Which reminds me, I've got to replay ME1 &ME2 before March since Conrad didn't show up. =(
I had a perfect save too.

I usually sends her with the Batarians. I think she'd be a little hurt for having to be carried back to the ship by FemShep or Manshep. She's pretty independent so I can see her pride being slightly hurt by not making it back to the ship on her own power.
I touched on the rescue and her feelings on it briefly in the short fan-fic I posted a couple of pages back.

Since my Shepards always go back to the bomb ... poor Ash has to suffer the indignity if she wants to be saved.
I don't think she minds being picked up by PV Shepard since I have a sneaking suspicion her hand on his rear isn't an accident.
But if my femshep had saved her (Kaidan survived) she might not have been too impressed.

Not saying it's a big issue, but it'd be mostly internal like "Damn it. I'm being carried to safety." and that'd sort of motivate her to be better so that she can always make the end of the mission on her own power.
Agreed. I think Ashley would be thankful for the rescue but being put in the position of the traditional damsel would be something that would annoy her for a while, IMO.

Shepard: Aside from a slight hangover, yes. I did. Ashley is sleeping in, she dug up some old memories.
Kelly: What kind of memories?
Shepard: The kind that should be kept private. Though thank you for your concern.
Kelly: Also - I saw Vega and Commander Pierce come back together last night, they seemed very deep in conversation.
Shepard: You wouldn't have anything to do with that, would you?
Kelly: I am shocked at the implication sir.
Shepard: Fine. Well do you know where she is? Roxanna is supposed to be on duty.
Kelly: She hasn't reported in since last night.
Shepard: I smell something fishy. I'll be right back.
*goes down one floor to crew deck, starboard observation, here's voices. Vega + Pierce still deep in convesation*
Shepard: You to realise your own duty right?
Pierce: Christ john! Don't scare me!
Shepard: You two are on duty you realise?
Pierce: Wa- we were talking all night?
Vega: Seems so.
Pierce: Oh shi = ! Sorry! *bolts out*

yeah Horizon can be taken as a break up. As a matter of fact you can't really start a romance path until after Horizon so it makes it seem that way.
Um... what?
You start the romance path in ME1 bro.

@J DAWG; Depends on your Sheps attitude: If s/he's more about saving as many lives as possible: Then distraction team. If however s/he 's more of a make sure the mission doesn't fail whatever the cost( In this case: make sure the bomb goes of no matter what.) then go for protecting the bomb.
@hotdog; I had never considered that before. Hm, I should take a close look at her expressions the next time I get to virmire.
Problem with that view is that... you don't have to save the distraction team to "save the most lives". You save them by doing the little helpful things like disrupting communications and blowing up the flyers.
So, as always, I say... leave her with the bomb.

Technically, she never says "traitor" ... and she doesn't say she never wants to see you again. Everyone just uses this as an excuse for a "break up" or to allow them to bang the hot, new character.
A truly loyal Shepard would be trying to get Ashley back and DEFINITELY would not move on after receiving Ash's email. Relationships have rocky places... Horizon is one of them, you just gotta get through it. Hopefully it will be made up for in ME3.

I kind of thought making sure Saren had as small of an army as possible would have saved the most lives. Though if it came down to it I would have sent both to the tower and stayed with the bomb my self.xxSgt_Reed_24xx wrote...

Isn't that the point of the bomb? To destroy the cloning facility and thus his clone army?
Anyway, that's the main reason I go to the bomb. To ENSURE that it goes off and completes the mission. And since I want that to happen AND to keep my LI alive... Ash goes to the bomb.
