edit: Oh, fist fight. Well, I hate to say it, Tex would most likely win, she would not tire and she has a tonne of power behind her attacks. But Ash has speed and agility on her side.

Hmm, actually, that makes me sad :-(
I hate it when someone important dies, but if that somebody gets erased it's even worse :-(
But I went all 'Lazarus Project' on Gabriel and brought him backYay!
In truth, I liked Gabriel more than Roxanna when it came to the Mass Effect universe, seems more plausible to me for Shepard to have a son to take care of than a sister that does the same exact thing he does... Also, I wanted to spare the 'awkard love-square' as Ash put it. Shepard already has enough crap, he doesn't want to deal with an Ash-Rox rival bro-mance.
It's your character and your decision. I actually like Pierce and the "awkward love-square" (isn't it more a triangle
Also I wonder if Ash & Rox ever get in touch on more friendly terms. They can't fight over Shepard forever, especially since there's nothing to fight for: Shepard loves Ashley.

Then when I made my Shepard a Spacer, I stopped using the son as a character. The way I'm splicing it in is that the son was from my Spacer Shepard's late Fiancee now and he was with his grandparents on Arcturus when the blitz hit.
Edit: I'll see if I can find some dialogues I wrote.

The son's name was Gabriel. He originally belonged to my Earthborn Shepard from his days as a streetrat and being a warhero, he negotiated with Hackett to have the kid dumped into the Ascension project (Gabs = Biotic).

Yeah, I figured that out on my own. However, I'm not a big fan of "extras" ... call me shallow, but I go for the traditional family. Pathwork isn't my stuff
Whatever - I'm looking forward for your "new old" character. He can be fun too - I'll miss Roxy. She's my fav OC so far ^^

He said he's fighting for all of us, for his friends, for the galaxy. I think the galaxy owes more than just a squeeze. The galaxy owes everything once this is over. Turians, Asari, even Batarians. They all owe Shepard more than I can imagine. It's not money and no power - John isn't a greedy person and he hates politics. But he definitely deserves something. Can't point my finger at it, but he's on a quest. Maybe he doesn't even know what he's looking for. I hope he'll find it.
- Ashley Williams' thoughts about restless Shepard who's stressing himself far beyond natural bounds.

The pressure! Everyone is expecting me saving the galaxy. I'm just one man. One. Yes, I have a team, but even my team is expecting me leading them to victory. None of them knows I lost faith already. We needed three full fleets to take down Sovereign. I doubt we've got the firepower to stop an entire fleet of Reapers. We might destroy some of them, but not all. They can not be stopped. Not now. Not with what we have. Maybe there is something we can use against them, but I have no idea yet. Everyone is expecting that I can find this something. But I have no idea where to start.
Ashley ... now I need you more than ever before ... where are you?

Shepard: ....
Ashley: Malcolm?
Shepard: ...
Ashley: Earth to Shepard?
Shepard: Hmm, Pardon?
Ashley: You haven't been listening to a word I've said haven't you?
Shepard: Sorry, Ash. I'm a bit lost in thought at the moment.
Ashley: Good kind of lost in thought, or bad?
Shepard: I don't know yet.
Ashley: 'Don't know yet'? What do you mean? What are you thinking about?
Shepard: I just seem a little bit lost at the moment. Like there's something nagging at me and I don't know how to stop it.
Ashley: Nagging, how?
Shepard: Well, the general behavour of a few people today, including myself.
Ashley: Maybe it's something in the air.
EDI: On the contrary, Lieutenant Williams, I detect no pathogens in the atmosphere.
Shepard: Thank you EDI, but no. It's just that I can't help but think something is missing. Take today. This morning, I found myself wondering the crew deck looking for... something and I found myself in the crew quarters, where I found Vega staring at the spare bunk looking as lost as I was.
Ashley: Now that you mention it, yea. I went into the armory today, a book of Shakespeare poetry in hand and I felt like I was getting ready for a really indepth conversation but when I got there, there was nothing but the weapons.
Shepard: That can't be a conincidence.
Ashley: I found a rifle on the table, the registration number hadn't been listed in the ships logs and get this, whomever left it there painted wing-like decals on the scope. First time I ever saw the rifle, but I couldn't help but feel-
Shepard: like something was missing?
Ashley: Or someone. That I cared a great deal about. Doesn't feel the same as when I lost you, but it's not a good feeling.
Shepard: Something is going on here. It's not just me, you or James. Garrus and the others feel like something isn't right.
Ashley: Warrents investigation.
Shepard: You bet your ass it does...

