The way my Shepard sees Tali is kinda like a little sister. He's protective of her and cares for her, same goes for Liara, but it's a lot different from how he feels about Ash.

He would never dream of taking things with Tali to the next level, risking her health in such a way for pleasure. Nothing is worth risking death. They had a mission, and that was the main focus. Besides he doesn't like sticking ...it...in places it doesn't belong lmao. On another note, he's learned from mixing lust and business. Things get blurry and difficult. My Shepard secretly swore never to let things get unprofessional with a crew-member again.

He'll most likely break that oath though, don't know. lol

If my Shep and Ash ever got married... they wouldn't. They'd probably just be life-partners. They'd get the marraige certificate and all, but there wouldn't be a ceremony.... to many people want Shepard's head for him to risk that kind of open ceremony.

True. I bet IF they're going to have some kind of wedding, they'd try to make it with as least as possible ppl. Maybe close friends, family, but nothing more. Lemme do the math:

Shepard: family (lets ignore any OCs) - that'll be mom!Shep and dad!Shep - 2 guys. No grandparents.
Ashley: family - 3 sisters, her mom (dad is dead )

Friends: Anderson, Garrus, Wrex, Jacob, Thane, maybe Mordin, Liara, Tali, maybe Miranda (not so likely).

Other: Gianna Parasini (maybe)

I'd say not more than 20 ppl including Shep & Ash - if at all.


I bet both hate being in the spotlight again. They just want to rest - for the rest of their lives. I'm fine with it.
Okay, both will do their Spectre-duty, but no one has to know they're married. Except close friends. Liara as the SB will feed her network with false intel so no one will ever find out that Ash & Shep are married.

Life partners sounds good and solid...For awhile. But believe it or not I think Ashley will eventually want to get married after spending so much time with Shepard. It's something that I can see happening in the far of future especially with her type of family. Lets be clear though, I don't want any marriage or babies in ME3.

Oh, I can totally see it being strictly private. Especially with all the sh*t Ashley gets from the public about her family and well, Shepard's not exactly loved either. Maybe that'll change after ME3, don't know. But yeah, only close friends and family - the people who matter. They'll probably be some Williams-y traditions 2 that'll need to be done.

Actually, I think Ash -wants- to marry Shepard - she's christian, isn't she? And she's a strong believer (for standards in 22nd century). So I guess she want to make things official, even if it's just between her and Shepard.

What I'd like to see as epilogue is the wedding itself or at least Shepard asking Ashley if she wants to marry him (or vice versa). The second option would be enough ... just show us both kissing after that question, then fade out to end credits.

Actually, this scene should be a reward for those ppl who just had ONE relationship in the ME series. Means - no cheating, no switching. Also I love to gain that "faithful achievment".

Actually we don'tknow whether she's a christian or not, all we really know is that she believes in a god (Does she say if she believes in an intervening god, because I'm not sure?) and heaven. And since we don't know much about the state of religion..I'm not sure. In any case it's likely that her religion is atleast derived from Christianity/Islam or something along those lines, but not all christians want to get married anymore these days, so I'm not sure if that'd factor in.

But how do you want to treat the epilogue I wonder? Because if not everyone wants a wedding, is that based on a choice you made in some convo inthe game? Well that might actually be interesting then.

Ashley would only want to marry Shepard if they've been together for like 5 - 15 years and have one hell of a sterdy relationship. I also, think marriage would be a HUGE deal to her and her family. It wouldn't be something took lightly just because Shepard wants it to happen. But if everything goes well for them and they eventually settle somewhere homey with a good view, Then I can defo see Ashley wanting it to be offical at some stage.

Ashley's gonna smack bang say "Slow the hell down." They're only finding their feet again in ME3 it's 2 soon for that sap.

I'd be happy enough if the romance ended with something like this.

Ashley: Sounds good. So... How about we take it day by day then? Week by week, month by month? Year by year?
Shepard: Decade by decade.

I think Ashley is either a roman catholic or protestant - if both main lines don't merge back into one. She could be a jew too, but then she's not active - she doesn't mention any "typical jewish" stuff. Must say, I'm speaking from experience, my ex-GF was a jew (weak believer), and that stuff appeared quite often, nearly daily.

It's a bit unlikely she's a moslem.

About wedding - hmm, lets say, it's one of the last scenes where Shepard can make a difference. He either can ask her or wait until she asks him. If he asks her, it depends on Shepard's past. When he was faithful from ME - ME3 she'll say "yes". If not, she'll simply tell she needs time to think about it.
If Shepard doesn't ask her, she will do later in that dialogue if Shepard was faithful from ME - ME3. He can answer "yes" or "no" or "I need time to think about".

In case he or she accepts, the game will end with them kissing. If someone answers "no", the game will end with Shepard alone. And if any of them says "need time to think about" the game shows Ashley and Shepard standing close each other, but with a light distance.

Something like that.

The way Ashey goes on I think she's christian. Maybe it's because she's a soldier, I don't know, but for some reason I feel it fits. Doesn't really matter, I doubt BioWare will bring it up again in ME3. Though I can see Ashley using god's name in vain a lot during some tragic scenes again. Like: "Dear god!" LOL or "Oh God!" Something like that, which it cool with me btw.

I'm sorry, I would reply to that Dialogue, but right now for some reason. I have this image in my head of Shepard with the ME3 Normandy crew standing idly by while he murders some corrupt Alliance/Cerberus agent. Dunno why.

edit: He's giving some badass boast about the Normandy being a monolith or something and patrotism... I dunno. But the scene is pretty badass sounding in my head.

Edit edit: I'd write it, but it's not shepley. Though it has Shepard and Ashley in it as main characters. And it's more a scene than a fiction.

It was him. Shepard looked at the person in front of him - it was him. The other Shepard looked like him, aged before his time, grey hairs, eyes that have seen the horror of death. The older Shepard was not surprised facing his younger self. "You took my life." he simply stated. "I'm not sure if I should take your life or mine to correct the mess we're both in."
The younger Shepard shook his head: "Cerberus brought me back. You're just ..:"
"... the original Shepard. The one they saved, took, reconstructed ... and dismissed. You're not even fully human. Don't ask me why they did."

Still looking for a good reason why Cerberus was constructing TWO Shepards.

Na. First one was send to the Minuteman station after he was reconstructed, ME2!Shepard remained with Miranda & co. Wilson knew it.
