Shepard should be able to change their name to "I told you so" for ME3 that way everyone addresses them as "Commander told you so." bahaha.

Ash: Hey skipper
Shep: *ignores*
Ash: Skipper?
Shep *still ignores*
Ash: *sigh* hey I told you so
Shep: oh hi Ashley I didn't see you there, what's up?

6000th post and new page so Top Ash!

"Welcome back, Shepard."
"Thanks."

Ha! That was the first time I've seen and heard that.

As for whether they've talked before that or not, who can say? I mean during the action things aren't going to be awkward between them no matter what. That interaction doesn't tell us much really.

In fact I kind of like it if they haven't talked before this. Just shows how easy it is for people who were close to fall back into familiar rhythm without even thinking. I'm also positive that while all this is going on the state of their friendship/relationship hasn't even begun to enter their minds. I might not for a little while when everything is go go go and figuring out the next move. Could be a whole intro mission or two in before they even have a moment to say anything other than "business business business tactical planning yes business good idea we'll get on that business right now."

Agreed, or they could have something similar to Williams and Elizabeth in Pirates Three, wher ehtey has out the entire thing in the mmiddle of battle and when everything but them and their team is dead they kiss and make up (quite literally in fact) That'd be awethummmm.

Shepard: ...and here's the armory.

Ash: So there's leather seats, an actual galley, and an armory that's not in the cargo hold.

Shepard: And its full of guns.

Ash: Yeah. Hey is that a Kassa Locust?

Shepard:  You won't believe how we got ahold of that one.

Ash: You'll have to tell me sometime.

Shepard: I guess I will.

EDI: Are you planning on making awkward small talk for the rest of the mission or should I just seal off the room and let you two break the tension? I do enjoy the sight of humans on their knees.

Ash: Did the computer just suggest that we-

EDI: That was only partially a joke.

That was a great find, excellent to hear the voice without some announcer thinking the audience wants to hear their voice rather than the actual material LOL.

Yeah, Ash can't really call Shepard "Skipper" just yet in that clip because he hasn't received orders to assume command of the Normandy at that point, which of course would happen not long thereafter. I doubt she would call him Skipper so early into it, but I do agree with Badpie that it's a good sign. In the order of most professional -> most familiar, it would be being called Commander -> Shepard -> Skipper. That she starts off on tier 2 as opposed to tier 1 is a good sign. Probably the worst thing she could have said was a flat "Commander." when he comes on board. Actually when he steps foot on he isn't even reinstated by that point...could you imagine Ashley just ackowledging him with a "Mr. Shepard?" I would throw the controller through the TV.

Yeay the surprise! Been a while but worth waiting for. What I wouldn't give for another Badpie creation though that takes place between the end of ME and start of ME2. You have a couple of those and they are my favorite reads and don't risk stepping on any "canon" toes.

On the rarest occasion, Shepard does sound like a doofus. It's one of the reasons I love him. Hehehe.

Either that - or he automatically feels more at home on the Normandy because: Ash is there, it's His ship (F*ck you Alliance! Browncoats for life!) and he's happy to get backup before the Cannibals... well - cannablism him.

I'd think all Shepards would call the Normandy home, Ashley or No Ashley. It's like...Thre's no Shep without the Normandy and there's no Normandy without Shepard. I still want Ash and Jacob to be in the armory bantering over the guns. All would be right in my ME worlds.

Lol - Ash v Jacob. Joker'd probably sell tickets and Garrus would set up the boxing ring. Hehe. Shepard'd put about 5k credits on Ash to win :P

ugh, not like that silly. Like them at two seperate benches tossing guns back and forth and fixing them up in record time, then having an epic hi five when they finish.

lol, on my ship the Normandy already has an MMA cage for crew sparring. Kallen sparred with Grunt and Garrus at the same time and pwned them. Ash would be impressed and it oculd lead to some rough but hot smexyness in workout clothes. >.>

Why would Shepard consider the Normandy home when s/he's got a perfectly serviceable apartment?

As nice as it would be to kick back there. The Galaxy is about to go to sh*t - I reckon Shepard would wanna fix that then tell everyone to p!ss off if they ever need his help again. My Shepard would become a semi-recluse on Inti'sei (that how you spell it?) but if something really hit the fan. He would get off his ass and do something - but after saving the Galaxy half a dozen times over, it really takes the fun out being a marine. Hell - the rush from living through all those experiences, I would be surprised if Shepard WASN"T an Adrenline junkie.

I like the idea of Shepard and Ash going off and exploring other parts of the galaxy for the Council or the Alliance or whoever.

Also, "Ash Butt" (XD) ... I can't get enough!

You and I seem to have similar thoughts Aurora. In a flashback I had Kallen mention she missed the battlefield when She and Ash were...cuddling. Needless to say bad jokes were cracked by Ashley in response.
