Now back at the Ranch, what do people think the ultimate ending for Ashley +Shepard is?
I don't know why, but I can see them both together as partners, but at the same time, if they both went their seperate ways after ME3 I wouldn't nessecarily feel unsatisfied with that either. They've been through hell, and if they just loss grounds with each other, I wouldn't lose sleep, but they'd have to write the break up pretty well. But - I dunno, I'm just thinking outloud here...

Well if you'll permit me to get all sentimental and sappy, I hope Shepley settles down and starts a family.

I don't rightly know where Ash was born, but for a lot of her life, she was a spacer like my Ashmance Shep. Seems like a fitting poetic ending, starting a spacer military family like both the Shepards and the Williamses.

WOW, all three of those pics are amazing.  I finally chose to save Ash over Kaidan the other day, and I have to say it was much easier than I thought it would be. She's one of my favorite squaddies, and my Shep's bff. Really excited to see what the friendship path is like in ME3, if they flesh out the relationships like they said they would.

Thanks, none of them are mine ( wish I was that good, but I'm getting there). I know the last two are by Raanz and Deelane, respectively, but the artist of the first one escapes me, I'll edit this post when I look it up. All three are phenomenal works of art.

To quote Mr. Williams: "Space is great, but you can't raise a family there."

For ColonialShep, i think it'd be nice if the two of them settled down on Mindoir.  She could even be made in charge of the military garrison there so there isn't another raid.

For my Earthborn Shepard, He'd probably take his son with him on the Normandy (cause the kid is gonna be in military like his dad) and Ash'd probably learn to love the kid too... I'm sure it wouldn't be hard for her, the son - Gabriel - is pretty much a clown half the time.

Imagination!  so for ME3 that would be an open ending: the reaper's asses have been kicked and the universe has been saved and Shep held his speech, others gave him a speech blabla, etc. and then you see Ash and Shep together  just after that and that's the ending.

I think that would keep everyone happy, what happens after that can be left to our minds, fanfics and the like.

Ash has every right to be as distrustful on Horizon as she wants. Anyone familiar with what Cerberus was doing in ME1 should know that. They experimented with the Rachni and the Thorian, committing heinous acts on innocent humans.

Shep dies. Ash spends 2 years keeping her mind on her work, moving on. Meanwhile, something or someone starts wiping out human colonies in the terminus systems. No one knows who or what they are. The Alliance receives intel that Shep might be alive, with Cerberus, and headed to Horizon. Ashley goes to Horizon, officially as part of the Alliance outreach program, but unofficially to corroborate that intel. The Collectors show up and abduct half the colony (somehow missing Ashley, even though she was caught by the Seekers). Shep shows up, and he's with Cerberus.

Intel confirmed.

So here's a guy who's supposed to be dead, but now he's here with a known terrorist organization with a record of mind control experimentation (see above: Rachni, Thorian), and the colony just got wiped out. Is he a clone? Is he mind controlled? Was Cerberus behind the colony attack? How is Ash supposed to know that?

Ash can't be expected to know what the player knows. And even if she was in love with Shep... he's been dead for two years. How can she even be sure it's him, let alone trust him on faith?

The fact that she drops hints in her email that she believes Shep and "can't lose him a second time" tells me that she's inclined to believe him and that she's still carrying a torch for him.

I am inclined to not throw a whiny hissy-fit that Ash was angry, and cut her some slack. Cerberus is f'd up... I wouldn't trust my girlfriend either if she was dead for two years and then somehow showed up with them.

Well said, indeed! only one thing though: "she's still carrying a torch for him"...I hope not if anything it would be MShep who carries a torch for...What's that, my mind is in the gutter again? oh.


Btw, anyone else notice the absence of B-Ash threads? Infact I'm seeing some threads stating positive stuff about Ash for once!  Is good to see for a change!

Gabriel is my Canon Shepard's son. My Shepard's name is Jonathan - the etymology of the name is hebrew, meaning 'Gift of God'. Gabriel means 'Hero of God'. My Shepards names tend to be hebrew and have a meaning 'somthing-of god' or 'God's-something'.

I believe that Aurora's Shepard already has a son.... and his name is Gabriel. 

 Indeed, and if my calculations are correct, Gabriel should be fourteen by the end of Mass Effect 3. THat is assuming Commander Shepard's story starts at 2183-2187. I believe that each Mass Effect game has a time frame of at least a year, on the inside.

Yes, it will indeed be a Shepley. It's just that prologue chapter was meant to show my Shepard's a bit different from the typical portrayals, and that he isn't a typical Earthborn. He ran away during his early childhood and acted irresponsibly - hence the kid situation.
