I've asked myself that question many times actually. You aren't even on there.

Not your fault, I don't add people except for two ashmancers I once planned to play multiplayer with.

I consider you my friend taboo :)

Vega's gay. That's my new theory.

Honestly, I think they turned Kaidan so he'd have a sizeable fanebase. I really doubt many people liked him when he was straight, but lots of gay guys like him now.

Not a criticism, just an honest observation.

Check with Cerberus, I hear they have one in their posession.

Nah, that's counterfeit. Original one was lost somewhere on the way from ME2 to ME3. So bioware asked Cerberus to dress up Dilly Bee Williams as Ashley, so poor lad has to wear those ridiculous ties...

"Force anyone to live in Germany?"
Well, I don't want to sound rude, but why I have impression that while you in Germany call some beautiful girl, her reply comes on Polish, Russian or Ukranian?

Ashley: See? it's not so bad Skipper.
Shepard: It's not. But - I was promised nudists.
Ashley: I know you were, but good things come to those who wait.
Shepard: Oh, I'll be a good boy and wait. But, I'm just reminding you of what I was promised. Although there's one person in particular I wouldn't mind seeing a little more of.
Ashley: I know that. If last night, the night before and all nights after we got back together since Apollo's Café.
Shepard: ... I like getting my point across.
Ashley: Repeatedly, obviously.
Shepard: Guilty as charged. Allthough,  I love the costume.
Ashley: Figured you would.
Shepard: Loving the abs too.
Ashley: Yours aren't so bad either, Hero man.
Shepard: So, Miss Williams. What's in your dasterly plan for us today?
Ashley: You'll see, Skipper. You'll see.

But yeah, I didn't want to romance a bi character (just like I wouldn't want to date a bi girl in real life, just not my thing), so I feel bad for femshep players who have to decide between lesbian/bi/alien turkey thing with a boneface.

Remember what Kelly said in ME2? Character matters, not race or gender. Both Garrus and Kaidan have been with femShep from the beginning. One stabbed her in the back on Horizon, true, but that wasn't exactly 'in character' writing - just a cheap excuse to sideline him for the whole game. Same with those trust issues and bi thing in ME3. The latter actually never happens.
Btw, playing with saves recently, it suprised me that Kaidan is the only LI who doesn't leave when refused. Earned the man some good points.

No medical treatment currently necessary. Patient is however advised not to write dialogues/fanfics with his dream girl. <_<

Kelly is a video game character, you should not be taking her advice. And more to the point, she is a character that is mush in most people's playthroughs because no one can stomach someone that cheerful. Turns out, your sexuality is part of your character. And by the timeframe of ME3, humanity has known that for about two centuries. I swear, if I hear that idiotic line one more time...

Heh. When it comes to physical part Ash doesn't exist. Santa Claus doesn't exist either, sorry, but I have to tell you sooner or later. Unlike your fiancee, whom you have, no matter how much or how little like Ashley she is. Most important part - she is. She can hug you, when you feel moody blue, she can rise your spirit up, when it's down (hey, I'm still talking about spirit! If something else is rising, that's good (unless if it's temperature or blood pressure, of course)), she can wake you up with such loving kiss, so it'll make others either blush or envy.

Not true. Even considering me as statistical error (left Ashley on Virmire, still residing in this thread and rarely somewhere else).

Nah. If I call a Polish, Russian or Ukrainian with a German number I kinda expect an English dialogue ^^

No. Truth is: of all places in the world, I'd never want her to live her. The people here are too rude, especially towards men who prefer eastern european women. That plus open & covert racism, bad jobs (seriously: if my russian girl has a doctor degree, why in heaven should she do the janitor's job?!) and bad pay.

Germany is a country I don't even want to live in, but I also can't move that easily. And I -really- don't want to burden anynone with that experience living here. :?

Kaidan: You realise we have no right to watch this, right?
Shepard: I'm lookin' out for my best friend. Is that a problem?
Ashley: I don't think its a problem.
Shepard: See Kaidan, Ash doesn't think it's a problem.
Kaidan: I hate it when you two get like this.
Ashley: You have to admit, it's adorable.
Kaidan: And unexpected.
Shepard: Not really.
Kaidan: Let me guess, a certain Commander decided to put on wings and play Cupid?
Shepard: What? Oh - god no. Just something in the air.
Ashley: I can't picture that.
Shepard: What can you picture?
Ashley: Horns -
Kaidan: - Tail.
Ashley: - Pitchfork
Kaidan: - uh - oh, and an evil goatee.
Shepard: *sarcastic*... thank you. I love you both. *strokes stubble thoughtfully.* Never considered a goatee though. Think I could pull it off?
Ashley+Kaidan: Don't.
Ashley: Aw! He... headbutt her? That's sweet..!... I think.

