i prefer a mix between the pargon neutral and renagade.

theres one choice thats renagade for some odd reason where shepard says "cerberus and i want the same thing to save our colonies, that dosnt mean i answer to them" i guess its beacuse its rather curt.

I am with you Ashlover. I have a certain set of dialouge choices that make the most sense. Because if Shep is just one or the other the whole conversation makes no sense. (Or less sense because the whole scene is just awful) For instance the full paragon options I think Ash should knock Shep's block off at several instances.

i understand where the devs wanted to do with horizon,it was just excuted poorly.not only that it was just the fact that ash was completely ignored for the rest of the game.....i mean ok they wanted to isolate shep from ash and save the best stuff for last and not have her dead for ME3 but still you could have given her something else to do.you could have even had a few more interactions between the two to further the relationship dynamic.

BUT NO!!!! lets given her 5 mins of screen time and and throw miranda at you.

INSULTING bioware....just insulting.

Seconded!!!    This NEEDS to be an alternate look for Ashley in ME3.  It's the perfect blend of sexy Ash and character consistent practical Ash.

Going from a SNCO to a junior Lieutenant? That's kinda of a demotion unless its a Naval LT rank. But even then being a SPECTRE should overrule any rank game.

I don't have a problem with Ash's current combat suit...but I agree 100%. Hell, THIS should be the default. And the pony tail is bad ass!

I always thought, it would have been nice, when we go back to Anderson on the presidium after Horizon, Ashley is there for her debriefing and a chance to talk, regardless if you romcanced her in ME1 or not. She could have explained the things she said in the eMail, that she understands what he is doing and though she still does not like who is working with, she can see, why Shepard chose to do so. She could have emphasized once more, that her place is with the Alliance, but she will do everthing to support Shepard's mission from that position and defend his actions to their superiors.
And then a little more in case of romance, about her mourning process and how everything came rushing back to her on Horizon. But as long as Shepard is on a dangerous mission like that, she can't open herself up to the possiblity of a relationship again and there might be a chance for them, once things have calmed down.

I understand Ashley's reaction on Horizon and I don't blame her for being pissed. I was pissed that I had no choice but to work with Cerberus. The main thing that bothers me about it that could've been done much better, is Shep's response. He was just so... emotionless, when I was having a full emotion overload. That drives me crazy every time I replay that scene.

This.... After doing the Cerberus side missions in ME1, I didn't want anything to do with them. IF I had a choice,  I"d  have gone back with Ash and worked out a plan with the Alliance to take out the collector base. After the scene on Horizon I was like "This is it?, This is all I get Bioware???" And getting the e-mail was ok but not enough. Not for two people who love each other so. All the fish died because my Shep was love sick mooning over Ashs' pic.

The problem with that is that the Allaince stil ldoesn't take the collector threat seriously, and the council won't get involved since it's just humans and it's out in the terminus systems.

Also just replayed Horizon, Renegade, paragon, paragon is a good mix of choices gets some tension in the dialogue on both ends too.Image IPB

I think it's worth noting that Shep throws his lot in with TIM and Cerberus before ever even TRYING to report back to the council and telling them what he knows about the Collectors.  Hell, at that point in the game there's basically NO real evidence that the Collectors are working with the Reapers, just TIM's "hunch"

It's always been a pretty major wallbanger for me that Shep joins up with TIM so damn quickly.  You think he'd at least try to talk to Anderson first.  The story really needed to make it a lot more clear that the Alliance and the Citadel council were burying their heads in the sand BEFORE forcing you to agree joining a terrorist group.

It's another reason I think Ash is justified on Horizon, up to that point I had been internally screaming at Shep for being such a putz myself.

Ash does have the right not to join Shepard, but she is being to emotional on Horizon. It sucks that ME2 assumes you did the Cerberus missions because I've done ME1 PT's where I avoided Kahoku and lef thim at the terminal and then all of a Sudden "don't you remember what Cerberus did?" um, no Ashley I've never evne ehard of Cerberus until they revived me, what Ship did you serve on in 2183 agian? o.O

i dont think her reaction to cerberus was over emotional.if you do them or not the cerberus side missions are canon to the mass effect story.cerberus are bad guys know matter what their goals are,ME2 did a terrible job of convinceing the player that the alliance with them was absolutley nesscary.

ash is perfectly justified  imo to respond to her lover working for or with  them in the manner that she did.

Actually it didn't. TIM walks his talk on the very first ground mission. He get Shep there and shepard finds evidence they need to see that the threat is real. The first thing I do is go to the council meeting (unless I'm saving it for post SM so Legion can come) the paragon Line of "Cerberus isn't the enemy" calls the Alliance out for disregarding the threat and understandably that pisses Ash off. That is where her emotions and devotion to the Alliance get in the way, Kasumi's line "Wow, you're so blinded by Cerberus you can't even see the truth" is right on the money. Shepard is made out to look insane by the Council they question her mental state going back to the chase for Saren even after a Reaper attacks. Ashley doesn't help by calling her a traitor especially the "you betrayed Me" line. <-Emotional.

cerberus wasnt the enemy that day,but anit no way you can trust TIM and cerberus not to turn around and betray you sometime.i think thats what ash was worried about more than anything imo, rightthen and there they were doing something good and they were  helping but who knows what they will do after.

think the answer is pretty clear now.they betray you.

ashelys suspecions of cerberus working for the reapers/collecters dosnt seem so out there now.

1) Shepard should not have trusted tIM even that far.  Shepard should have reported back to the Alliance before anything else.  That's kinda what your priority is when you're military.

2) Freedom's Progress doesn't prove that the Collectors are working with the Reapers, nor does it prove the Collectors are real.  Cerberus is the first mention of missing colonies Shepard gets at all.  The entire experience could have been tIM planting sets and video and traumatizing the quarian (if he isn't in on it).  Those collectors?  Could have been Cerberus mercs in bugsuits.

3) Going back to the Council after you've already signed on with Cerberus (you have to have the Normandy and tell tIM "you were right" before the game allows you back to the Citadel; nothing seems to be preventing Shepard, s/he just doesn't care) does not qualify as "going to the Council first."

Ash should totally have arrested Shepard.  Shepard got off light.  <_<

i also think that ash didnt want to throw her lot in with those kind of ppl.to her they will always be a threat they were one in the past and they are one in the future.

cerberus is the one who gave itself a bad name in the eyes of the galaxy by useing its brutal methods to achive their own ends and damn to consqeunces for the rest of the galaxy.

Actually Ash Lover, the Cerberus mercs (probably a cell) are indoctrinated the same way the Allaince Cell was indoctrinated in Arrival. (the demo has a line wher Shepard says "They're indoctrinated") People are quick to forget arrival was an Allaince cell betraying Shepard. I can't wait for Shepard to bring that up in the trial that she was captured by her own military and ahd god knows what done to her while the Reapers advanced on the galaxy. I wonder what Ash will say then.

you dont think that TIM screwing around with reaper/collecter tech was what might have caused  him and his ppl to get indoctrinated in the first place.

the fact that TIM thinks he is the only person that can wield such advanced tech so far beyond his comprehenshion just shows you how foolish and dangerous he is.

he plays god and then screws up.then ppl die.then he says it was nesscary.

the alliance isnt perfect (no goverment instatution is) but it tries hard to do whats best for the galaxy.

this is what ash belives.imo
