Besides that, if Mac Walters is still lead writer, I bet Liara will return and, of course, a LI.
Nah, thanks.

A little more Liara and I'll become full supporter of that guy from Skyrim's Dark Brotherhood, that one who had headaches from blue colour. Posted Image
Too much water drowned the miller and all that.

Everyone thinks it, but I say it: Mac Walters.

Well, I -really- don't want him as lead writer in ME4. If he's there, I won't buy it, period.
If the original lead writer comes back, I'll buy it. Easy as it is.

I second that.

How they supposed to bring old team back? With new budget plan they apparently can't play higher salaries card, so, well, "smile and wave" to Mac "take that fcuking hat off, you're in room, ****" Walters.

Well I'd do it for less, but I doubt they're going to hire me.

Did I say I'm no leader?
I'm one. Well, only if I get paid ^^

Okay, I start talking rubbish, time to hit the hay.

Since it's incredibley vague I take Horizon as the first Spectre mission the VS undertakes (in the game it's their first mission of their training.) Let's not forget Ashley's not your normal NCO, she's a hero. She was part of the team that defeated Saren and his geth so she's an anomaly. she should have been promoted to LT after ME1 but only made it to ops chief. Then you've got more gap in her story until BAM Lieutenant Commander and then Spectre.

Oh, not again. Promote her to officer exactly for what? Unless you some "specialist", like medic, high-grade a.k.a. "narrow specialization" technician and other similar roles where you don't exactly have anyone under your command or operate in tight team, your rank means only one thing - your capability to lead and indicate unit of what size you capable to command. And now please tell me where exactly during course of ME1 she did something worthy of promotion? Where she lead anybody? Eden Prime? Like with Sole Survivor Shepard I see zero reasons to promote for that. Virmire? Double Jeopardy, since she could be a) with Shepard, B) with Salarians, c) on Normandy and called down only to arm bomb.
Also, why everybody overpromoting her? She's special? No more special than any of "original six", plus, why of all marines on board, apparently hand-picked by Anderson, we can't choose anyone, besides Alenko, who is that marines' detail commander. Or somebody wants to tell me Anderson couldn't pick her up despite her background, but somehow after she replaced Jenkins, nobody argues with that?
Plus, many were pointing out on Ashley's distrust towards aliens on board, be that Wrex, Tali or Garrus. But extrapolate that on her - some castaway assigned to your team, maybe against your will... Why she and not any of those approximately two dozens of marines already present on Normandy, all of whom you know (as XO Shepard should have access to their dossiers, thus able to evaluate them)? Oh, she's much better than any of them, since second (or third, depending on Shepard's branch) best marine - Jenkins, died on Eden Prime? And all of them were hand-picked by Anderson our of 330 millions of serving people? Should I add something about closest Cerberus recruiting station?Posted Image
More than that, look at Joker, apparently best helmsman in the fleet and hand-picked by Anderson too. He was grounded, though his participation in Shepard's "questionable activities", to some extent, even less than VS's. Colalteral, if you allow me that kind of reference. So, best helmsman in Fleet is grounded, while black sheep pariah was promoted? Nuh-uh.

You must be new here.

Ashley had some of the best technical scores in the alliance. The only reason she was held to ops chief was because of her relation to General Williams. She's trained to use all manner of weaponry and trained in hand to hand combat. She's one of the best soldiers in the Alliance. She hadn't served in space, only planet side because of her family, Anderson had nothing to do with that, when he got his hands on her he put her in space on the Normandy. Then guess what, more often than not he's on the council. You think he wouldn't continue rewarding her for her exceptional skillset and hard working attitude? You're a fool if you think otherwise. Anderson knows skill when he sees it and Ashley has a lot of skill and he let her blossom into Leiutenant Commander Ashley Williams.

Also the entire original six is special to some degree. Liara becomes the Shadow Broker. Wrex leads his entire species. Tali becomes an Admiral. Kaidan becomes a major and a Spectre. Garrus has a merc team and manages to cut Omega's crime rate before it goes wrong then gets a task for to fight the Reapers. Ashley becomes a Lieutenant Commander and Spectre. Each one is special because of what they accomplished in ME1. to quote Zaeed "BIG GUDDAM HEROES" all of them.

I hope the next ME game isn't a direct sequel to ME3. Haven't they said that ME3 was the END of Shepard's story? The ME universe is too big and too interesting that as long as it's got a decent story it should sell just as well as the last three games did.

I say Bioware should let put the "Shepard trilogy" to bed and focus on expanding the franchise with a new standalone game. Most hardcore fans have already used their imagination to expand on ME3's endings and i'm sure the casual fans have seen enough of Shepard and would like something new as well.

Edit: Page need more Ash.

Quite a romantic scene there.  I just imagine Shepard swimming for miles just to be reunited with Ashley.

It wouldn't make sense to continue Shepard's story unless they focus on a game from the perspective of say Liara, Garrus, Tali or ASHLEY. Well the only person who would be suitable to continue the story of Shep would be Liara, because she is the only one who cannot die in the series. <_<

If you pick destroy (with a high EMS) then yes, the Shepard story can continue. Developers would basically have to make three seperate games (for each ending). That's a lot of work.

I seriously have no idea what they are going to come up with. But I'm sure gonna be looking at a lot of reveiws (non-spoilers :P) before I even consider buying any ME game they come out with.

Alright I was watching The Notebook.....yes The Notebook. Don't judge me! :pinched::lol:Well they were always quoting Tennyson and Whitman in the movie. I just found it very odd and it reminded me of a certain someone, who quoted certain authors...:whistle:You know, maybe she is secretly a hopeless romantic...In my canon she is, just like my Shepard. But ONLY between each other. With everybody else, they are soldiers who work hard and do what needs to be done to complete the mission :)

DOOD, she totally is!  Remember outside the Normandy in ME1 where she'll comment on the view and call it romantic?  Ash is totally into that kind of stuff.

...When she's not killing things.  Which is only like 34 minutes a day.

Bioware still makes good stuff.  They just kind of screwed up the ending, and they tried to fix that somewhat for free.

They still make fun games, we're all just super-critical because we're on the internet and it wasn't the ending we envisioned.

I would describe Bioware's work with Mass Effect as going undeafeted in the season and then losing in the first round of the playoffs.

I don't think you are naive at all. I mean just judging on the overall situation :P I would just be careful before you buy something from them. Like I said, I'm going to be watching many reveiws before I consider buying another ME game. Who knows, maybe they will have changed and actually listened to feedback. I still have faith because they have all the potential to make an amazing game. We'll just have to wait and see.
This game will be their last chance for redemption, IMO.

I would've liked a different ending myself but i'm somewhat content with what we got with the EC.

Another reason i think the next ME game should be a prequel is it would give people some time to burn off their animosity toward's the ending.  Maybe a Non-Shepard ME game will remind people why they fell inlove with the universe to begin with.

Why not just creat a new IP? You don't always need to sequel things. This story is told, this galaxy is resolved. Let's get something completely new!!

Jennifer Hale and Kimberly Brooks must return as VA though. Claudia Black would also be appreciated.
