Ashley: *delivers a right hook to his nose and breaks*
Shepard: ARGH! *cups nose in both hand as it bleeds severely* Gezzus Chr!st, You're killing me!
Ashley: That's for trying to cyberstalk me!
Shepard: F***ing hell, woman!

Chakwas: What did you do this time?
Shepard: *holding towel to his nose* Nothing! I swear, doc.
Chakwas: You're a horrible liar, Malcolm Shepard.
Shepard: I didn't do anything!
Chakwas: So Williams had been working out and you volunteered to be her punching bag?
Shepard: She just punched me square in the face. And worst of it all -
Chakwas: What's worst of all? Pull the towel away please.
Shepard: *pulls at his hoodie* She got this stained. Blood doesn't come out easily.
Chakwas: Be quiet, Major. Honestly, sometimes I wonder whether you're a military officer, or a Kaine's overgrown brat. *Cracks his nose back into place.*
Shepard: Argh! Could have warned me, Doc!
Chakwas: You'll be fine in a few days. Just don't touch it.
Shepard: Right...
*a few hours later, in Armory*
Ashley: Shepard. I uh I'm sorry. Lost my temper a bit.
Shepard: Trust me. My nose is infinately familiar with that.
Ashley: How is it?
Shepard: Terrible. I'll be scarred for life.
Ashley: Mal.
Shepard: Good as new in a few days.
Ashley: Right. Sorry again.
Shepard: Don't be *hands her a datapad.*
Ashley: What's this? *reads, her expression turns from curiosity to horror as she goes on.* You - You wouldn't.
Shepard: I would and did.
Ashley: b-b-but! I punched you once.
Shepard: How sweet revenge is.
Ashley: I get the whole eye-for-an-eye thing, but this is downright cruelty!
Shepard: *biggest ****-eating expression he could muster* I'll look foward to seeing how well you clean up, Lieutenant.
Ashley: *gapping helplessly as he walks out. Datapad reads: Undercover assignment. Investigating fashion business for drug trafficing. She looks down at it.* That's just cruel... Well played, Major. Well played.

I read a fanfiction writer's theory. Harbinger - controlling a Collector - damn near ordered Ash to escape after realising who she was and what value she had to Shepard as a way to demoralize him.... or something like that.
I have to be honest, I hate the entire traitor idea, that's been done already, Saren was the big traitor of ME1 and the redemption card has already been played with him. Indoctrinating your LI seems like such a cheap way to create an emotional scenario, because he or she has no choice in this, there is not enough conscious conflict within the character to make it interesting, the conflict is between holding on to your own thoughts and what the Reapers make you think. SO I really hope they don't go that easy route, for some drama. /rantCptData wrote...

Actually, I hate that idea. Too bad it's most likely one of those "more plausible" theories how Ash/Kaidan escaped - plus BW is still in need of a traitor.
My money is on Liara (funnily enough, "Liar" is already in her name), but Ashley / Kaidan could be traitors as well. In case any ME-LI is a traitor I hope BW created a way to redeem them and win them back. Bastilla anyone?

Trufax. However, afaik there is that traitor-rumor. And as I said before, my money is on "Liara" - at least a lot of stuff supports this theory. That doesn't mean Liara will become a traitor, but she's the most obvious choice if there is a traitor in ME3.Mr. Brainheart wrote...

Exactly.I hope Ashley will keep fighting the Reapers, alongside Shepard or not. I hope to see some change within her, perhaps influenced by the talks she'll have with Shepard. I'd like to see her change from fighting mainly for and with humanity, to fighting for and with the species in the galaxy. Something along those lines.
Ashley knows better than to duel wield. You can't aim for sh*t like that.Raanz wrote...
