AshleyxKaidan yay or nay?

I don't have a problem with it, but considering one of them is dead it seems a bit.....

BioWare failed massively at the idea that 'less companions=more interactions'. I am filming my playthrough and I'm planning on doing a short analysis on how much content every character has in each installment. I'm not finished yet, but it is already obvious how ME 3 content will be at the bottom.
Proof 1:

Proof 2:

I just found this on youtube, but on this Liara example it's quite obvious that ME 1 has cca double the content of ME 3.

More importantly, once upon a time I did a qualitative analysis(more like my ramblings than an analysis) on why BioWare failed Ashley, but never posted it here fearing it might cause mass depression.

But the thing that pisses me most of is this cut/bugged content. It pisses me off that for some, unknown to mere mortals, reason her scenes were reduced from awesome to buggy and missing lines. And the worst thing is BioWare seems to pretend they know nothing about it. I twitted it both to Mr.Gamble and Mr.Priestly and never got a response.

In the nutshell, I disagree that this thread has nothing to talk about.

All the Bioware community people are useless. They care more about flying all over the god damn place attending nerd conventions than actually doing "community relations" pertaining to the game. You almost HAVE to be obnoxious (ex: Tali fans) for them to even take any sort of ****ing notice.

tl;dr: WE'RE TOO DAMN HUMBLE APPARENTLY

That probably explains us euro´s being here all the time, since we don´t have the types of geek conventions you Yanks have.   :crying:

But then again, we have art, philosophy & public nudity...   B)

LOL I've never been to one. Not my thing. Only convention(s) I've ever been to were boating shows in Detroit at Cobo Hall.

But, case in point... the only Bioware posts here in the Ash thread are from Merizan telling us about her costume from about a year ago.

I don't know how well you are acquainted with that "Romance DLC" project, but they are inviting people to send them texts about their LI which they will post on their website (and show to BW??)

Anyway, you create the text, send it to them and you make alot of Ash fans happy. Apparently, alot of characters already have some material, except Ashley, so why not do something about it.

Participate, especially all of you who just got admitted to college. This is a greate practice for writing papers, which you will be doing for the rest of your life.

here is the link to the thread
http://social.biowar...dex/12870201/59

Send the messege to sarahann62380 and he/she will give you more details

Sup Ash lovers.....
I just wanted to post my feelings on the romance with her.
Honestly in ME1 she was tough but lovable but in 2 she pissed me right the hell off and that dislike moved over to ME3 but after awhile I was ready for my Shep to be with her.
Her romance may not have been as soft or touching as others but it worked and it was nice
Yeah it was rough around the edges and it carried some baggage but it worked it had a touch of a real relationship with ups and downs with a chance to put a bullet in her but still nice

I like the way you're looking at our fave relationship.

Ashley's arc (and Kaidan's as well) comes with much more options to work it out or sink it than any other relationship - well, with exception of Tali's. Those three relationships can end via dead caused directly by Shepard. Miranda's romance can end too, but it's more indirectly than those three mentioned above.

hey ash thread. i had an idea bouncing around in my head awhile back. i really think if the mass effect team would take notice of the fans desire for more charecter content a cool way to go would be to take a page out of ME1 and 2's book and add personal  missions for the squad.

i belive its far fetched at this late point but it would be cool i think if they released an expansion pack that would add in about six or seven hours gameplay. each hour and change  could be a mission for each of the sqaud members.

ashleys could have something to do with her grandfathers legacy and his (possible) connections with cerberus.

Shepard: Activate Kaidan-Shield!
Kaidan: God - are you two fighting again?
Ashley: He decided to slip pink dye into my shampoo.
Kaidan: Really? This is what you're fighting about?
Ashley: It's not nearly that stupid, but the whole story is not something for public conversation.
Kaidan: Ah, not my business. So, shall I take a step aside and let you tackle him to the ground, or, uh, should I get some popcorn first?
Shepard: What -wait?! No-no-no-no! Don't do that. Please don't do that, she'll murder me.
Ashley: Side-step would be awesome, Major.
Shepard: Crap! *bolts*
Ashley: The hunt resumes.
Kaidan: Good luck, Ash.
Ashley: Wanna join in?
Kaidan: Why? What did he do?
Ashley: Dunno - something to deserve it I guess.
Kaidan: Last one to get him buys the drinks at Purgatory?
Ashley: Highlanders Guinneas for me, Major.
Kaidan: Such hard work.
Ashley: But worth it. :)

Losing drive to write something.
Damnit, Liara's thread is again 170 pages ahead ...

