TOPIC: done this one before in the 1.1 a while back but now we know ash is back and the romance will contiune it seems more relavant now. so here it is.how do you want ash and sheps romance to end?what do you envision in your head.

do you want an ambigous ending.

do you want a white pickett fence ending.

or perhaps you want an epilogue ending.

I want an ending that doesn't really say anything except the idea that Ash and Shepard are together in some way and happy with that.  The rest is in my brain and I like it there.  Everyone's post ME3 head canon is different so I'd rather not have them say "Then they got married and moved to Montana and had eight babies."  STORY RUINED (for me).

Eight babies? What are they...Rabbits? Hamsters? I just want a ending where Ash admits her feelings and wants to stay with Shepard. Don't understand why a lot of people on these forums are asking for a wedding and kids. It's the end of world! No time for that shiz. Keep it real Shepard, keep it real...

For some reason saving the galaxy opens you up to a LOT of assassination attempts. Shepard and Ash are gonna be too busy fending off Batarian slavers or crazed Turian bounty hunters to have kids.

i dont know about kids but i would like a Mass effect wedding for ash and shepard.open ended dosnt work for me personnely,i would be highly annoyed if the screen just gose blank after harbinger explodes and galaxy is saved;roll credits.

i do however think that the ending should be player tailored.

like in liaras DLC,they should have a convo about their future.


Ash: shepard,if we survive this and thats a big IF.......what do you want to do;i mean....about us?


Top choice: weve never really had a time for us ash,i would like to spend the rest of my life with you.if you want to spend the rest of yours with me.

Middle choice: we have to focus on stoping the reapers,then we can worry about us.....i do however know i want you in my life ash,no matter what happens.

Bottom choice: i was just thinking we would go back to my quaters,while i give you your weekly "phsycal training" test.find out if your still in prime condition soldier.

which ever dialgoue choice you pick along with others during the course of the game determines your ending.

I'd be open to a post ME3 player choice thing, sort of along the lines of snuglging in the cabin where should the romance survive you get to further it and plus ther'll be DLC's so we might get a happily ever after DLC.

This seems like the logical path to take, in order to make as many people as possible happy.  I'd prefer it this way too cos... I'd like to have some "say" in how it all ends.  There's a good possibility that if this does happen, there will be an option that suits my preference.  Hope so anyway.

I knw I'll trigger the happiest ending in one of my PT's it's bound to happen. Man I do not envy the ME team, they ahve to find ways to appease everyone since I know some people want Ashley to be Ashley Shepard or Ashley Williams-Shepard. XD

This... I don't think it's elitist either.  It could easily be confused for it, but based on the last comment I'd say it's more.... protective?  Protective of the character you love just the way she is/was.  Nothing wrong with that. <3

I think there should only be an option to Romance if your Shepard had some sort of positive relationship. Not just "don't talk to her, save her, then romance her" I ahte dhtat I didn't talk to Tali at all, then still could romance her Or being completely crappy to her, then being able to romance her. I still say the more the merriersince any Ash fan is a good Ash fan.

That's different... The s/s crowd (in this case.. you, cos I don't know about anyone else for sure)  understands and appreciates Ashley's character.  The awesome trolly is coming for you in March ADL.  At least I think it is...

The awesome trolley hs come for most of my sheps, Including my very lucky SI Shepard, it's just a select few who are waiting patiently, probably playing games on their omni-tools to pass the time. I've got tons of Shepard's who , as your sig used to say, ccannot deny Ms. Williams haha.

I didn't romance Ashley because I don't play ManShep, but I am a fan of her and I agree with this assessment. I don't think it's elitist. To me it even seems potentially insulting to the character and her fans if it's a situation where the person wanting to romance her now was one of those that were making fun of her and calling her names like 'bigot', 'hillbilly' or 'zealot' back before her makeover, which I've seen before on these forums. <_<

I don't want to get into quantifying 'degrees' of fandom of who's the 'truer' fan and whatnot, because that does seem elitist. That said, I just don't have a lot of respect for someone who is only interested in the character's physical appearance. Especially when that can change with the snap of a finger, click of a mouse or an Alternate Appearance Pack. The only reason her new look bothered me in the first place was because I was worried about how it might reflect changes to her personality. In the end the model is a very small part of what makes the character who they are, and if that's all they're interested in, then theyre missing the big picture.

@ADL: I agree with you to a point that "any Ash fan is a good Ash fan." For me, it really depends on how you define "Ash fan." People who want to fundamentally change Ash's character (I'm not talking character development, I'm talking about people who say "I like Ash, but she'd really be awesome if..."), are not Ash fans, IMHO. People who only now say they like Ash because she's "suddenly hot," are not Ash fans, IMHO (in all fairness, I wear glasses and ponytails a lot, so I might be projecting a little on this one, lol).

As for Ash as a S/S LI, I have to be honest: without knowing exactly why she and Kaidan weren't S/S LIs in ME1, I'm reluctant to voice an opinion on how I'd feel about them becoming S/S LIs in ME3. It would be a little jarring for me, personally, without a very well-crafted explanation. It would be like Liara suddenly only being interested in male!Shep in ME3.

This is too catered to one person's preferences.  What about Shepards that aren't romantic saps but still love Ash?  Mushy goo words don't come out of my Shepard's mouth. If they did, the game is ruined for me.  They have to keep it ambiguous and let you decide in your own head.  Because nothing fits everyone.  Also, I would pick the bottom option there, but then that sucks if that means you don't get to have an awesome relationship.  If I wanted Shepley to be together I would HAVE TO pick the first option, which would make me kind of cringe with sweetness.

My Shep and Ash have an rarely spoken love.  They just love.  He wants her forever but he's not about to drop on one goddamned knee and propose.  That would be weird for him.  

Can't people just have a loving committed long term relationship without wanting to get married?  The answer is yes so a "marriage" option wouldn't work for everyone.

Well that's a point I can agree too. the "I like her but it'd be really awesome if [insert something that's a contradiciton to her liek saying the turians re the most amzing race ever]" then yeah I'd drawn the line. Also regarding S/S I think one of the devs sid tht S/S with her and Kaidan was cut due to time contraints, because they'd have to had a scene if shepard was intiating the romance with Kaidan , Liara, and Ash at the same time and that'd require more dialog recordings and such. the files were on the disc so you can find Hale's romance lines to Ashley if you try, she does them well.

As far as the ending goes, I'm a sucker for simplicity. I wouldn't mind seeing them holding each other, while gazing out of the observation deck, watching the rest of the gathered forces (if any are left) start to head back to their respective homeworlds.

I'm already skeptical about Ash in ME3 at first glance it seems Bioware wants Ash to be Miranda 2.0
I don't want Ash to be alter just to be a more agreeable character.  When Ash gives Shep the knight in shining armor talk, she basically tells you I'm not something you can bend to your will.

As for S/S Ash I doubt Bioware can pull it off without making it look like appeasement. They should've made her bi from the beginning.

I believe Bioware intended for Ash to be straight, if they can make Liara,  Shaira, Samara, Kelly, and Morinth bi, they could've easily made others bi..
