Ashley Williams...I saved her in one of my male Shepard playthroughs and is currently staying loyal to her in my final runthrough of ME2. Let's just say my Shepard will be "unsheathing his sword" on her again come Mass Effect 3 . I anticipate seeing what she looks like in armor whenever that gets to be shown (unless the current model is her wearing armor...I hope it isn't unless I'm missing something. I don't do much forum hopping these days so I'm playing catch up).

[Mr. Brainheart]

At night Shepard sneaked up to Ashleys room, despite Chakwas's request. He stood in the doorway when she suddenly noticed him.
Ashley: How- how dare you even show your face here! I thought you agreed to stay away.
Shepard: I- no, no. You need to...understand.
Ashley: I understand you've gone crazy. You put yourself above others, above everyone, that's what I understand!
Shepard: I need
Ashley: You want this, You need that...Cry me a river and drown in it.
Shepard: You.
Ashley: Is this about me Shepard? Are we even having the same conversation here?
Shepard: Whether you like it or not, me and my team were the ones who defeated Saren, took down Sovereign, freed human colonies from the clutches of the collectors and the delayed the arrival of the reapers more than once! Me and my team! Me and you, yes you. I need you, without you I couldn't have defeated Saren, if you hadn't pulled me through we would have been grounded on the citadel whilst the reapers poured in! My part in this fight isn't finished yet, I still have people to rally weaknesses in the reapes to find and lots of obstacles on the way. If I loose you we might aswell loose the universe with it. We are not prepared yet and our crew will keep doing everytthing it can to get prepared, whilst thousands of lazy asses do nothing, wasting time.
Ashley: I wish I could love you for this Shepard, but how can you just rationalize all those lost lives away?
Shepard: As you've seen I can't, i'm scarred beyond repair, but I'm trying and so should you. It's the only way to win this war, sacrifice, buying time to find a solution. When the time is right I won't have a problem to sacrifise myself.
Ashley: I don't need you to sacrifice yourself, dammit! We don't need it. I need...
Shepard: What?
Ashley: You.
Shepard: Do you know me again, Ash, can you know me again?
Ashley: I don't know Shepard, I honestly don't know.

Had to join in with all the sadness, I couldn't resist.

@Reed; what did you mean then? I don't follow.


@Zalem; The armour is yet to be shown  I'm excited to see it aswell, it's going to be a female version of what Kaidan is wearing, apparently. Oh and a Top of Page Ash (Pic) Plz

That's good to hear. I'm glad she isn't reduced to the total stripper suit nonsense Miranda was wearing in ME2. And why did I imagine Shepard and Ashley sitting on a bed with that slow dramatic romance music playing in the background while reading that conversation between the two characters? You should've went Jacob mode with Shepard there at the end Brainheart .

It's more of a logical follow-up on yours I'd say, since I mentioned chakwas request, and did imagine Shepard to be somewhat sane still, but it was inspired by both.

@Zalem; Going Jacob mode would have been a heavy risk...(Poor Jacob, it's probably the only line I've ever quoted from him, he really deserves better.)
I'm glad of the armour too, although I kinda like her other outfit too..hmm I'm torn.

It's great. Dunno if one of us should try to write a -real- fanfic dealing with that scenario. Maybe a contest? And nope, I have no idea yet, so it's not unfair *g*

Contest - "Sacrifice"

- Shepard and his team are on a mission
- Ashley gets wounded and Shepard saves her resulting in mission failure
- hundreds of thousands lives are lost because of failure
- Any species allowed
- Shepard has to explain why he did it
- Ashley won't accept his reasons
- conclusion -> whatever is in your mind *g*

Could be interesting for this topic ... or the Ashley group. Who wants to do this contest?

@Data; I'm not sure, I kinda feel like I've been neglecting my main fanfic for a little too long already (Shortage of time and inspirational problems.), For now I'll pass, I could change my mind though.

My Ash has a thing for Infiltrators ... she dates only Infiltrators. All day. Seriously *g*
Dunno why, but guess she just loves the perfect mix of deadly sniper and versatile hacker ... and flaming ninja goodness in ME2

My Shep's are either engineers or infiltrators... basically tech nerds and I like to think that Ash is always making fun of him being a nerd and how she can outshoot him, outfight him, etc or how he's a pretty good shot, for a nerd... but at the end of thd day he's her nerd.

Ashley: So ... Shepard, ready for that competition we talked about?
Shepard: Yeah, I think I've got you this time, I've been practicing! *turns away to grab his gun and smirks evily*
Ashley: I'll try to go easy on ya... nerd. *winks at him*
Shepard: Alright let's do this...

*20 hyper velocity rounds later, they go and check the targets.*
Ashley: What the hell? How did all my shots go off to the left!?!
Shepard: *teasing tone* Seems someone shoulda been practicing as well!
