I know there's a difference in expression, but I think Shepard's the kind of person who internalises alot. Only a few people can break through his stonic persona (For my Shepard those people are Ash, Gabriel, River and another yet-to-be-revealed person).

Although, yes, it is very much what a jerk would do....

Ash: *Pushes away and walks down the stairwell toward the bed* But you died, Skipper. You died and lived again. That’s not supposed to happen...it just doesn’t. I still can’t believe my eyes.
Shepard: *Follows her* You want me to tell you that I’m still me?
Ash: No...
Shepard: *Turns away, eyes slightly damp, begins walking away when Ashley speaks again*

Ash: *Her robe is lying on the ground, she stands at the foot of Shepard’s bed* I want you to show me.

I think we can all agree that this is one of the most simultaneously badass and yet touching visions of the Ash/Shepard physical reunion most of us have ever read.  Bravo sir.

I've been pondering quite a bit how the whole Ash/Shep dynamic will be in ME3.  On one hand you have the standard "model" they use of after each big mission you get a little new romantic dialogue that finally leads to something towards the end.  That one works because it keeps you after it.  If they let Ash and Shep get back together too early in the game, the rest of the game you'd have nothing to look forward to relationship-wise. 

But I'm playing Dragon Age: Origins again and realized that maybe it isn't so bad to have the romance come to fruition early.  As any of you DA:O players know you can get romantic pretty quickly with Morrigan and it doesn't take away from the fun of being in a relationship with her.  In fact it's kind of cool, 1) having the other team members know and make remarks about it, and 2) kiss her whenever I want.  I think most of us wouldn't mind it at all if we were able to reconcile with Ash early on and then invite her up to the loft or whatever, kind of like how I think you could with your lover in ME2 (which I never personally experience as I was loyal to our girl).

@Mega; That is a weird/cold look to give, when you see someone you loved after quite some time (even though it wasn't that long for Shepard), it kinda looks like he'\\s looking past her, distracted by something in the background.

or that's the upset look of being called a traitor. Although he's a model, Sheploo doesn't emote well. at least femshep looks a little upset whileon Horizon...well my femsheps do but I'm sorta dept at the ME CC's

well sinceI'ma fan of the majority of the characters in the series, not just Ashley, I could see Ashley and Jacob making a cute couple. they're both marines and they're both in great shape so Icould see them working out together, like in the picture, plus they both know their way around weapons. I wouldn't put the new weapons bench feature in ME3 past being something Jacob taught Shepard haha.

^I like Jacob and I can see Ash and him being good friends, having a laugh whilst working, perhaps the occasional drink together...but I don't think they would get past that, (Next to not getting past Shepard ofcourse, who would immediately have his trusty airlock readied once more.)

I can see ashley dating JAcob when:
Mshep is with Liara or isn't interested in Ashley.
Straight femshep that didn't romance Kaidan
Liara Mancing femshep that saves Ash


pretty much if Ash isn't with Shep and she's alive in ME2 I can see her and Jacob getting together. :3

Also thinking a little more about Jacob and Ash...I suppose under the right circumstances they might try, I think it would be a bumpy relationship though and like elek said...the alliance thing isn't gonna help, unless Ash's views on the alliance have changed somewhat.

Yeah I can see her being a tad upset with him sincehe actually had a choice iunlike Shepard, but I figure she'd respect his decision seeing that he did it just to protect to colonist. She's smart enough to see reason and not just in black and white and I'll give her credit for that.
