How do you know she's a lieutenant? Have I missed something major?

It's from the audio of the Earth Demo. when Casey isn't talking over it you hear Anderson say this:
Lieutenant, bring the normady to the tracking signal (or along those lines)

Ashley responds to it saying that they're bringing the ship around. She answers to the rank of Lieutenant so we assume that she's been promoted.

I think it's safe to say that Ashley has restored her family name, well if reaching Lieutenant doesn't i'm sure Spectre does that and more for her family name.

same way shep was still cmdr in ME1,she problay was promoted before becomeing a spectre and now that she is one she keeps the rank as a formality as she is still apart of the alliance military.

Well, just added this thread to my browsers favorite list because: Ash is worth it :-)

I want something very special for all Shashley shippers out there, since we all got screwed in ME2
With this in mind it is hard to stay loyal with all these woman on board the SR2, who would like to get the commander in their bed.
And even females on different planets try to flirt with him in ME2 (if you imported a paragon character from ME1) After the meeting with Shiala on Illium i waited for Garrus to comment the situation in some way (who has been in the team so he could meet Liara again. Just fluffy for old friends). Something like "Shepard, is there any woman who isnt attracted to you in this entire damn galaxy?"Answer:  "****** off..." or "i certaincly have my moments buddy"

So: Ashley basicaly ended their relationship, mentioning they have changed and now need to move on with their lifes. Maybe she even has a new boyfriend (i would let him get eaten by some husks ) And thats all? I want the PC loyalty during ME2 rewarded in ME3!!! For example by a special sidequest just for ME1 Ashley LI who have stayed loyal to her. Or a long term relation, not just more flirting for a single sex sequence before the final fight. Dont betray our believes Bioware

Seems like she is on board the Normandy SR2 from the beginning. Two human spectres on board of one single ship. Sounds like the Reapers will get into a world of pain

when ash talks about her sisters...the scene in which i belive you were refering to in your last post,she mentions that her father had them all take self defense class's ash was taught marine hand to hand combat,abby learned how to fight with  swords,lynn when to the shooting range but didnt like it and sarah took Akido.