Oh Tex and Ashley really not a far fight Tex being an virtual machine and Spartan. Now lets say lets say Ashley vs Dinah Lance(Black Carnary) is more of equal footing for a fist fight both I would not want to see in a dark alley or in Bar fight. I like my jaw and other bones where they are thank you very much.

Ashley sat down in the farthest seat away from the squad of Black armor-clad N7 marines, her rifle collapsed and resting across her lap. The bulkiest of the bunch sat down a seat away, fiddling with the emergency seals on his helmet before taking it off, revealing his alabaster skin and square jawline. He turned his head to her,
"You ok, Commander?" He asked, Ashley nodded slowly, her hand absently stroking the data core she had just retrieved for the sake of her mission. "It'll be alright."
"Can you give me one good reason why I shouldn't arrest you?" The leader, a Major based on the markings on his armour. Ash noticed the obviously prosthetic left arm that absently hung off the weapons stow above their heads. The thin glass visor of his helmet blocked any view to his eyes, but the tone of voice was more than enough to tell this Major was pissed off at her.
"I am Lieutenant Commander Ashley Williams of the Halcyon Confederate. I have clearance to be here -"
"Which is not unlimited. And not without Authorisation from at least two Admirals." The Major answered back, his over tone carried a stark professionalism despite the frustration and anger he seemed to be radiating.
"Listen Major, I don't want to talk about this." Ash abruptly cut him off, swapping her rifle for the data core, checking to see if it was still in an acceptable condition.
"Well, I do want to talk about it." The Major retorted, causing Ash to roll her eyes but continued working never the less. "Did it occur to you that maybe my men and I would have volunteered to risk our lives had the option been presented?"
Ash put the core aside shooting up from her seat aggressively. "No one asked you to save me!"
The Major groaned and Ash could tell he was rolling his eyes, growling to himself in annoyance. "I don't believe this. You have not changed a bit!"
Ashley backed down slightly, her anger fading into caution. "John."
The Major broke the seal on his suit helmet and pulled it off, revealing the face of John Shepard. Albeit with a few more scars than Ash remembered. "Yea." He answered with cool sarcasm, setting himself down. "Nice to see you too."

Just while preparing dinner I had an idea ... lemme give you some lines.
Two years. Two years had passed since the last of the Reapers had been destroyed. Two long years since the Normandy SR2 got almost destroyed in battle. The ship made it but was damaged beyond any repairs. And after the war Shepard had vanished. No one knew where he went, not even his fellow Spectre, Ashley Williams.
Until now.
Shepard appeared right out of nowhere, with a new ship. It was a frigate of unknown origin but looked familiar. Like the SR2, just a bit sleeker, darker, far more dangerous. The ship approached Arcturus Station without opening any channels, it only send a short message: "I'm back. Shepard." And the one waiting most for his return, went to docking bay.
One of the dockmasters told her to stop: "You shouldn't be in the bay while the ship is docking. Oh ..." he looked at her, recognizing who she was, "you'll be surprised. I promise."
"Why? It's Shepard - and he's back. There's nothing more surprising than that" she answered.
"Then you should read the ship's name, Commander Williams."
It was clearly his humor: the ship's name was "CSV Williams SR3".
(Uhhm ... you know about great ideas that turn out less great when you're done? I feel as if this idea is one of those ...)

SSV Williams? The ships in the alliance are named for historic battles in human history. (gettysburg, Normandy, etc)
True. Any idea what civilian ships use instead of SSV? CSV?
Whatever, Shepard named his new ship after his lover. Either it's because of his unique sense of humor or he's a bit sentimental. I just like the idea - although it's not my "best idea" today.
