only 2 pages until 2000. So close,

I also get a good giggle if they were staring at this

They could be looking at nearly anything in that pic. With that little smirk Ashley has it could be a video of Shepard dancing.
Also, not really ME related, but I figured I would put it up anyway. So here are a couple of my short stories: https://www.fictionp....com/u/1023745/
Back to sort of on topic. Have any of ya'll seen the rumors going around about the next ME?

You mean the rumors saying it will be in another galaxy? It sounds like Inquisition with a Mass Effect paint job. I'm not sure I buy it; it doesn't sound very creative.
I agree, I thought that the way they were talking about the next mass effect, it was going to be a step forward. But these plans sound so boring, and the fact the character is suppose to be N7. How the hell does that fit into the plotline. This just sounds stupid and uncreative, what happened to imaginations. Or have they gone to.
Exactly. And didn't Bioware go on record saying now that Shepard is done, the next ME protagonist wouldn't be a random Alliance replacement soldier Aka Shepard 2.0? They said they wouldn't try to replace Shepard, but, a Human N7 protagonist defending humanity against hostile aliens so that they can secure a foot hold in the Andromeda Galaxy sounds alot like the original triliogy all over again.

Maybe they're out of good ideas?
Lets think about this: we have the first trilogy. Shepard against the Reapers, with the help of his (or her) friends and his/her lover. The Reapers were crafted by the Leviathans a long time ago with a faulty programming, forcing them into a cycle that repeats itself every 50.000 years, destroying any advanced civilization - for more than a billion years. And suddenly mankind reaches for the stars, is around in galactic society for just a couple of decades and one - and only one - human foils plans working for countless cycles, provoking a reaction from the Reapers (they noticed him after all!) and destroying the cycle in the end (depending on your choice).
"Mass Effect 1st Trilogy in a Nutshell."
In other words: you can't top that.
Now lets think like a marketing guy: what makes thats 2nd Trilogy even more amazing and epic? And even BIGGER threat, and even BIGGER task and ... you got it. BIGGER is BETTER. But of course you need a protagonist you can identify yourself with. So you'll end in the shoes of another human character. No Asari, no Turian, no Volus, no Krogan, no Quarian - just another human. Male, female, all okay. But how to make this character special? After all, s/he needs to be able to act on his/her own, outside the chain of command. Which is only possible if s/he is part of a special operations team - like N7. Or s/he may become another Spectre. Whatever Bioware has in their sleeves here, it'll boil down to: "human player character that's part of N7 / Spectre". They're stuck with that idea and can't find another option. Also they can't add multiple species for selection since that would add an even bigger overhead how to deal with certain characters and situations and the plot itself, if your character belongs to a certain species. In worst case the difference is only cosmetic and it doesn't matter what you pick - which makes the entire idea of character creation moot.
There we are. Mass Effect 4 comes with a character that's totally no new Commander Shepard, despite being part of Alliance military & N7 team. And maybe s/he'll get accepted to the Spectres and who knows, that hostile species in Andromeda Galaxy can be pacified without genocide?
God thanks I'm not a marketing guy. I have brains. ![]()
If that's the case they should've just stuck with Shepard. At this point I'm just tired of Bioware and their games, both DA and ME are so bland now.
Don't know why but never liked that picture.
Also, chapter 28 of Shepard's journey is up and it has Ash kicking some ass in it.

^^all feedback is helpful, I'm trying to branch away from the video game but keep the best of the final game.
Only arrived to Chapter 22 till now, but really liked the story so far and liked how you branching and diverting from the game here and there, while still keeping anyway ME3 story as main storyline.
Good job with the mission on Feros by the way.
Keep up the good work ![]()

You don't like it? Idk, I think it's pretty good, considering.

I've read bits and pieces. It is hard to read multiple SciFi items at once. I like it, when I finish the series I am currently in, I plan on reading this in full.
--I will kind of agree with the picture. Nicely done, but not something I can see Ashley actually posing for. Even for Shepard...not for pictures anyway.
I've seen that picture on Ashley's page on Facebook before. I don't mind it so much, but I agree that, personality wise, I really can't see any circumstances under which Ash would wear something like that. It's really just fan fantasy.
I'm gone for a few days, and a everything blows up over a leak about the next game. Personally, I'll wait until we hear something from Bioware before I accept anything about what the new game will be about. My thoughts on the leak if it is true, however:
1. I would prefer a game set post ME3, in the Milky Way.
2. I think that would probably be too hard for Bioware to do, though. They'd either have to combine all 3 endings in some way, the way Deus Ex did with the endings to DE 1 when they did Invisible War, or they'd have to pick a canon ending. Either way, they would upset some portion of the fans - possibly a large portion - and step over lots of post war head canon.
3. Given that so many at Bioware seem to think Synthesis was the "best" ending, perhaps (at least from my point of view) it would be best to get away from the Milky Way. If the leak is accurate, I would be willing to give Mass Effect: Atlantis a shot.
4. Sadly, depending on how they do it, I think if it is set in another galaxy, it really might mean that we have all the content for Ash that we will ever have.
I am just going to wait for Bioware to say something. No point in speculating, it just causes irritation when you're wrong.
As for cut Ash content: there is hope if there is a remastered trilogy. Which would be cool if it happened.
It would be great if they would restore cut content for Ash in a remastered trilogy. Given their recent history with her, though, I am not going to hold my breath.
If they do go ahead with a remastered trilogy, it would be nice if they at least fix the marksman glitch. I would consider that alone a victory.
Yeah. I had forgotten about the Marksman glitch when I went back to play a few weeks ago. I thought "Why do I have all these unspent points and nothing in marksman?" So I put the points in, then had to listen to her constantly activating it.

Its actually stupidly easy to fix it on PC. Just involves a lot of clicking thats all.
*quietly leaves link to mod that allows PC gamers to easily allow Ashley's marksman power in combat, without the whole hassle*

Sidenote: You have to realize that Bioware's QA is utter crap (see Omega for prime example).

**snip**
Yeah, too bad I have not bothered to get ME on my PC yet. I have to live without all the nice mods and fixes.
I've actually never experienced this Marksman glitch. I've got an even worse one, half of Ashley 's romance scene dialogue is glitched in my game. The lips don't move when Ashley and Shepard talk.
The game is full of glitches and bugs, mine has Ashley floating behind me when shes not in my squad lol. I just get a good giggle out of it and she even throws grenades every now and then.
Its actually a helpful glitch.
I think the solution to that one is to just take Ashley along all the time.
It's not a bad solution, really. ![]()
I didn't realize she was behind me at first, and these grenades kept hitting the enemy and I was like where the hell are these grenades coming from because EDI and Garrus don't really have grenades. When I first saw her, it scared the crap out of me. and then I was curious and stared at her for like a good five minutes straight I reckon.
