I like to think Shep would get a sizeable bonus so he could semi retire.  But I don't think he really would.  Too much of a workaholic (mine).

Ash too.  She could never be the stay at home wifey type.

Mine would want to keep in the action of being in the military and he'd totally sit around hoping for a bat signal to come and save the galaxy again. Like, aurora said... all of the events would make him an adrenaline junkie. 

This is the beauty of head canon... my Ash could... (well, maybe not the stay at home wifey type, but definitely a wife and mother that works)... not in the foreseeable (or however you spell it) future, but she definitely would at some point. She 's family and would want to have a big one of her own. Probably 3-4 of her own. 

My Shepard would both be welcoming and dreading if the bat signal came. Welcoming it to fuel his adrenline addiction (lol - he used to do Parkour as a kid too) and dreading it because it nearly always falls to him to save the galaxy.

Hey - at least adrenline addiction is better than red-sand. I've read the books, that sh!t is really hard to break from (Paul Grayson was only an occasional addict and it gave him hell).

Ash would be a good mother - hell she takes care of Gabriel and River while Shepard's dead and sometime while he's alive to, but she's not smothering or over protective, Gabriel has that covered.

Haven't read the books yet, but considering my Shepard is earthborn, and part of a gang with no parents into play. I believed he once overcame the red sand addiction and joined the Allience to occupy his time to stay away from his old gangster buddies.  Hoping it becomes a bigger deal in me3 maybe.

Completely support Ash. Accidently followed the Miranda storyline in my first playthrough thinking Ashley wasn't coming back.  Playing ME1 again to make a whole new version before launch.

The human squad-mates from ME1 are probably the two characters that are most likely to be decent parents. Ash even helped raise her younger siblings, so she has experience in that field.

It's too bad that I'm guessing that Shepard is sterile post-Lazarus, I would love to raise a pack of bad-ass-babies with her. I suppose artificial sperm created from Shepard's genome is still a possibility, though.

Stop ruining fan-girl dreams with technicalities!

Although they did state that Shepard was to be brought back EXACTLY as he was before he died... I would imagine that includes certain parts of his lower anatomy too....

Like I've said, she looks good, but... Ash is a soldier. When it's life and death, you do not voluntarily handicap yourself for the sake of looking good.

Anyway. I can see Ash wanting to raise a child. However, she does seem to revel in the military life, and she is young. So it may be one or the other.

Why should he be sterile? We saw that the Lazarus serum revived dead blood cells. Why shouldn't it also revive Shep's little soldiers?

I'm actually guessing that the Jewels are not among Shepard's original parts. Lost in transit, as it were.

It would be a relatively low priority for Lazarus, in any case, I figure. Cerberus and the Alliance already have samples of Shepard's DNA if they want to recreate him or Mirandize him.

Big families are probably a normal sight on all the new colonies and I can imagine that it is encouraged and supported by the authorities.
And I can totally imagine Ash and Shep settling down after ME3 and the whole Reaper biz is done. I mean, they are already twice (thrice) saviors of all life, what else could they hope to achieve in their careers? And their bb's would be awsome bb's. No doubt about that.

Bat signal lol

The first thing my Shepard is gonna do is visit some awesome place with lots of booze and sunshine. After all that fighting, he's earned a little rest. He might stay a spectre and do his own thing though. I like the idea of Shep and Ash double-teaming against the bad guys for a few years. Kicking ass and looking good.

I don't know if my Shepard would want to get married (Player years over) at all. But I think Ash would at some point like to - and if she wants that he's gonna give it to her. She's got this family vibe about her.

Babies? I don't know...maybe...yes....but she's defo not getting four!  A day at the park would be HELL.

Knowing my Shepard's luck if Ash gets knocked up it'll turn out to be triplets. All girls!

I like the idea of them having kids and settling down for a few years. My Shepard is really a thinker at heart. He's obviously good at fighting, but puts more value in his thoughts and ideals. So he wouldn't mind some rest,

I see Ash as someone who would still like to do lots of things when she settles down for a while and then I can see her suddenly wanting kids. Shepard would probably resist at first, but in the end I have the feeling Ash will get her way.

Ash: You ok, Shepard?
Shep: Earth is blown to hell. It's safe... sort of, but everything's been razed. *almost laughing* it looks like it did when I was a kid.

Ash: At least now they can claim there's a reason for the damage and disarray.
Shep: Yea. Suppose so. *Jumps of debris. Pulls out revanant assault rifle and navigates debris, Ash+Vega follow*.
Vega: What now, Commander?
Shep: Well I was planning to hijack the nearest ship and head to some tropical beach on a far off planet. Or maybe some Alps, haven't skied before, always wanted to learn. There has to be at least ONE planet that the Reapers haven't destroyed. *Shrugs* Or a hot shower.
Ash: Oh sweet merciful god, yes!
Vega: Personally, I would settle for a good hot meal. Homecooked if possible.
Shep: Also - yes.
Vega: But, sir. Hijacking?
Shep: Already have half a dozen different charges against me - what's one more?
Ash: You're a  Jacka*ss, Jonathan. I see where Gabriel gets it from.
Vega: I dunno who Gabriel is, but with all due respect, gotta agree with her sir.
Shep: Ash - you served with me since Eden Prime. Vega - you were my prison warden for six months and served with me for the better part of this last year. And you only just noticed?

Ash: Is that why we're standing on a shuttle craft about to ski down a ridiculously steep valley.
