I love how while literally everyone you meet is ready to die for you, only the VS seems to **** and moan about it. You know what? If Bioware let's me, I will happily shoot them.

I mean in Mass Effect 2 Tali's entire species is at stake during the Loyalty confrontation and STILL she helps you regardless of loyalty. Conversely, the VS chews you for being dead.

Well, this is certainly a spirit damper. But still I maintain that no matter how much crap Ashley has been made to do by Bioware, she's still my #1 girl in Mass Effect and even with all those trust issues and damaging moments, I will still romance her no matter how difficult it is.

Plus even with all the unfortunate things that have happened and may happen in the future, Horizon, the new design, the things that may happen in Mass Effect 3 I want to remind you all that we will always have the night before Illos and the rest of the relationship in Mass Effect 1.
Nothing can change that and no one can take that away from us. Ashley will always be that sassy strong, passionate and brave woman who I met on Eden Prime.
Nothing will change that for me, and no one can take that away from me.

I've posted it a few times already but to reiterate:
Ladies and Gentlemen, here is Frank Sinatra and Natalie Cole singing 'they can't take that away from me' which will forever summarize my feelings for Ashley Williams and the experience of Mass Effect 1 in general:

WOW ALRIGHT THAT WAS KIND OF A SPOILER I TYPED.

Okay I no longer want any talk about the spoilers so here is Ashley on a piece of cake:

Okay for a new totally spoiler free discussion, Ashley's favorite meal/dessert.

Go!

EDIT: Also Brainheart, very nice. I was going to use that picture myself but I decided this one was more delightfully random.

Or both, but seriously I had expected that no matter how messed up everything else, Shepard and Ash would still get 'round two' on that personal training thing.
Doesn't really suprise me.;)

We need more of this in the game. Hot passionate love! Real affection! Not that Disney crap they give us now!!
But instead Bioware's like, "NOPE! John betrays you and renegade interupt to shoot him dead!"

Lets say the VS is playing a major role in ME3 and got there because of plot armor. Tali could die in ME2.

Whatever is going to happen to the VS in ME3, whatever we'll see, whatever drama we have to go through - either BW really hates the VS OR they want to make that LI extra challenging and therefore, more rewarding. After all, next to Liara Kaidan and Ashley are "primary LIs" with far more development than any ME2!LI. If BW considers VS!LI as "primary LI", they'll do everything to keep you interested in getting Ash or Kaidan back. It wouldn't be half as interesting if you could get in her or his pants from the beginning because you had that LI in ME1 already. No, I want that challenge. Posted Image

Remember the time Juliet stabs Romeo and he just gets horny because betrayal is so hot
There is playing hard to get and actively attempting to thwart the hero as if you are a villain
I dount Bioware wants to make the LI extra challenging and you sound like Bella Swan talking about Edward Cullen. There is no challenge in loving a charecter that is acting against you or is distrustful.

Don't mention the "cursed couple" in this thread, Confused-Shepard *g*

No. I just think this one is "extra challenging". Maybe Liara is challenging as well, we don't know yet / whatever. I stick with my theory "ME!LI = primary LI = more challenging LI". Mostly because ME2!LI are triggered by loyality missions and kinda come out of nowhere without any deeper development. At least that's how I see them. ME2!fans won't concur here, especially if they missed ME, but that's how I see it.

I'm not a regular here, so I'm curious about you guys' consensus. Do you like Ash's new look in ME3?

From the leaked demo in particular, she appears thinner. Her neck is thinner and her cheeks more hollow. Perhaps she's been overworked. Perhaps she's been through something worse - how else did she earn her promotion?

Liara is way too devoted on the other hand. Like uber loyal. You could become pure evil, you could turn yourself into a Reaper and she would follow you just the same. I don't know wether that is love or unhealthy obsession.

The endgame romance scene should be dependant on the charecter

Tali = Cyberspace sex with the entire Geth mainframe watching
Ashely = On the husk of a dead Reaper
Jack = Zero gravity sex inside a falling spaceship

Alternate take on 'Goldbricking conversation'.

