Lt. Commander Ashley Williams thread: "Don't 'Ash' me!" We're Back Baby!

I wanted to hear her ask Shep what it was like when he died. I wanted to hear about that gap without each other and what she did. I wanted to hear more awkward and accidental statements, like the first time on the Citadel. And most of all, I wanted to see her lift a damaged Shepard, like he had for her in Mars, after the crew found him among the rubble, much like ME1, and end with the two smiling at each other. It would have been nice having a slide saying what happened to her so I didn't have to head canon her fate or wait on pins and needles, but it doesn't matter. In the end, I keep going back and doing playthroughs and finding a contentment just having her, after missing her in ME2. When DEV's ask what I want, I'll respond more Ash and I'll ask for more of her via content whenever I can. Going through ME3 and knowing how it ends can be hard at times and it can be hard asking why repeat that wound or what is even worth doing it all again. It all ultimately comes down to the fact Ash is and has always been worth it.

I feel like Ash is way too misunderstood at times and the gem she is, is often over looked. She became my favorite squadmate due to her snarky remarks and how open she was with who she was. Ultimately, how she represented a Deist viewpoint respectfully in a Sci-Fi oriented game won me over and made me respect Bioware a lot more. Kim Brooks did an excellent job voicing her throughout the series and really stepped it up in the third even when she was stripped of a lot of potential dialogue.

Yep, her character felt most real to me when I first played Mass Effect. I think that K.B. is probably one of the best voice actors throughout the trilogy, there is a lot of emotion in her voice.
I can't comment on the rest of your statment because it makes this thread a sad thread, but like you I also had high hopes

On a happy note she finally said those three words, which made everything come full circle. Gotta count for something, right?

@hornedfrog87 if you have leviathan and ash is present on the final mission she runs out from cover to save you and helps carry you back to the shuttleit was great to see that at the end.
Yes, it was a great scene and the evac scene in the EC was tremendous as well. I was just voicing what I would have liked to have seen in the ending after the final choice.

second thread crawled along for awhile then suddenly more and more ppl started comeing out nowwhere posting how much they loved ash and wished she had a better role in ME2. then things really got exciting when game informer releaesed the first look of ashley that confimed her as a returning as a sqaud member.then everyone on BSN freaked out over ashs "NEW LOOK" it was really fun and funny at times. then the second thread died after some infighting and this thread was created.
and bam here we are third ashley thread 1905 pages strong and still going.

I was actually amazed by the level of hate for her on the BSN. She was always my favorite character, and it was just shocking to see the way so many people seem to feel about her.

I've said this before, but I really hope we can get to 2000 pages.
It's doable! We are still strong!
I don't like number 19 either because it's not even and it doesn't look.....neat x)

@DWH oh so you were one of THOSE!?? gahhh...why do ppl lurk in threads they like?! we need them to post. help keep our fandom diverse and alive! if all the lurkers and roaming ashley fans would come and hangout with us wed be past 2000 pages by now.
Heh, yeah, basically from Sept. 2010 through Dec 2010. Funny story - I read the entire Ash thread in about a month, then started reading the Kaidan thread. Which was so freaking long that I never did make it through before I gave up and started posting on both threads.
Then I was a regular poster for a few months in 2011, before I mostly left for a few reasons - depression over real life (that wasn't a great time), Cerberus Daily News taking up more of my time, and a desire to avoid ME3 spoilers.
Then, of course, I came back after I played ME3. So I could have a place where I could come to deal with the endings.

She would be such an awesome sister. Well she already is to Sarah and the other two. They are too lucky to have a sister like Ashley.

EAST COASTERS ARE LAME
Sorry, but I got nothing to add. Been playing some Max Payne lately. Memories. I remember coming home from elementary school and playing the first game 10 years ago. Making me feel old though. The third game is excellent. Sorry but James McCaffrey > Kim Brooks.
I have barely even touched the campaign of ME3 since the EC. No desire anymore. I started a new game and got past Mars and quit.
