That's a fine Ash. DAT Ash. And she does not look like Miranda 2.0. She looks like Ash. An even more hot Ash (and she's already hot in ME). Did I mention she's hot? Also I like the idea she's LT. Commander. If there's anyone deserving a promotion, then it's Ash (or Kaidan if he's the VS). I love it. I simply love it.

Shepard: We still have a problem, Ash ... I lack a XO. My last one is currently not available ... so, do you have someone in your mind?
Ashley: No, Sir.
Shepard: Good thing I know who it'll be. EDI, Williams will be new XO.
EDI: Executive officer commanding proecedures transferred.
Ashley: Like good ol' times?
Shepard: Like good ol' times. I miss the old gang - Pressly, Adams, Alenko ... I know they'll be with us, still I miss their faces.
Ashley: We'll win the war for them.

Still, I don't think the one who found the leak made a good thing by posting it in the internet. I prefer when devs make releases, otherwise it seems like thievery for me.

On the other side devs rarely show how they made the game and such pre-render cinematics and beta-versions are great things for ones who... want to keep finger on the pulse

Well, we were promised that romance would continue throughout an entire trilogy .. ME2 was a break of that promise (2minutes cutscene is just not enough) .. It was yesterday when I wanted to complain here on a lack of news .. cause news vids were shoving everyone else except Ashley/Kaidan .. Well in the end my nerves got a better of me .. and I went to bed .. Today I woke up .. DAMN, I missed everything while it was hot here but still I'm all this --->

I just hope that we "VS" fans won't get a short stick latter in the game like we did the last time .. so far it really does look good ..

Hehe indeed.

I hope the romances will play a bigger role in ME3 than they did in ME2. ME3!romances should have at least the same impact as they had in ME - including "catfight" if you're a bad!Shepard ^^

And yes, that means some Ashley/Kaidan goodness for us. Some HUGE goodness.

But I just have to ask this: does anyone else think those white parts of her outfit make her look as if she wore thigh-high boots over long white stockings or tights? This impression has bothered me since my first look at her new outfit, and I'm...adversely affected by seeing it confirmed.

Yeah, we had that discussion before. I think I said it's impractical for armor, but if it's just her "normal" off duty gown, it's okay. However, she looks great and, I think you'll concur, she doesn't look like a mirandafied Ashley. She still has her very own style.

Well she did promise those thigh high boots and a mini skirt,  so maybe they've had dinner.

But indeed, it's casual wear with a bit of armour, maybe just in case. Since she has real armour I can't be bothered by it.

It would be awesome if we could have (candle lit?) dinner with her, maybe as a reminder of what they're fighting for, and intergrate it with the romance scene. I'm not sure if they'd feel like having a good old-fashioned dinner in the middle of an invasion though , atleast I want to be able to make a reference to it.

No Miranda fan and no Ashley fan would ever think they look alike. They both have very characteristic faces after all, and I always found Ashley quite beautiful. That was never the concern. The problem we had - and still have - is that their faces look similar enough to a superficial first glance to indicate that Bioware isn't concerned about them being mistaken for each other at first glance by new players, that in turn indicating that there might be only one dark-haired, fair-skinned human female as a key character in ME3. Which would be very bad for us Miranda fans of course. This concern has not been alleviated.

BTW, is my impression correct that Ashley has a lighter skin tone than in ME1?

I need help with this (and, of course, with my crappy English). When Shepard and Anderson run to Normandy: Anderson asks through radio "Lieutenant Commander? Do you read me? I'm patching in Shepard" and Ashley responds "We're almost at the Normandy", what she says next (13:05 at mediafire vid)? Because I persist to hear "I've got Lieutenant Alenko with me", which has little sense. Just want to understand how many Alenkos exist in game and what are their ranks.

And yes, Ashley is surprisingly pale. I've tried to evaluate Vega's skin tone by comparing him to Ashley (pic where they stand next each other) and got rather surprised.
