See... I think it would be a little weird not to bring Liara along to the monastery, at least for story reasons. She'd be the one most likely to be able to provide important context, plus she's the one who came to Shepard with the mission in the first place. If I bring Ash and Liara, does Liara override a lot of Ash's comments?
And, yes, you should bring Ash along on the rachni mission. She even has one or two snarky comments during that mission, my favorite, if I'm remembering correctly, is while the squad is preparing to enter the caves: "How come you never take me anywhere nice?"

Is it possible to take her both on the tuchanka bomb and Rachni missions on the same playthrough?
The rachni mission never expires, so you can do it whenever you want. If you need to, do the bomb mission first, then do the rachni mission after.
In my "canon" playthrough, Shepard actually doesn't make it around to doing the rachni mission until after all of the Tuchanka missions, Benning, the Citadel coup, Eden Prime (the first mission I do after getting Ash back) and Noveria.
T'soni overrides all characters dialogue no matter the mission. The monastery mission is one of the few I purposely ignore unless I have Samara alive in my playthrough.
When I have Ashley in my playthrough, I do palaven, Sur'kesh, Grissom Academy, Turian Platoon and the coup. Once I have Ashlay, I do turian bomb and the Rachni mission(though it can be done before Chronos) and she is with me for the rest of the game.
This way I have her for a lot more missions/side missions even though I might lose out on some assets(big deal) if I don't those side missions earlier.

I don't recall anything specific that you hear differently from another squadmate on that mission.
If you didn't know,and you decide to do the Rachni mission and then cure/sabotage genophage and then the coup you don't have to save the Turian platoon right away. Turian platoon and the bomb mission's don't have to be done right away. As long as you do them before going to the Citadel to speak with the asari councillor you're fine otherwise the bomb will explode.
Well, since Ash is my fave, she usually sees as most missions as possible - and even I can't take her with me all time. Doing a mission without her is like going on a climbing tour without a left boot.

That's a letter, that unromanced Shepard gets after Horizon. What could it be for Ashley? I don't really know.
For Kaidan we took original letter as an example, but it was significantly modified, all the obvious romance hints were toned down and removed, We tried to make it look it as 'seamless' as possible. It's just a letter to a friend, a former CO, one he respected, one he cared about, one he had lost.
It never made any sense to me, why would Kaidan write his apologies only to someone who had bunked with him before Ilos.
From what I know, same happens to Ashley. Liaramancers, single mSheps and femSheps never hear from her after Horizon.
Ah, that. Well ... I can't really imagine a non-romanced Ashley, but ... I try to find some good idea on that. Maybe something that gives the impression both were good friends or something?

That's most interesting - 'specially since I think Kim did a great job with Ashley. Too bad she didn't get enough lines in ME3 (at least for my taste). Could listen to that voice for rest of my life. Or so ^^