Ashley: Good lord! You went to the Macapa bootcamp too?
Shepard: Did he still have that little lipferret?
Ashley: No, he didn't. Though his profile picture still had it.
Shepard: *rolls his eyes with a laugh* Ah - poor gunny.
Ashley: Now that you mention it, he chewed out Tracey, one of my squadmates about lip ferrets. Why do I sense you have something to do with that.
Shepard: *chuckling* Sort of, not really. Not me, specifically, but a mate of mine.
Ashley: So the Commander has a backstory, do tell.
Shepard: There's a civi sector near Macapa, a bar there - Dark Edge or something like that. I used to sneak out with two other classmates, Nate Jinx and Cam Pierce, to meet my former girlfriend.
Ashley: 'Cam', you mean LT Pierce's brother?
Shepard: Her name is Cameron Rox Pierce, she used to go by her first but changed. Anyway, Pierce'd pick the locks and Jinx'd scott for patrols. Our outtings weren't exactly authorised. And neither was the relationship. I wasn't even an NCO and she was already a commisioned officer.
Ashley: So what happened?
Shepard: When we found the gunny in the bar, completely by accident, We thought we were screwed! Turns out he didn't even recognise us, he was so blind drunk that he fell on the floor and out cold. So we try to help him or revive him, or at least Rox and I tried and Jinx has this brilliant idea.
Ashley: Oh god, I don't think I'm going to like this next part.
Shepard: Maybe maybe not. The next morning, he's lip ferret is gone and he's absolutely furious, deadset outraged. He calls everyone together in the unit, immediately singles Jinx out and the bastard has the thing glued to his face!
Ashley: You're kidding me? Haha!
Shepard: Staring the old man down with his own mustache!
Ashley: That's horrible skipper! I wouldn't have thought you the type to do something like that. So what happened afterwards?
Shepard: One thing you'll learn about me, Ash? I am a devious bastard. Back to the story, Jinx, Rox and I called to the gunny's office with some Admiral, Fitz-Gibbon I think his name was. And being the dutiful, honest kids we were, we told the Fitz about how a couple of kids, barely even marines, were able to sneak out and back without anyone noticing.
Gunny got pissed and the Admiral tossed us in lockdown for about two months. Next thing we know, he ships us off to Arcturus for the N7 training.
Ashley: Oh my god, Shepard. That's horrible! You are a horrible man. Hehaha!
Shepard: Ah, I know. Hah. Hell of a fun way to get into the N7s though.

That's the main reason why I don't go after Liara. She's too easy to get - and that's not what I am looking for. I want at least some kind of challenge. I want to fight for my LI, that's it.

That's why I go after Ashley. You need to go through her tough outside, find that soft spot - and go even further. I'm not surprised that we'll have to go through her tough outside once more, but that's okay for me.

Aurora that dialog is way too cheerful for me at the moment. Can we have something depressing? It fits my mood. A dying scene would work.

(Lol) I'm taking this hard.

That's pretty sadistic, someone doesn't kiss your ass for a change so you want them dead? There's something wrong with that.

And the only thing they're angry about is that Shepard is working fo Terrorists, and they were shocked to see Shepard alive, I mean nobody else seemed in the slightest bit shocked that a dead guy was talking to them, so excuse me if I say the VS were the only one's who actually had a realistic response.

It wasn't that the VS dont want to help (They're are in ME3, and are in ME1, they also reported Shepards story back to the Council and confirmed Shepards story, so they were helping in ME2 in a tiny way) I also guess you didn't play ME1, I didn't hear anyone else volunteer to sacrifice themselves for the mission on Virmire knowing no matter what they're going to die.

I do like it, I didn't think I would when I first heard about it but when I saw it I thought she looked fantastic, I'm glad we're getting a armour and helmet for her too though, the best of both worlds Posted Image

We are yet to find out, I assume everything she did in ME1 helped alot, she survived a overwelming attack from Geth on Eden Prime (Soul survivor) She helped Shepard throughout ME1 in Saving the Galaxy (Battle of the Citadel, Ilos, Noveria, ect) Worked well leading a squad of Salarian STG on Virmire, and I assume she's been doing alot of stuff durring the two years before ME2 anbd throughout ME2 too. So it's a mixture of her skill and politics, humanity needed a new Spectre and she was the most qualified for the job. I guess she's been very busy, being a Spectre's tough. And the Alliance probably gave her the Lietenant Commander rank as she became Spectre, a Spectre needs a ship, If she was given a ship as Chief some of the people who worked for her would outrank her, lol. So thats why I think she got the big promotion. In just a few years she will be Captain, and a few after that she will be Admiral Williams...That sounds good.

As soon as I have an idea that doesn't contain any spoilers I'll write you one, but I fear you'll have to wait a while. Or I'll write one for your PM so I can use spoilers ^^

Whatever.

You know what? I have real-world things to do. So unfortunately, do not expect me to appear on the forums for a while. This breach at Bioware - I swear to god, I wish I could unread what I read. So one along the line has f***ed up. And I'm sorry, but I've got real world work to do and as much as I love this forum and writing Ash-a-logues. I cannot while this rubbish is going on.

So, tata for now.

If you want something somber to read: Read my post here. http://social.biowar...index/8651534/3
