The continuation of my Shep and Ashley's friendship is one of the things I look forward to most in ME3.

^ This. SO much this. Horizon needs to be resolved for Femshep/Ash. My current one needs her BFF back, so they can finally fight on the same side in the war.

Spectres Femshep/Ashley FTW

I still won't ever understand why she couldn't say this face-to-face. I was really pissed at her, but I'll ease up. She's still gotta score some brownie points with me though.

(I'm sorry I yelled at you, Ash!)

Put yourself in her shoes. The person she loved, someone who she can reveal all of her secrets, and the person who made her "feel good enough"; who was KIA and sent her life into a spiral, suddenly is two feet in front of her alive and well after two years. She presumed that Shep was alive all this time and they didn't tell her anything. So suddenly she feel betrayed. Then to put salt on the wound Shep is working for terrorists. And by the time Shep explains to her that he was dead and he just woke up from comotose she is so mad that she won't hear any of it. I was never mad at her. Actually by the end of the Horizon conversation I was mad at Shep. I mean come on after two years the only thing he can come up with is "Hey Ash it's been too long." I was suprised Ash didn't punch Shep in the jaw right then and there.

I'm still upset, but it ain't like I didn't see her side of things. She didn't see mine. Anyway, that's wutb!

Hey, Ash fans! I've been reading this thread and old thread too, but still not write here that I completely agree with all of you. Ash is awesome, the best woman in the galaxy and all that... My Shep and I was damn glad that she returned to me3  :wizard:

What's wrong with the Ash thread...no posters for 9 hours?
How about a ponytail for Ash...during her combat moments?

Raanz, I think I have a ponytail for you ;)
I drew this last night. Nothing special, just a quick sketch.

All of ME2 was bad that way for me. I'm actually a little resentful over the "working for Cerberus" thing.

I dont know if I exactly ever got angry at her. To be perfectly honest, I was more depressed than anything. I mean here was the big moment I was waiting for and... She leaves... For the next two missions my shep was moping around the Normandy, kind of out of it until he finally got Ash's letter. Made everything much better. Looking forward to getting her back in ME3.

My biggest problem with Horizon is how casually Ashley comes around the corner.
Being affected by the seeker swarm's paralysis, plus adrenaline, plus the fact that most of the colony she was sent to help protecting got abducted, must have really done a number on her chemical and emotional balance, hard to stay calm in a situation like this.
And then there is Shepard, presumed dead, rumored to be alive and working for Cerberus, rumors she was not willing to believe and then she comes to realize, they are true.
A situation like that really must make your head spin - you just want to get out of there, be alone, calm down a little and try to put everything that is just flodding your mind into smaller pieces you can actually process one at a time. So you stick to your principles - they are a tool for situations like this, when we are unable to think things through reasonably, so we can make decisions without getting stuck.
Imo, that whole scene is delivered much too calm, dominated by Shepard's default coolness.

This is how I fill in the blanks and Ashley's reaction becomes understandable to me.

i myself just think that all that emotion was already there and when shep Blurts out "im with cerberus" (you know the bad guys who were just as bad as the geth who tried to kill her,her love and her friends) pretty much lights the fuse on her thermal nuclear weapon.

I was never angry at Ashley after horizon either.... I'm with the guy who said he was depressed.

I was pissed at Shepard for only having stupid lines that you would say to casual acquaintances, not to someone you love. I was sad that she felt betrayed and didn't trust Shepard. I was equally depressed that she wouldn't join up with me and that we left things unresolved.

I felt much better after the email only to go the rest of the game without seeing or talking to her again. It was a blow to the gut and I can't wait to get her back in ME3.

I understand Ashley's reaction on Horizon and I don't blame her for being pissed. I was pissed that I had no choice but to work with Cerberus. The main thing that bothers me about it that could've been done much better, is Shep's response. He was just so... emotionless, when I was having a full emotion overload. That drives me crazy every time I replay that scene.

Shepard's response makes me wonder if he's not really a cyborg or something now. He does seem to show even less emotion in ME2 than he did in ME1 - but of course, he's never shown much emotion, and with some of the backgrounds he can have, that might actually be understandable.

I wonder how Ash/Shepad will address Horizon in ME3? Or will they just pretend it didn't happen?

I hope they don't pretend it didn't happen, that would be terrible! I definitely want them to talk about it at some point. As for Shep acting like a cyborg, I was actually starting to think he'd been indoctrinated or something. The complete and utter lack of emotion in certain scenes is mind boggling. I'm emotionally connected to these scense.... Why can't my Shepard be?

i cant say i experinced any strong emotions during or after horizon (to be fair however i was already told what was going to happen by a friend who had the game early) i was happy to see ash of course but knew that she wouldnt be around much so i accepted it and tried to play the game, when i finely played the rest of the game and all i got was a email and a small scene where shep stares at ash's picture, thats when i felt insulted.

As I've said many a time, chooseing the neutral lines on Horizon lets shepard get ALL the facts out. "Cebrerus brought me back to life over the span of 2 years" then "the Alliance turned it's back on me and the colonists I'm helping then while they call em crazy" "the council won't believe it's anyone other than Cerberus, just like you" it's true.

ppl forget though that TIM kinda put shep in the situation that hes in with ash and the council, they want him back but his dealings with cerberus makes them nervous.

But who picks the nuetral options? Seriously, I must say, that was a pretty good job of misdirection on the writer's part. Is there reaction the same because if not, what was the point of getting all the facts. Yeah, they apologized, but already had their minds made up.

I didn't know that though, interesting

convo just ends faster if you pick the neutral lines.even less emotion and she still leaves in the end.

^ Maybe some wanted the emotional impact though.

I mean, it evoled emotion in them, but that's better than a "kthx, bye!" That's more insulting to some people then a tongue lashing as some would prefer such because to the other person, you're still communicating. (not that the cold shoulder isn't communication)

i prefer a mix between the pargon neutral and renagade.

theres one choice thats renagade for some odd reason where shepard says "cerberus and i want the same thing to save our colonies, that dosnt mean i answer to them" i guess its beacuse its rather curt.
