This is how I invision her thought/emotional processes in the prologue mission.
When she first saw him and Kaidan on Eden Prime - There an automatic respect for their ranks and the N7 stripe on Shepard's armor. Cause I love N7s, they're literally the top badasses of the Military. Confused as to why they are here, but aren't looking the gift Marines in the mouth.
When confronted with the thieving Dock Worker - A little bitter cause she wanted payback and he ordered her not to.
When the beacon mind-raped Shepard - Concerned for the Commander and the guy who saved her life about 5 times now (the uber geth bombs and that), and immediately went to the aid of a superior officer.
On the Normandy while he was in sickbay - Concerned, guilty and waiting eagerly to see if he would wake, and not forgiving herself if someone of 'higher value' to the military died in her place.
When out of sick bay - Grateful for the Welcome onto the Normandy, somber was it was, the vote of confidence and the confiding advice he had given her. Relieved that he didn't blame her curiosity for dumping him in a 15 hour coma.
