and that dislike moved over to ME3 but after awhile I was ready for my Shep to be with her.
Her romance may not have been as soft or touching as others but it worked and it was nice
Yeah it was rough around the edges and it carried some baggage but it worked it had a touch of a real relationship with ups and downs with a chance to put a bullet in her but still nice

I wouldn't have agreed when ME3 was in development, because I took them at their word that "smaller squad" meant better interaction with our squadmates.

Knowing how the game is now... yeah, I'd agree, just throw everyone in there so everyone is happy. Most of the squadmates don't have much in the way of conversation anyway.

Possible exceptions might be Mordin, Thane and Legion, though. I like the way Mordin was handled for the Tuchanka plot, and that means he's either dead or in hiding after it ends. I always thought it makes sense for Thane to be too sick. And with Legion - the way I would have handled it is that you have either Tali or Legion on your squad depending on how you handle the quarian/geth war. They both have the same skills anyway.
