I'm a fan if they stick to the same story and group of characters. I don't get the negativity surrounding Ash. Everyone seems to call her a racist ****. I call her the Sass Master

And it's that negativity that would probably cause changes to her character or a complete replacement in a rebooted series. No thanks.


Now, if they keep it the same like the upcoming Halo:CEA game... with just updated graphics (although, I'd prefer using the newest engine possible and making the game as beautiful as it can be)... then I'd be up for it. Throw a few new nuggets and information in... possibly a few new quests or a slightly longer story and some easter eggs... and you have a good reboot. IMO of course.

Also I think it'd be sweet if her spectre armor featured that reflective visor. Or at least have it like an optional for customization sake.

Um what are you guys talking about? There's no reboot of Mass Effect. It's a trilogy and the next game is ME3. tehy're bringing back elements of ME1 that people asked to return like EXP for killing an enemy instead of cumulative over the level. Even if they did do a reboot it wouldn't be when ME3 is coming becasue that'd thrown the characters and stuff out of whack for the trilogy. Especially Ashley and Kaidan.

Someone mentioned they would like to see a reboot in like 5 years or something. We were just giving our thoughts on it.

I think I was the one who started that thought. I mentioned it about 50 pages back because halo was doing it, and Mass Effect is a pretty damn fine game. It deserves a reboot every now and then.

While I absolutely loved her old visor on her helmet (which hopefully she'll have in her new blue armor suit) ... after ME2... I think I'm all visored out. lmao

@ reboot ME series

BW could do it. The thing is, you can see a lot of differences between ME and ME2, but not as much between ME2 and ME3.
And they could do it without destroying / altering existing characters, adding additional stuff - you name it. However, they could fix some stuff and add additional dialogues.

In case of a reboot, I do have some wishes ...
Doesn't fit here, but some of them are dealing with Ashley (or more precisely, with Ash & Kaidan). I'd like to see them more frequently in ME2 for example. Also I wish BW would deal in a different way with the VS on Horizon. More dialogue, maybe one or two assignments (like LotSB).. I want to be able to safe BOTH on Virmire .... and not just that. Also I'd like to see more "real" friendships, not just romantic relationships.

Ashley demands it as well, by the way. I want her as BFF when playing as F!Shep =)

Someone at Bioware has tweeted something along the lines of deeper friendship, so I have good hope for that.

As for rebooting, I'm not a fan of reboots unless the game could have been a lot better the first time round, but still has potential. I like Mass Effect the way it is, if they just slap some new graphics on it and a few extras then I'd would be a waste of their time in my opinion.

And revisions can be very risky, it could be better, but it could also easily be worse. Like saving both Kaidan and Ashley, if you can do that, the game would miss an emotional high. That could work against the game, as much as it could improve it.
