Indeed I hope it does! I will just make several characters named Ash and pretend I'm playing ME3 on a misson that has Ash stranded on a planet with dragons, magic and no modern tech...Maybe not but it actually does sound like a fun idea now

So, I remember a few months back whe it was thought ashley had just been promoted to Lieutanant that everyone was wondering if she was leaderhsip material, but now that she's actually a Lieutenant Commander, is anyone having reservations aout her possible skills as a Leader?

No. She's had experience as a squad leader before and to my knowlegde, was leader of her company in the 212. ... Wow. That seems like a while back now. The 212... O.O

Anyway. I have no doubts about her command groundside, but a Starship is different. Shepard has had more experience commanding ships than Ash has. Well, counsidering she's be an Lt Cmdr for at most a few months, where as Shepard has had years of experience.

Thanks. I like the Dark Side lol. Aww, you're Shepard's a nice guy. He was willing to hand over the Normandy! It's inspired me to do a few paragon one shots.

I gotta tell you, Culture he didn't sound like he was 'willing' to hand his ship over at all. He has a go at Anderson for losing it then Anderson pretty much says 'if it weren't for me you'd be in jail, so STFU'.

Well, we found out Anderson wasn't alling Ashley Lieutenant, but Lieutenant COMMANDER. Ashley's now "Commander Williams"

Not in the slightest, I remember the pre-ME1 promotional stuff that was released about Ash, with people praising her leadership capabilites. Plus how she worked great with the Salarians on Virmire and the fact she always notices great strategic positions ''These staircases aren't just for show, I bet they make for good defensive cover for if this place is ever under attack''. Ash is a born leader and fighter, with her new rank I'm sure her Dad and Grandad would be very proud.

Oh, I meant in Cpt.'s one shot dialouge. Cpt.'s Shep would have been okay with letting Ashley command the Normandy. My Renegade Shep wasn't having it. But yeah, I have a feeling that the auto-dialouge was placeholder. Sounded too hostile for a paragon Shepard. I could be wrong though. Maybe Shep has had enough with slow acting governments and is just letting the punches fly.

Oh did it? I didn't get into the franchise until ME2 came out. Good good. I hope there's a mission where Shepard is dropped off ground side and Ashley's captaining the ship in a space battle and they get to meet up after they've both won their respctive fights.

I think she excels at whatever it is she does, leadership is no different.  She's a woman with focus and an almost obessive sense of drive probably to the detriment of most personal relationships besides family.  I think it has always been this way.  I don't see that changing.  Ash is....efficient.   But in ME1 she lacked the seasoned experience to "lead" in a way that most "leaders" would.   I feel like this series of events has hurled her into a succession of promotions partly because the ones making the decisions thought "oh yes she would be good for this" and partly because "she's our most prominent human hero right now since Shepard died."  

It's not a responsiblity I think she is incapable of or even bad at.  But it is one by which she is probably a little uncomfortable in a way both because of her survivors' guilt and her ambition.

Actually there still is Shield. If they were under someone else's commander, then they would need permission from their CO to start a relationship. But since one of them is the 'captain' of the ship, and the other is in his chain of command, they are not allowed to peersue a relationship. My parents were in the Navy, and they said that if they were both in the same chain of command, it's not allowed, but if they were on different chains of command, then yes, they could.

Ashley: "So."
Shepard: "So does she want to see you in the Med Bay after we get back on board the Normandy?"
Ashley: *chuckles* "Okay, no."
Shepard: "Nope. See that right there is a bad sign. Means she's singling me out already. You know the state of my psychological profile has been the running gag the last few days."
Ashley: *Jokingly* "Aww don't worry sweetie, she probably wants to extend a hand and let you know that she's there to help you relieve the stress of becoming the galaxy's greatest gas station attendent."
Shepard: *laughs*"Hey, it's not my fault the shuttle ran out of fuel on the ride down. That's cute."
Ashley: "What? Suddenly teasing is out of the question?"
Shepard: "Oh no, tease away you little hussy. But, you do raise an interesting point that I think we should talk about now we're back together and aboard an Alliance vessel."
Ashley: "Talk about what exactly?"
Shepard: "Well, our mutual wants and needs of course."
Ashley: "Did you actually just say that out loud?"
Shepard: "Well like I said, we're a couple now Ash and as a couple I think there's a couple of things we need to discuss."
Ashley: "Such as?"
Shepard: "Kissing in public."
Ashley: *wrinkles nose* "Maybe."
Shepard: "Maybe?"
Ashley: "Well...if it's of the spontaneous variety."
Shepard: "Is there any other way? Good lord woman you're a fickle mistress. I mean without kissing what do we really have left?"
Ashley: "Precious little. We should probably break up."
Shepard: "Yeah well, we had a good run didn't we."
Ashley: *kisses shepard*

I am super excited to see Ashley and Shepard in those photos! That is all I thought about at work until I could get home and explore these pages more in detail! I saw the video. Ashley seemed REALLY happy to see Shepard. He didn't seem grumpy at all from what I saw.  Ashley checking out Commander Shepard... anyone else think she checked out his ass and has a huge smile underneath... and that she's really ENJOYING the view.

Shepard: You have to trust someone to be betrayed. I never did. *long pause* I'm working my way back to you. Joker, Vega, You listening in?
Joker: Loud and clear.
Vega: I can have the team prepped and ready for counter strike, Major!
Shepard: Negative on counterstrike, I repeat. Negative on countestrike.
Ashley: What the hell are you thinking? Jinx was your friend and Pierce-!
Shepard: I'm thinking I value my life enough not to perform a suicide run. We can't avenge anyone if we're dead.
Vega: Then what are your orders, sir?
Shepard: Send the shuttle to pick us up at this location and be -*snipershot* UGH!!
Ashley: Shepard!!
Vega: What's happened?!
Ashley: Send a medic on the shuttle, Shepard is hit. His arm is - oh god, where's his arm?!
Shepard: *in pain* Clamp it down, Marine. We have Cerberus troops advancing on our position!
Ashley: Lieutenant. Send the shuttle now!!
