Probably would have happened even without all of the issues (Ash related and non-Ash related) with ME3.
The issues, however, are making people move on faster, I think.
Personally, I have to admit that the possibility of new SP DLC so quickly after Leviathan has me interested again, though. Had been planning to try that FTL game after my current ME3 playthrough, but now, I don't know. Might depend on how long until they release the new DLC. Will have to see when they announce, I guess.

Well, this thread isn't really that newcomers friendly:?
Very often ppl here talk about completely general and Ashley-unrelated stuff. When a new person(or someone who posts rearly) comes in and tries to talk about Ash, his/her responses usually get ignored (check the last few pages for example)

Maybe it's going to be Omega related, but in that case I bet 50 bucks it comes with some extra content for Liara (who suddenly has connections to Aria) and nothing new for Ash / Kaidan.
I just hope for a Virmire-centered DLC which most likely won't get real ever

the idea i had in mind for ashleys mission would be about her grandfather and his ties to cerberus. the mission would start with ashley getting an old video recording from her grandfather. in it he explains that his disgrace and demotion was all a front by the alliance and that he was covertly reasigned to head the new alliance black op cerberus. he express guilt over the things hes done and gives her the coordinates to an information cache. the cache houses records of all the things he and cerberus has done in the name of humanity. he leaves it up to ashley to make it right.
the end of the mission will have ashley makeing a choice.on the one hand she can do what her grandad would do and release the information to the galactic public and bring to light all of cerberus crimes.in doing so she will be showing the galaxy her family helped birth the current terroist group attacking their people and who are allied with the reapers. risking even greater shame then what was previously heaped upon her and her family. or she can do something similar to tali and destroy the data feeling that her family has suffered enough for their grandfathers past choices and swears that she will make it right by killing cerberus and the reapers once and for all.
as shepard you can only advise ash and watch her make the choice.
P.s sorry it took me awhile to post.BSN kept kicking me off my account.
I like this idea.
I always fantasized how Ashley would someday find out that her grandfather basically helped start the Cerberus. That would probably be the single most epic conversation in ME 3 (except the tragic 'afterlife' conversation)

I honestly figured that's the way they were going when I read that comic and found out that Ash's grandfather played a role with Cerberus. It just seemed to make sense that they'd do something with that in ME3.
Maybe they didn't because it meant they'd have a story for Ash, but no similar, relevant story for Kaidan? Or maybe it's just like any number of other abandoned plot lines - they ran out of time.
I've honestly played with making it head canon that Ash's grandfather was working for a Cerberus front when he went into deep space construction, and that he was helping to fund and coordinate for Cerberus - and that he later faked his death so he could take a more direct command role.
There's a side mission in ME1, I think dealing with Cerberus and the rachni, with a long that says something about "telling the General" that the experiments didn't work out. Under the head canon I described, that general would actually be General Williams, who was leading Cerberus' military division at the time. Ash and Shepard would find out about the role he played sometime after the events of ME3, and have to deal with the fallout.

Anyone else consider a Kickstarter campaign to try and get Ash's cut dialog back in the game? A lot of fans have said they would pay Bioware for LI DLC pack so how about putting that money where your mouth is and make it happen!
I'd start the campaign myself but i'm not that good at organizing stuff like this and i wouldn't do if no one else supports the idea.

i think the answers are
A). it never occured to them to do something like this (which i doubt).
C). they did not care to do anything for ashley.
considering how she came out in the final product i believe they just didnt give a crap about ashleys charecter and spent all the time and money on everyone else.

I applaud your idea but here is the problem.
Money is not really the issue here. Problem is getting BioWares attention and dedication to add/return Ashley content. Even if we started a kickstarter campaign, what would we do with it? We can't make a DLC.
Unless you meant we should do something that might get BWs attention and finance it with kickstarter?
Anyway, I'm all up for any kind of project, there is litteraly a ton of stuff we can do.
Some ideas that come off the top of my head are:
o Comic book - I still remember how Mr.Weekes told me once that if BW sees that there is a demand for it,a VS might get its comic
o Extensive campagin about the missing/bugged/cut dialogues from the game itself.

id support ash getting her content back in the game. i just wouldnt know how to go about getting bioware to do that. there arent alot of ash fans still hanging around the forums anymore i dont think. plus the rest have moved on. youd need ashley fans in the thousands to even get biowares attention, and even then im sure theyve already decide on things like this. if they cut all that stuff out in the first place i cant see them deciding to put it back in for a few dozen disgruntled ash fans.

There are alot of Ash fans on the forum, but not in the thread.
Also, you don't need that much people for it, you just need a good organization, a clear messege and know how to use mediums at your disposal.
There is no point in quitting before even trying. Especially since we don't even know the BioWare's stance on most of the issues we have. For example, we can't even say for sure if her cut content is really cut or is it just bugged (files were taken from the game disc, not beta)

Getting Bioware's attention shouldn't be too hard, we just need some dedicated people willing to "rally the troops" as they say. Somebody made that book with a whole bunch of fan-art of each LI as a "thank you" gift to Bioware. If we show Bioware how much we'd like to have LI DLC then they should take notice, all that's left is the finacial support for the actual game content.
I figure EA won't invest that much anything ME related(unless it's a new retail game) so why don't have the fans chip in and support some of Bioware's projects?
