Ashley is more attractive than Miranda. Before the makeover, after the makeover, in the Mako... it doesn't matter. Ashley is more real.

True, Miranda is a bit of a Butterface in game.

I have to admit, I'm a little weary over how Ash will be presented in ME3. Not the "Miranda 2.0" stuff, but her views on Aliens. Contrary to what her haters say, a lot of Ashley's stances were actually justified and correct.It wasn't fear or hatred, just trust issues. I'm hoping her new writer is able to accurately portray that (that is, if that aspect of her character is still present.)

in this repsect im really hopeing the choice to paragon her into a more accepting view of aliens and the council finally comes into play.imagine an ash that would be willing to sacrfise her life to save a turian or asari colony of billions of lives.that would be some serious charecter devlopement.

From what I gather, I think the comparison with Miranda has more to do with the aesthetic and less with actual character. The "sexy" uniform or armor look, the wedges, the long hair. I am not sure anyone knows if her personality will be that of Miranda or not.

What makes it worse is that... those aren't the kinds of things that Ashley wouldn't wear... especially in combat. Now, "fanservice" can be attributed to the hair...as a LOT of us asked for that (even me!) ... but the problem comes when it looks like they tried way to hard to make her another form of eye candy for the player. She looked amazing as she was... and while a few changes wouldn't be so bad... she's had quite a few. It's like they are trying to make her a more accepted character than she was and if they are willing to do that... they may be willing to change her personality to something completely different.

That's why these comparisons are brought up... people aren't saying that Ash and Miranda are alike in their personalities, but in their "eye candy" appearances.

She has armor. In that demo they wer all in casual gear (besides Vega I'm guessing since they aren't showing him.) Hell Shepard and adnerson were in casual gear as well. You don't need armor to pull someone onto a ship and cover them against melee creatures. /broken record.

most likely to hide his face,they're not showing him until the game is out. He's the ONLY one in full armor. Anderson's not, Ashley's not, and SHEPARD is not.

He said she and every squadmember has full-body armor and a helmet in the game. Maybe its split between casual, maybe its alternate, who knows. She's getting armor and a helmet if you don't like the hair either, why are people still going on about this?

When I was reading the thread it seemed to get boring when people started to complain about the casual clothes again when it was said Ashley was going to wear armor. Although the hair doesn't seem necessary but I can let it go since she is still hot.

I don't think there's anything wrong with discussing how Ash's armor will be incorporated into ME3, since we still don't know exact details. We know it will be available, but what form will it come in? Will it be the classic Pheonix? Will we be able to mod it the way we could in ME1? Will you choose squad outfits the way you did in ME2, by going to your computer? Will the consequence for cheating on Ash be that she refuses to wear armor?

I don't think Sarge was complaining, I think he wanted to discuss a few of the possibilities. Nothing wrong with that on the discussion thread. If people aren't fans of the topic, they don't have to participate. As with all topics, eventually the thread will move on.

I'm not saying Sarge is specifically complaining. Although when someone brings it up some posters seem insulted by Ashley's initial clothing even though it isn't permanent. I personally do wonder if they will keep her normal armor. I think it would be best if it was a modified phoenix armor since Garrus has a more modified version of his old blue and black armor.

I was under the impression that someone had said Ashley can only wear the catsuit in combat and not wearing armor, which is not true. Though if I could I'd have her in that gear 24/7. I'm also really hoping she gets to use the Revenant. Is it just me or does that gun have Ashley written all over it?

Yes. Yes it does.  In ME1  always gave her the Kovalyov because it has such a pretty sounding burst. Like the Revenant.  ....so pretty.....

RE: Various romance endings to ME3.  This is not going to happen.  We all know full and well that Bioware is going to pick a thing and run with it - maybe a couple things.  But the reality is, as much as we love the romances and as important as they are to us they are still classified as a "sub plot."  So don't expect wedding bells, white dresses and babies.  From a writing and production standpoint they're going to have to do something that appeals to everyone, which means leaving it pretty ambiguous.*  That leaves everybody happy.  

With this,

• you can be sure that Shepley got hitched.
• You can be sure that they ran around the galaxy righting wrongs.
• You can be sure they stuck with the Alliance and spent their entire retirement years being awesome generals.
• You can be sure they quit the Alliance and went a lived on a beach.
• You can be sure they moved to Idaho and had four beautiful children.
• You can be sure they opened a diner somewhere on the outer rim to cater to space travelers.
• Etc. Etc anything your own personal heart desires

So don't get disappointed if your Shepard doesn't get to marry Ash on a beach on Amaterasu at the end credits.  They're just trying to make everyone happy while pissing off as few people as possible.

Neutral choices in colony, leads the best reasonable romance conversation. Paragon choices just pisses Ash off however she sends away the letter anyway. I never tried the renegade way. But i believe the Kelly's question is the real key for keeping relationship or not. And there is cheating of course.
