They should have! They're the only military person on the ship so they should have been promoted to Spectre. Garrus had quit C-Sec, Wrex is a bounty hunter, Tali's a Quarian, and Liara's scientist. Or they should have been revealed as on on Horizon.

That's not a fair assumption since that ability of hers was added for Mass Effect 2.

If Ashley's passive effects more people than just her she'll be up there as well since the squad is better, not just her.

Um...Exactly? You didn't get what I was trying to say? Abilities like that are not in ME1 which is why that is not a fair assumption to make.

Well Wrex has a Krogan battlemaster passive and that could have been some sort of leadership skill but it jsut ups his health ever further so he's less killable (unless you're Ashley or Shepard)

Well, I actually posted it in the WRONG Ashley thread, but I left it because I AM SO HAPI

MAH GURL ASH.  SHE'S BACK IN FULL GLORY.

Lol yes tights and heels for Kaidan.

Also, I had a thought: One of Ashley's best and most insightful lines is at the end of ME1 where she talks about how it frustrated her that, as infantry, she'd be largely useless in the fight against the Reapers ("That's what pisses me off -- not being able to fight back!").  I really think Spectre status is a great thing for her, since she finally has the power to act.

They really need to post some screenshots of Ashley on the ME3 site.  She's in the demo they're showing at conventions, so she's probably using that armor in combat.

Ash: When they inducted me into the Spectres they gave me a set of armor and this jacket.

Shepard: The office must have changed since my day, remember how I had to buy all of our gear myself?

Ash: (laughs) I remember how you had to run around Noveria dressed in that Devlon Survivor armor. What did they call that color?  "rubber duck yellow"?

Shepard: Yeah it was rubber duck yellow I hated that suit. but at least it had a decent shield system. Do you suppose that I could get a Spectre suit in black?

Ash: The quartermaster told me that I could have any color I wanted as long as it was blue. The Asari agents aren't really fond of any other color.

Shepard: Looks like I'm stuck with the old N7 kit then.

They really should. Maybe they hadn't made the female version with the demo yet and since she's not in combat they didn't need to? I want mah Vs Spectre pics though!
