Has anybody watched that movie Battle of L.A? There’s a female soldier in the squad that would IMO make a great actor for Ash.

I could literally shut my eyes, listen to her talk (especially when she snarks about how she didn't get that far on her good looks), and I'd hear Ash. And that part where she bayonets the alien...so badass. Michelle Rodriguez has my vote to play Ash.

Michelle Rodriguez plays that type of role so often. She's seems kind of typecast. I'd probably think of her as Michelle Rodriguez first and before being the character of Ashley. Hmm... actually maybe they should get her?

It would make the credits kind of  interesting.

Speaking of Battle: Los Angeles, that guy who was in squad of the team was a Second Lieutenant. He's really the only basis I have to compare what Ashley's rank would be compared to being a Gunnery or Operations Chief.

Even if Vega outranks Ashley in the Alliance, She's a Spectre and Spectre's outrank everyone that's why you're able to mouth off at Rear arsehole Admiral Mikhalovich becuase he can't do a damn thing about it with your Spectre status.

Oh hell yes... when she stabs that alien thing yelling like hell...I think of Ashley lol Or the part were that alien juice goes in her mouth and she shouts "It's not funny man! That nasty sh*t just went in my mouth" and the black guy laughs.

Loved that movie.

Michelle Rodriguez? Is that her? If so she gets my vote too. She's the pefect actor to play Ash. Voice is good too. Not to mention she's hot.

Second Lieutenants command platoons, typically about 30-40 troops. A Gunnery Chief would likely be akin to a Staff Sergeant or Sergeant First class, serving as a platoon sergeant. PSGs are second in command in the platoon, and when the platoon splits into two sections, they command one of the sections. Aaron Eckhart's character in Battle: Los Angeles was a Marine SSgt, and the platoon sergeant for that platoon. Gunnery Chiefs, like Staff Sergeants, probably have vastly more time in service than the 2LT who is nominally in charge of them.

Command. I want to see just how she's gorwn as a tactician or strategist now that she's an officer. We know she can lead in the field, now I wanna see how good she does leading larger forces.

I agree. I don't want her stuck in Shepard's shadow like Garrus who's good leader in his own right.

I don't mind if she breaks away like on Virmire for a few, but I want to spend more time in battle with her. Hearing her over the radio during a fight isn't as fun as fighting next to her. Besides, my Shepard has always loved "dancing" on the battlefield with Ash.

THIS is another reason why I like Ash so much.  She was a platoon guide under her DI, Ellison, then she became a Gunnery Chief at 25, which is just awesome.
And now she is a Lieutenant and the second human SpecTRe, ready to lead the fight for life itself against the Reapers.
Holy crap!  I WANT ME3 AND I WANT IT NOW!

Just watch it for the lulz and to see what kind of fail happens, like i plan to, or don't... it's not a big deal.

EDIT: Also, no to michelle rodriguez... waaaay too butch looking imo.

So going back to the ME movie, I am slightly happier knowing that it won't be the story of the games, which means Ash won't be in it - which means I don't have to hear anyone say that f*cking Michele Rodriguez should play her ever again (sorry I just think its all wrong).

I am curious if it will be Shepard AFTER ME or before..... if it's before it might be an interesting look at how he became the man he was in the ME trilogy. I'd rather that. If its after.... well that's a lot of assumed canon. If that's the case Ash might STILL not be a part of it - at least not in the way we would all want.