Ashley: Skipper ...
Shepard: Ashley ...
Ashley: Not much to do, right?
Shepard: Nope. War is over.
Ashley: Sounds as if you're not happy with that.
Shepard: I am. It's just boring since we have not much to do.
Ashley: Yep. *looks at her right hand* It misses a ring.
Shepard: Shall I change that?
Ashley: I dunno ...
Shepard: Proposing 'cause we're bored is not a good base for true love.
Ashley: Damn right.
Shepard: Still bored.
Ashley: Sex?
Shepard: Nah, I need to "refill". Too much and too often depletes ... you know.
Ashley: *sigh* Yeah.
Shepard: Let's check that extranet for new news about us.
Ashley: Nah. Too lazy to turn on my PDA.
Shepard: *sigh* The friggin' part about being bored is that you become too lazy to do anything against it.
Ashley: Word.
Shepard: Could ask Liara if she wants to-
Ashley: Don't finish that line.
Shepard: Okay.
Ashley: *sigh*

Didn't quite understand what you have in mind, but I agree with you. This thread needs a project (not the PP, I'm sorry but that thing is dead).

A project wmight keep this thread alive and kicking, and something productive might even come out of it.

I suggested we write a text about Ashley for the  "Romance DLC project"
They are having some sort of character spotlight, and they will post texts about LI on their site.

C'mon ppl give me suggestions xD

It's a good idea, but the irony here is that the personal missions in ME2 got a lot of fan complaints. Too "divorced from the plot" and such.

I head canon a personal mission for Ash taking place between the coup and the geth/quarian missions. It's on Feros - her old unit was sent there to help the resistance, but all contact has been lost with them. It helps explain what she was doing between ME1 and ME3, and also pulls in the Feros characters from ME1 that we never actually get to see in game and ties up some of those loose ends.

Honestly, her grandfather would be a good element to pull into a personal mission as well, though. One reason I brought her on the Cerberus base assault mission towards the end was because I was hoping there'd be something about her grandfather.

I've toyed with the idea that when he left to work in "deep space construction" after he was disgraced, he was actually working for a Cerberus front company and helping to pull in funds for Cerberus and direct Cerberus activity. The old trope for organized crime is that they always claim to be "in construction" when you ask them what they do, at least in the U.S. So it fits. Image IPB

Who cares about fan complaints, lets just do something. Start some project.

We might get the thread in the hypermode, get some new faces, new ideas and, in the end, something good might come out of it.

Dunno if Europeans are always the best, guys ... I just wish I'd live in a different time. *g*

400 years earlier and I could have been an explorer.
400 years later, and I could explore the stars ;)

the idea i had in mind for ashleys mission would be about her grandfather and his ties to cerberus. the mission would start with ashley getting an old video recording from her grandfather. in it he explains that his disgrace and demotion was all a front by the alliance and that he was covertly reasigned to head the new alliance black op cerberus. he express guilt over the things hes done and gives her the coordinates to an information cache. the cache houses records of all the things he and cerberus has done in the name of humanity. he leaves it up to ashley to make it right.

the end of the mission will have ashley makeing a choice.on the one hand she can do what her grandad would do and release the information to the galactic public and bring to light all of cerberus crimes.in doing so she will be showing the galaxy her family helped birth the current terroist group attacking their people and who are allied with the reapers. risking even greater shame then what was previously heaped upon her and her family. or she can do something similar to tali and destroy the data feeling that her family has suffered enough for their grandfathers past choices and swears that she will make it right by killing cerberus and the reapers once and for all.

as shepard you can only advise ash and watch her make the choice.

P.s sorry it took me awhile to post.BSN kept kicking me off my account.

If you were offered to leave everything behind and fly to the moon, would you go? I would.

You wouldn't believe in god if Jesus himself smacked you with a do-do. :P
