Heard about this situation once, when Shepard was romancing Liara and almost didn't speak to Ashley. So it's possibly a bug and game assumes either it's a little to late for romance or that your Shepard is female.

Anyway, does romance progress normally after this bugpoint?

I don't know. I haven't got Liara yet. As I've said. I've only done Feros so far. I've been spending my time doing every sidequest I can get my hands on.

I've had the conversation about family, military service and religous beliefs. Said that my Shep believed in a divine too. And so on. But I dunno. It's weird. Never happened to me before.

If you choose "You're out of line!" in the conversation about having aliens on board, you don't enter a romance with Ashley and this dialogue will show up instead.

The only way this would've happened is if you told her she was out of line when she said she doesn't trust the aliens on the Normandy. If that's the case, you blew the romance (it's locked out). You're gonna have to reload the game at a point before you did this if you want the romance to happen.

Edit: ORRR you're talking to Liara a lot. You might've accidentally tripped the romance with her.

I think there would be less problems in a relationship between Ash & Kaidan than the Ash&Jacob one we were talking about...They are both on more or less one line on some important things (like loyalty to the alliance for example) and we know they were friends, I still have a hard time imagining them as a couple though, but on paper this couple would be pretty good IMO. (Although it would have never been  a long relationship ofcourse)

Edit: The Audio lead stated ME3 has 40000 lines right now...since ME2 had less (I believe 25000? not sure)This could just mean longer chats with Ashley! (Which could make sense since we have a smaller crew then ME2) *Being positive*

Nope. I was paragon all the way through. I asked her for her reasons and comented on the pessimism of her views and then encouraged her that humanity didn't have to stand alone.

God I pray I don't have to start again. I have that conseration at the start of the game, just after feros. BEFORE I completed all the effing sidequests. I DON'T want to do them again....


edit: I've only completed Feros. Liara isn't even there!

LOL, Ashley doesn't like Sheploo!!! 

Also, gibbed is your best friend.... play the game without doing those sidequests (since they are so freakin boring and tedious) and just check the boxes in gibbed that said you did them. 

That's how I roll anyway... 

EDIT: OH and obviously you aren't being renegade enough!
