I know right. I fhe could get surveilance on the damn Normandy to watch Jacob do sit ups he shold ahve had stuff on the VS. They could have took out Ji-lani getting abused by Aliens for my money.

Speaking of which I always wondered how the Shadow Broker got footage of Jacob on the Normandy. I could've sworn it was a top secret covert ship with the latest technology integrated into it. Most of the time the Normandy is on the move and all.

That was odd that he got bugs onto a stealth ship, but that's mostly to prove how knowlegable the SB is. but they STILL couldn't get a thing on the VS. fail broker.

The collectors scramble signals both radio and electronic communication, so it stands to reason that maybe the Collector attack on horizon managed to screw up what little survaliance of Ash he could get...
Besides, we don't want to turn Shepard into a cyber stalker, now do we?

Well he did have a Specter in his pocket.
TSB could have any number of ways of getting a bug on the ship, and it seems like he could piggy-back the signal every time they hook into the com net.

True, but Ashley's files were very classified, even TIM couldn't get into them. And I'm willing to bet that those two organisations are on par with each other in terms of Manpower and resources.

Ashley's location was only known when the Collectors Attacked horizon. And I gotta say, Mal was not happy... to put it mildly.

No dispute, I'm just guessing that since TSB has been around longer his network could be larger or more intricate.

True that.  The Shadow broker was the Keyser Soze of Mass Effect: the hidden hand that secretly moved all of the pieces.  He probably considered the VS a low priority, since he was more concerned with Liara's attacks on his network and saving himself from the coming destruction.

I always found it weird how he didn't just kill Liara earlier...  but that's off topic, so I'll ponder it.

Yeah, I can't wait to see Ash again...  The suspense is killing me

Shepard: The day after that was when I blew up the mass relay that wiped out that Batarian system. 

Ash: Damn, remind me never to get on your bad side.

Shepard: Once that happened, Kelly told me that I needed to find a 'more constructive' way to deal with my anger. That's why I have all of these models.

edit: Putting the pieces back together would be the key to defeating the reapers once and for all. And maybe a sympathy pat on the shoulder/head from Ash.