Shepard: What - is he taking lessons from Wrex?
Kaidan: Oh god, Imagine how that would feel?
Shepard: From experience, very painful.
Kaidan: How do you -
Ashley: I don't wanna know.
Shepard: Dear god, Garrus didn't stutter like a school girl.
Ashley: Don't sound so shocked! I thought you had more faith in - *disgust* OH! God!
Shepard: Sweet Gezzus!
Kaidan: That's just not right!

*Back around the corner.*

Shepard: On the up side, score one for Vakarian.
Kaidan: Hell yeah.
Ashley: ... don't you think of anything else?
Shepard: ...
Kaidan: We're men.
Ashley: And its always a challenge not to hold it against the two of you.
Both: *indignant* Hey!

Number? You call people by numbers? Games Workshop was correct when stated all Krieg units doesn't have names, have only serial numbers... I've heard you Germans like Order, but to that degree...
Where was I? Ah, yes, girls.
Call her královna, królowa or kralya (optional - kralech'ka, if she is real cutie). At worst you'll got some facepaint slapped on your mug. But at 20th attempt you should get lucky...

Wait, you're from Dresden? Hmm, now I recall some Easter Germans I know told me they were treated as second class citizens...

Well, if that would make you more comfortable, I know few russian (generally ex-USSR) girls with doctor degree who work as janitors or cooks or kitchen hands (dishwashing, etc) or something like that and they live in Russia (Ex-USSR).

But general reason, I guess, is hidden within word you name "gastarbeiter", no? All "perks" comes with territory. Unless specific specialist was called specifically, all gastarbeiters will have less preferential treatment. And even if called as ones, they still could -  few of persons I know very well (but not all qualify as friend, since I value this world), who has been invited into foreign countries, still have/had same treatment.

CptData wrote...

Ah, good ol' racism... One more reason why I like Sapkowsky's books, free of that westernworld political absurdness, sunshine and bunnies. I guess that's the best way to show dark sides of our lives without using LE reports.

If only empirically - I never dumped anyone, so I can't compare.

Then why you wrote that? According to cycles pattern Posted Image in next cycle I should be patient and you doctor, and in cycle next after that, apparently Nightwing should be your doctor. But let's say those cycles are passed, so, who will be treating Nightwing?

Yep, you got me, Rudy. It's all the "gastarbeiter" stuff.

Seriously. I worked for Nokia, a nice international company - until that facility in Ulm got shut down. And I loved it - it was different from a standard German company. Better work athmosphere, less stress, English also sounds better ^^

One thing, Rudy: No, I don't call girls -by- numbers. I meant a "phone call". If a cute Czech girl gives me her number ... know what I mean? Maybe it got lost in translation ^^

Not sure for English. I mean I had to translate some documents from English and German (as well as participated in some conversations), German is, by structure, resembling my native (or my natives? I'm mutt, after allPosted Image), relatively easy to understand meaning - pretty much like my language, only with foreign words. English, sometimes, make it hard to understand what's what.
Plus German has interesting side effect - it generally works like "haste and concentrate" spell... As long as nobody gets a thing in German, sometimes you can just spew some nonsense and enjoy funny effects.

As for gastarbeiter stuff, you wasn't one. You worked at your home country, even if for foreign company. So I see no gast stuff here.

I guess lost in English - one of few cases when having many meanings for word is not good thing. Since at "call" I understood street conversation. Posted Image You have to have conversation first, otherwise how you get her number, eh?

@Rudy: again something got lost in translation.

When I talked about the "gastarbeiter" stuff, I was pointing at the eastern european girl that decides to live (and love) here. It's kinda interesting that Germans don't get forced to work for low pay anywhere in this world - except in their own country. It's even more odd that the "gastarbeiter" story is some stuff invented in Germany exclusively - almost. Heard of other countries going after that policy as well, but, in difference to German policy, pay well.

In very short words: things go south in Germany pretty fast. Thanks to the 1%. Did you know that less than 500 households hold more money than the lower 50% of German population?
