I'm all for scruffy Sheploo! I'd even approve of bearded Shep (That's wild stuff I'm saying here! lol) I doubt whether Ash would approve though..

Edit: Have an Ash instead:

Yeah, that pic is awesome indeed!, wish I could say it was mine.

I was just thinking back again to the after romancescene moment, any good theories on what Ash would have wanted to say to Shepard? I, mean she makes it sound as if she has something significant to tell him, but after what they had just expressed that night...Could it be as important as that?

She was acting, she knows he's meant for Liara cuz that's who bioware loves the most XD She seems like a custom Shep kinda gal to me. cuz she knows how much work and skill goes into making stuff from the ME1 @ 2 CC.Image IPB

You guys do realize that sheploo is "scruffy" as well, right?

I'm a straight guy and aside from the derp faces (that every character has btw) he's good looking.

I don't think my customShep would count as scruffy though...

@ADL; Actually I always play custom Shep, so there is a reasonable chance it won't happen to my Shep...Otherwise he would feel completely mindf*cked and confused. (If Ash wasn't involved in this and just Liara he'd still be mindf*cked but in a different way)
And why am I talking about it like it's a serious possibility? Lol. That MUST mean it is a serious possibility!

@Reed; hold it, hang on, h-how did you get to play this game back in '04?
Your Shep looks more smooth than scruffy, better than default, I always thought default looks abit douche-y, Ash wouldn't like douche-y  looks in my opinion

Udina: What?! Are you trying to stir up another political s***storm, commander?!
Shepard: I'm trying to save the galaxy! More over, Earth! Get the hell out of my way or I might just shot you too!
Udina: This is an outrage! Williams! I order you to -
Shepard: Ash - if he so much as finishes that sentence, break his jaw!
Ash: *cracks knuckles* Gladly, Skipper!

Hi, Ashley's support thread!)) Here I am - a newbie :)

You know, I am a little bit concerned about Ash being a spectre. She really deserves it, but!.. When Council took Shepard there he had purpose - bring down Saren. Now such an interesting coincidence: Saren attacked Eden Prime (many human casualties) and Council sent Shep to investigate. Now Shep blew up whole system (300 000 batarians - seems less than population of one planet, but still many) and Ash becomes a specter... Is it possible that her assignment is to investigate Shep's actions?

Ash: "My first assignment - bring down... You, Shepard. Sorry, skipper"
Shep: "Hey, I seem to recall enjoying the last time you 'brought me down'..."
Ash: "Yeah, me too..."

Hi Urus, welcome to the thread,
personally I think Ash's becoming a Spectre has nothing to do with Shepard and I hope we will find out in ME3 how this went down. As the first human Spectre, Shepard is a special case and Saren was the reason, they made him a Spectre so fast without the normal procedure of being evaluated over a longer period. I don't think other Spectres need to have s special purpose other than ensuring galactic stability in accordance with the will of the council.

I also think, ME3 will start right in Shepard's hearings and we won't get to see any actual bringing him in, but who knows. And those hearings seem to be an Alliance affair and not something related to the Council, so they probably wouldn't ask a Spectre to investigate, imo.

Your little dialogue made me smile though, but with everything that is between them a.t.m., I don't think, we get that level of joking around at the beginning of the game. Other than that, it totally sounds like Ash and Shepard.

I kept Ash as my LI for only two reasons, I want to see how that relationship ends and so nothing negative comes from cheating on her. After what she said on Horizon, Ash can pretty much kiss my ***, if anyone had said something liek that to me irl I would have told them to F off and kicked them to the curb.

But, 2 of my Shepards are softies and giving her a second chance, even though she doesn't deserve it, apology e-mail or not.

@Elek
I think that her station at Horizon and the months between the Shepley reunion and the trail of Mass Effect 3 would have been her evaluation time period. With Anderson looking after her career, the Admiral/Councilor for the Alliance/Council, all the political bull and rubbish that barred her from progressing would have been gone. Not to mention serving with the first human spectre and getting positive review - Shepard himself said 'there was almost nothing in her files, except near-perfect tech scores and a list of crap assignments'.

With anderson backing her, there's no way in hell that she would have been barred in the ranks.

Welcome UrusVerra!

Shepard was indeed a special cae, first of all he would be the first human spectre, that is a big step to take, regardless of Shepards behavior he showed that humans could get the job done, so human admissions to the Spectres would be a little easier now, especially since humans have more political say after ME1.

It could be possible that she needs to investigate what Shep was doing, but I wonder, isn't she to personally involved with Shepard? On the one hand she knows him better then most, on the other hand wouldn't it be more professional to let someone less personally attached do it. I'm not saying Ash isn't professional, but it would seem like a likely precaution, just in case...So in short I don't think it should be Ash investigating his actions.

@Valdrane; It's not what Ash said that was wrong with the scene, it was what Shepard said too...that they had a row was believable...the way it was written wasn't, you shouldn't blame ash for it IMO.

I agree with everything you said here.
I was trying to say, that I don't think they made her a Spectre to investigate Shepard blowing up the Batarian system.

2electrego, likely you are right, though I am sure devs have something to do with Ashley becoming a Spectre, it can't be just for nothing. It's like in every film and every game - if devs show brick on screen, this brick will shurely hit someone on the head))
And this little dialogue - just remade one from LotSB)

Sorry Brainheart, she called me a traitor and accused me accused me of being brainwashed and working for the Collectors. She let her emotions get in the way even knowing what the real threat was and knowing once again the Alliance wasn't doing jack all about it. I told her I was dead and I told her I wasn't working for Cerberus but that they were the only ones doing anything real about the situation. Yet still she throws a temper tantrum, yes I should blame Ash. But that doesn't mean I don't understand her reasoning.

@Valdrane - Ash was emotionally screwed up, she even implied suicidal intentions and leanings after Shepard's death because he was the only person who believed in her and made her 'feel good enough' and wanted her to be happy. They were just starting a relationship that both were very committed to then its torn about by the Collectors whom kill Shepard and Normandy I.

By the time she hit Horizon, she had interlectually dealt with Shepard's death and began to approach a stable emotional state, but upon seeing Shepard again - a huge, if not primary, cause of her joy and suffering in the ME timeframe - along with the Cerberus logo slapped on his armor+weapons+ships, her mind leapt to the first conclusion she could draw, emotional or logical. Hence why I can forgive her for calling me a traitor. I know she was emotionally screwed... I mean, for kami's sake, who wouldn't be after seeing their zombie/cyborg/revenany boyfriend after two years in the middle of some backwater colony?

@ Urus: No that isn't the reason. She doesn't trust Cerberus and with good reason, I never trust Cerberus and in the end, my mistrust of them is rewarded. She knows the stakes are high and she knows Shepard has damn good reasons for doing what he does, and she lets her emotions cloud the issue. I just hope she has come to her senses in Me3, I really want to respect her again.
