Thanks. as I said, Ashley has her own unique arc while my Shep does ME2 and they intersect a few times. it shows her earning her promotion to LC and her as a Spectre. I plan on using her like a spectre because she earne dit, not becuase Udina needed a pawn.

true, but it was Udina who made the offer and we know what he was planning and what he tried to do. Use Spectre VS against Spectre Shepard. He woulda gotten away with it too if it wasn't for those meddling Normandy kids and their AI.

EDIT: also the narrative makes them seem like it was just for show to make the VS a spectre. They don't go to the Spectre lounge when the Normandy is docked on the Citadel, they don't really do anything with the status, they just have it. so much missed potential there really.

Ok I looked and couldn't find a dang picture, sorry. But it's when she places her hand over Shepard's, right before she goes on top of him. Her nails always stuck out to me because they looked so white. It may just be me though.


Now you have a reason to re-whatch the romance scene if you want...

yeah, but you could make the same arguement for whoever put forth Anderson's name back in the day, and you saw how that ended up.

Udina might have suggested her because he needed someone (though that's a huge logic leap, any spectre would have defended the council in that situation), but it had to be someone who would be a worthy choice to get through.

There are other things I would say, but nevertheless, there are reasons that I've never gotten into your story.  Chief among those, is that if you're going to have a serious written work, you have to remove all smut from it. LOTR? No smut. Harry Potter? No smut. Frankly, sticking smut in fanfic just makes us fanfic writers look a bit creepy.

And I say that with a genuine intention of stating my opinion, not with the intention of provoking or insulting you.

I played ME2 first, and Miri was my favorite thing ever.  When I finally played through ME1, I just romanced Ash because she was the human female.  It was only over time, after multiple playthroughs, that I realized that Ash was better.  That I truly became a one-woman ME player.

I dumped Miranda for Ash.  Simple as that.

Got to laugh when you start the fanfict topic and everyone starts hating on each other. concerned about what others think about some fanficts out there. Nothing wrong with getting creative, at least they are trying unlike some of the readers who just complain and think they're better than everyone else.

Most of it isn't miranda related.  Seriously.  And a lot of it it fighting over interpretations of her (some of them want her to be a soulless b*tch who doesn't value human life).

Well I bet to differ. While it's a novelization of the events, it's the events of Commander Kallen Shepard's Mass Effect There's sex in the legit trilogy! It's more a biography of her and Ashley that the story of the mass effect universe. The story is about them and their lives during the three years the game trilogy covers. Their story, they **** it gets written. Plus, the smut is in chapter 6-7 you realize there's 42 (43 with one unpublished chapter being beta'd by badpie) chapters to the story. Also authors are different. Also refresh my memory were there any big time female protagonists in LOTR? and Harry Potter was about Harry and Harry didn't ahve sex so it wasn't written, plus HP is a series for children. While I'm honored you'd use those two to compare Guns and Poems to (in any fashion whatsoever)

Yeah. See, that's the difference between a televised medium and a written medium. And let's face it, erotica books from IKEA have already covered the latter pretty well. Likewise, I was turned off by the mischaracterisation, an unlikeable Shepard, and plot twists that didn't go anywhere.

How do you think Ashley got the promotion to LT? Did she get in in ME2 or something? Or just recently in ME3? Need to know what you guys/gal think... seriously.

Honestly, I think she got it because Anderson wanted her as his XO and, being an admiral, promoted her. She earned it (she earned his respect), but that cuts through all the bureaucratic stuff.

I mean, yeah, it's a stretch that it happened in the first place, but that's my explanation for it.
