Yeah, that's a bit unfair. I dunno why Liara gets all that "special treatment (positive) and the VS that other "special treatment (negative). Either because it's bad writing or they're biased. At least in ME2 it felt "biased" - Liara got a DLC for her own story arc and romantic development while the VS got a tiny cameo that also was badly written.

*sigh* okay, every story writer has his fav character. But the story of ME isn't written by a single guy. It's written by a team. I simply can't believe the entire team dislikes the VS and loves Liara. At least I wouldn't. Sure, I'm biased as well - my fav is Ashley, therefore, she'd get a more intense story arc than any other character, but I wouldn't treat others in an unfair manner.

Whatever. Not my story, can complain forever, it's useless. So I accept Liara is BW fav. I don't have to romance her. And that's fine enough.

The reason I'm so pissed about it is because the ending(s) ended up on my screen (not Ash related), its almost the exact same thing that a few other shows I used to love did. Worse, it's something that I would come up with... Not that it can't work, its just... bad. As in Horizon bad.

Because they wanted to try sell  Liara as the "Hot blue" Alien and when she did not go over  very well - they had to pump her some more. It bothers me as well  but its something I we got to live with - I don't hate Liara  I just find her  completly interesting  when they add Samara is was relief - I like her much more than Liara - interesting history, the Justicar code and interesting look in Asari culture.  Funny  thing  Ali Hillis -  I love her as Lightining but can't STAND her as Liara.

I think we have all come to terms with the fact that BW likes choice based game. And by choice I mean HARD choice but you still have it so you may go any path you want. You have also multiple playthroughs so you can make different choices the second or the third time. Really people, don't worry

That's what I'm hoping.  Let's face it: although it's obligatory to choose between Ashley and Kaidan on Virmire, there are no squaddies who have completely obligatory deaths.  So far, any squaddie could be saved if Shep put a mind to it; in some cases, there were simply higher costs than others.  I haven't seen the spoilers (though I've picked up some hints of them from some people's posts), but I remain doggedly, forcedly optimistic.  Those of us who love Ashley and Kaidan can still, hopefully, get our happy ending.

...Like Badpie, though, I'm probably not going to hang around the forums much anymore until ME3 comes out.  I did not wait all this time just to be spoiled during the final few months.

Also - I've removed all Mass Effect stories from my Fanfiction profile. Uninterested and don't really have the inclination to continue them after this fiasco today.

I don't persay Hated but they  I did not pull it off well - There is  ten year span in DA  2 people can change - the problem is when you do what Bioware does alot - They tell you rather than show you... and that  never really works. 

Honestly -  even with out reading the spoilers -  my  Idoit Ball and miss used Trope  sense is going off right now... when it comes to ME 3

Perhaps. But not at the moment. I don't plan to comment or even be on the Bioware forums for a while. My life is more important than a game. That being said. I haven't cancelled my pre-order for ME3, but I am leaning in that direction. And I would also be overly ecstatic if Hudson or anyone else points out that these so-called 'spoilers' are false.

I think it's not just Ash but Kaidan as well, amirite?

However, I hope things will turn out better than we can read out from the spoilers. I hope so. I mean, what's the reason to make the VS so "unpleasant" to have him or her around? Because of the BW fav Liara? Playing down any other LI for Asarimancers? That's just unfair, must say.

I'm rage quitting because admittedly yes, in some part because of the spoilers, but but also because Bioware allowed Microsoft to leak that sensitive informatoin onto the net were it has become a virus. 


If I feel so inclined, I may, just may write again. I am simply in a position where my academic life is taking a turn for the worse and I need to get my ass in gear before I fall too far behind everyone else.

what i hoped was thy gonna build on the Horizont encounter and deepen the relationship using mutual regret; yet thy only deepened the mistrust

but again i do hope things go different; the spoiler might even cose some outcry so bioware does changes

Mega, we don't know how old this stuff is. Maybe it's the earliest draft. Or an evil fiction of one of the scenarists, who saved it just for fun (u-huh...)

I know Ashley is worth it. Even if it hurts. Yeah, and it seems to be official: BW hates the VS.
