Don't let BXe's homophobia douchebaggery fool you. Guns and Poems is a novelization of the Me series that highlights Shepley and develops it the way it should have been. There's even a complete original Arc for Ashley in Mass effect 2 that ties into LoTSB and Arrival. I'm currently in the Mass Effect 3 story and ashley's co -XO with Miranda while she heals from Mars so she's not away from the Normandy on the sidelines. I'm giving every character in the series their fair hare of development so fele free to marathon it like 10 others have.

A novelization? AD, it's a novel in the same way that 50 Shades of Grey is a novel.

Ashley's promotion is not that simple. Actually, Kaidan can promote to his ME3 rank much easier, as he is already an officer.

Ashey should attend officer course first (this would allow her to skip last NCO rank), and that would take about half year. I'd say that most probable time would be just after first Normandy destruction. I know she is supposedly still chief at Horizon, but it makes no sense - sending a single, NCO level soldier to install flak batteries is absurd, so I headcanon that Ash was at least lieutenant there, and commanded more or less platoon sized unit of engineers with squad or two of marines for protection. Such unit would still be small enough that it can pose as mercenaries or sth. and not alarm whoever Alliance do not want to alarm.
This would leave 1-2 promotions for time before ME3 and the last of them may be fairly recent.

I would also expect she made N course at some point. It is hard to believe she is still an ordinary infantry soldier.

Since it's incredibley vague I take Horizon as the first Spectre mission the VS undertakes (in the game it's their first mission of their training.) Let's not forget Ashley's not your normal NCO, she's a hero. She was part of the team that defeated Saren and his geth so she's an anomaly. she should have been promoted to LT after ME1 but only made it to ops chief. Then you've got more gap in her story until BAM Lieutenant Commander and then Spectre.

But It´s still worth the money gameplay wise in my opinion...

This made my day!  I only recently took notice of the Gangnam Style video(i'd seen it before but didn't hit me till it was featured on SNL).

Not to get too off topic but i didn't realize Kaiden doesn't have his own ME3 uniform.  You'd think since he's a Major now he'd get something to make him stand out more.  Well i guess i should be glad they didn't stick him in Pheonix armor colors.

@Brainheart: Leviathan is definitely worth $10! Three separate mission areas isn't anything to sneeze at and the pay story payoff at the end is well worth it. There is also a few funny easter egg dialog if you care about that.

@Wilkco: I really hope we see a FCW game. Such a pivotal in the history of the ME universe they'd be fools not to do it.

-they want feedback, (imagine the first feedback [make a good ending this time would be most people], mine is just have Ashley in it and I'm sad case who thinks mass effect doesn't work without Shepard).
Also, the two older guys retired, forgot their names.
What do you guys think about it, what would you want in the next game, if you want one?

Oh, not again. Promote her to officer exactly for what? Unless you some "specialist", like medic, high-grade a.k.a. "narrow specialization" technician and other similar roles where you don't exactly have anyone under your command or operate in tight team, your rank means only one thing - your capability to lead and indicate unit of what size you capable to command. And now please tell me where exactly during course of ME1 she did something worthy of promotion? Where she lead anybody? Eden Prime? Like with Sole Survivor Shepard I see zero reasons to promote for that. Virmire? Double Jeopardy, since she could be a) with Shepard, with Salarians, c) on Normandy and called down only to arm bomb.
Also, why everybody overpromoting her? She's special? No more special than any of "original six", plus, why of all marines on board, apparently hand-picked by Anderson, we can't choose anyone, besides Alenko, who is that marines' detail commander. Or somebody wants to tell me Anderson couldn't pick her up despite her background, but somehow after she replaced Jenkins, nobody argues with that?
Plus, many were pointing out on Ashley's distrust towards aliens on board, be that Wrex, Tali or Garrus. But extrapolate that on her - some castaway assigned to your team, maybe against your will... Why she and not any of those approximately two dozens of marines already present on Normandy, all of whom you know (as XO Shepard should have access to their dossiers, thus able to evaluate them)? Oh, she's much better than any of them, since second (or third, depending on Shepard's branch) best marine - Jenkins, died on Eden Prime? And all of them were hand-picked by Anderson our of 330 millions of serving people? Should I add something about closest Cerberus recruiting station?
More than that, look at Joker, apparently best helmsman in the fleet and hand-picked by Anderson too. He was grounded, though his participation in Shepard's "questionable activities", to some extent, even less than VS's. Colalteral, if you allow me that kind of reference. So, best helmsman in Fleet is grounded, while black sheep pariah was promoted? Nuh-uh.

No. 2 strings per character. Well, a little bit more than 2, given random blah-blah, but it so full of stale, old recycled ideas... Given sales on Steam, it's definitely doesn't worth 10 bucks. Too overpriced per playthrough.

Well, ME4 won't be about Shepard, Ash & co anymore, so I'm not sure if I give it a try.
Given the fact what EA/BW did to ME3, I most likely abandon the ship and won't return.

Besides that, if Mac Walters is still lead writer, I bet Liara will return and, of course, a LI.
