 Well, after 4 months and 42 pages of pretty civil discussion the "Is Ashley still your girl?" thread for some reason got locked and suggested the discussion be moved here.  

So I guess I'll ask:  Did the confrontation on Horizon sour the romance between your Shepard and Ash?  Do you think she'll come to trust Shepard again?  Can your Shepard trust her?  Why did she go so ballistic to begin with?

I suspect I already know the answers I'll get, but serious questions here.  How do you think things will change between Ash and Shep?  Are you optimistic or pessimistic?

I think if you have her as your LI everything will be cool, but if she isn't she's not just going to forgive you right away. I base this on who she sends her apology email's to.

Anyway. I agree with you. If Ash starts up the relationship almost immediately after the exodus of earth, I would be more than a little disappointed but at this point, we don't know if she's visited you in prison or not. If she has visited you in prison and you've explained your actions to her and your reasons+how much of a b!tch fate as been, then I see the relationship starting up as early as 1/4 way through the game (not including side-quests). If Shepard hasn't had her visiting him and as to explain his actions on the Normandy, I believe maybe about 1/2 - 2/3 through the game, they'll resume their relationship... There has to be consequence to how early or late you start it though.... Maybe a 'save Ash, or save this location' quest would be available during the game and depending on how early or late it is in the game depends on how strategically valuable the objective is.

I wonder, if Ash is involved in the investigation, and the Alliance has the Normandy, if Ash might have access to records of the activities that took place during ME2. Copies of Miranda's reports to the Illusive Man and such.  If so, maybe that will affect her reactions.  How far over to the "dark side" did Shep go?

Another question, how will Ash react to the events of Arrival?

It's not an impossibility, but Ash may have some... problems (to put it lightly) with Shepard's actions, though she would understand if she saw the message from Hackett (it was recorded in Shepard's personal messages. And the Alliance would probably sift through them looking for evidence against Shepard, to prove his criminal actions and mental state is down the crapper).

I'm assuming you haven't seen this one? It's the latter half of ME3's prologue mission. You can see Ashley towards the end. We do indeed get her from the get-go.

I for one can't stand Udina as the councilor since he cares more about politics than results. Though if you do pick him at the end of ME1 his speech is pretty fiery about defeating the Reapers (only to backslide like hell two years later) If anything two of My Shepard's would take his seat for themselves and still fighton the front lines and name the VS their successor should they die in battle, and then Miranda if they and the VS die together and Jacob if Tehy, the VS, and Miranda die snice Jacob hates petty politics. XD /crackpot

also I was serious about wanting someone to draw Ashley in her quarters with teh Spectre Logo over everything.

I hope he's not an "ash kisser" since if he kisses Ash I'll make sure she's the last thing he kissed in his life


About Horizon: lets say that most ppl who had Ash / Kaidan as LI in ME1 are more forgiving than others. Not every ME-fan is having more than 2 or 3 playthroughs and not everyone tries every possible LI. Pick me - I'm an Ashley-only guy. I love her character and totally understand her reaction on Horizon - especially since Mr. Suave failed epically to tell her the truth ...
