Something like that. Funny fact: my canon!Shep is spacer.

I exaggerate, but I don't approach gaming the same way as I approach books, for example, not saying that there is anything wrong with doing so, for me it's just a form of light entertainment and the chance to be silly from time to time. That doesn't mean I don't appreciate a good and serious story as the raw material, quite the contrary, but especially Mass Effect offers you the chance to write the story partially yourself and differently every time, but there are limits. To get over 30 unique Shepards, I just had to enhance the experience with the help of my imagination, nothing major, but only small details, like why a certain Shepard does things.
You can play a mean Paragon for example, he is always nice and does always the right things, but his sole motivation to do so, is to be admired for his knightly behaviour, but rather selfish and self-involved in the core, so his facade only crumbles a bit, when people don't approach him with the respect he thinks, he deserves. It doesn't really distinguish him from an honest Paragon Shepard strictly in-game (choices, dialogue, etc.), but it changes the way, I view the character completely, allowing for a whole new experience. It's also the reason, why I don't have as much a problem with the flaws of the games, I just fix them on the fly.

Excuse my rambling, but I take my silliness rather seriously, or do I? ;-)

That's part of why I love Ashley so much - hurray for being on-topic again - she displays just the right amount of loveable silliness.

-Off topic-
I understand what you mean now, if I had over 30 Shepards, I too would use my imagination a lot more, just to keep things fresh and it is interesting to work your imagination within the game's confines. I do too imagine lots of silliness around it though!

And I concur, gaming is, for me aswell, not a place too find many games with a deep plot and enthralling-artistic story and atmosphere, etc., mostly because therethere aren't many of those games in my opinion, I hope that'll change though.

Anyway back on topic! Ashley-ashley; My first attempt at a batgirl-Ashley sadly failed, maybe there will be a round two sometime, in which, I'll hopefully prevail!

and elek, that's what you mean by Ashley's silly side ! The silliness made me snigger.
Also these lyrics made me think of what Ashley would think after Horizon and just before their reunion in ME3, when she has learned Shepard was still fighting for the good cause an still cared for her a lot.

I dont know if you could consider it Ash related as it's her voice actress but I guess it is in a way

I seriously hope Bioware continue to give Kim roles in their games after ME3, she's been around since Kotor and I would love to continue to hear her in their games!

The site I got the image from must have listed the other Kimberly Brooks then, silly Starpulse, they've got several pictures and all of them are of the women I posted, yet they've got the work from the Kim who did Mass effect on there, not her videogame work, but Batman: The mystery of the Batwomen and all her cartoon work.

Anyway, the site I listed is Kim's official website. There's some comercials on there and what not that made me lol. Hearing the voice of Ash promoting coffee, so that's what Ash was doing in the past two years! She got into advertisment

It's becuase we've spent so much time with the character, we now identify the voice with the character, it's her voice. It shows what a great job the writers and Kim did with bringing the character alive, Merle Dandridge has the same thing, her voice will pretty much be known by most people as Alyx Vance.

@Funkcase; Yeah, in a way it's a testament to the great writing and voice acting, I wonder if she's ever been pointed here, to an Ashley support thread, I hope she's aware of the fandom as much as (or more then)the 'haters' of the character.

@Aurora; Ofcourse!, I believe Urus had a request, a few pages back.
