I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed by the small reunion in the demo beta(yes, I know it's a beta, and as such is subject to change, blah, blah, blah). But still, quite a few of my Shepards are still just a little bitter towards Ash. i just think an opprotunity should be there for Shepard to rect a bit more stoic and vindictive.
 I.E:
Shepard: Ash. 
as opposed to:
Shepard: Ash!

I love Ash, don't get me wrong. She's a great character, and I don't think Bioware's just going to "let bygones be bygones" when it comes to Shep's relationship with the VS, romanced or not. And I think their first meeting would be a great opprotunity for some of my more pissed-off Shepards to just to let her squirm a bit. But I'm guessing we'll only get that dialogue once  on board the Normandy, which is where the demo cuts off, dammit!

He's also getting rushed into the meeting in addition to not romancing her. no need to be worried.

Doesn't matter for some of my Sheps. They're still pissed.

But I'm watching the demo again, and I keep noticing more and more places where Shepard isn't given any choices in the conversation, leading me to believe that the beta is even more unfinished than I thought. Plus, so many of the side characters are voiced very 'placecharacter'-like.

I think I'll just like the beta for what it is: Something to hold me over until January. This has been a great weekend for all Bioware fans who don't care that much about intro spoilers.

well in unromanced PT's everoyne a "best friend" and for the vS they really havne't spoken to shepard in 3 years besides horizon. it's november and the final product isn't coming out until March adn there's trhee modes to play the game in. It's gonna be awesme and Ashley will be by our sides through it all.

This is speculation.  The scene works either way, whether she was romanced or not.  Don't say something is something when there is no confirmation please.

Also they never said Ashley would be a permanent squaddie AND there is no word on whether the gameplay modes are something permanent or just something they put out there for the private beta.  The latter seems likely.

It does work, and I'm happy, but every single demo and default PT has no romance. It's default Mshep so Ashley is saved and for the default femshep demo Kaidan will be saved with MAJOR ALENKO (*squee*) will be in it.

Default shepard has no romance and you played as default shepard in the demo/beta.

Welcome to camp.  Singalongs are around the fire every night.  We have marshmallows and thermal clips.

I think she's supposed to stand out.  So does Vega.  Exactly what do you think was so stupid you had to underline it?  Her outfit?  Really?  It's the same outfit they've revealed months ago and it's perfectly practical for her casual wear.  Don't forget she has armor, but we haven't seen it.  Why would we have in the scene we saw? 

Aurora chill out please.  Just because someone expresses an opinon doesn't make them a troll.  I thought we learned this.

It is a demo after all, there will be more option's to change here apperance when the final game come's out

It's totally cool.  As an Ash fan since WAY back in the day I've done my fair share of flame warring.  Eventually you can tell the real trolls from the people who are just....misguided.  Hehehe

And you are cruel! With the Pyjak scene! That was cruel! Poor Ash. Though she and Shepard got fairly close in that. So it balances out nicely.

I'm working on the next chapter now!  Thank you for asking.    It should be up soon.  I'm sorry.  I've been crazy busy with Save Game stuff as well as that pesky day job thing.  

But it's nearly ready.  This one is a hard one though.... because its Virmire.....
