Lt. Commander Ashley Williams thread: "Don't 'Ash' me!" We're Back Baby!

Shepard: Oh yeah? is it about my new tattoo, or are you going to compliment my roguishly good looks?
Ashley: 'Unas Salus Victus' - One hope of the doomed. Very fitting of the life - well, your lifestyle anyway.
Shepard: What? Dangerous, nay, suicidal odds on a daily basis? Sometimes twice a day?
Ashley: Yeah. Something like that.
Shepard: If you want to say something Williams, Just say it.
Ashley: I... wanted to apologise.
Shepard: For what?
Ashley: Horizon, the defence committee meeting. For everything.
Shepard: That's not what you really wanted to say, is it?
Ashley: Yes. It was.
Shepard: Ash, I can see it in your eyes. You're lying right now, and I don't appreciate it.
Ashley: You're right. God. I'm not a word person, John. You know that.
Shepard: I know.
Ashley: I'm trying to have a heartfelt confession here, and you're grinning like a jackass. *Shepard chuckles* I love you.
Shepard: ... *still looking like a jackass, starts chuckling again a little louder this time.*
Ashley: What? I love you! Alright!? Is that so funny?!
Shepard: Not in the least. In fact, it's quite the marvellous coincidence.
Ashley: Can you not take anything seriously?
Shepard: *stops*
Ashley: I just wanted to say it, Alright? And I know that after everything I've done to you. Calling you a traitor on Horizon and things that followed, that you would probably be happier pretending I didn't say anyth- *Shepard shuts her up with a passionate kiss*
Shepard: You don't know me at all, woman. I was just waiting for you to say 'I love you'. You know, 'Ladies first' and all that.
Ashley: You are such as ****.
Shepard: Yet you love me, I'm not seeing a problem, there.
Ashley: Still an ****.
Shepard: Still love me, though.
Ashley: Yeah, but your an ****.
Shepard: Shut up and kiss me. That's an order.
Ashley: Gladly skipper.

Unfortuantely, stress and fatigue are getting to me, and you know its bad when ever your hairdresser says so (I got a haircut today). I'm only eighteen, and my hair is already thinning out like someone's nearly three times my age. So I right now, I'm just trying to relax and not do much of anything.
Writing Shepley is quite stressful for me at the moment.

Shepard: G'morning Ash.
Ashley: Hey Skip.
Shepard: Coffee?
Ashley: You know me. No coffee, no kiss.
Shepard: Here you go - extra tough, exactly like you love it.
Ashley: Thanks, Skip. So, how are you today?
Shepard: Hmm, no kiss, no answer. You know me.
Ashley: Better than you can imagine, John *kisses Shepard*
Shepard: Never felt better - I think it was a great idea to take those two months vacation. No council, no missions ... just you and me and the Normandy.
EDI: And Jeff, Mess Chief Gardner and not to forget me.
Shepard: Uhh, thanks for reminding me, EDI.
EDI: You're welcome, John.
Ashley: So ... we're alone. Almost. Hmm?
Shepard: Indeed. Ash, may I ask you something?
Ashley: Sure.
Shepard: Remember what you told me before we went to Ilos?
Ashley: In our night - yes, I do.
Shepard: You told me I should come back to hear some words of you. Now, it's been five years now and we both went through hell - twice at least. And you still never told me what you wanted to say.
Ashley: Hmm ... I don't know - isn't it a bit too late? I mean, I'm not even sure ...
Shepard: Ash ...
Ashley: Skip. You make me feel good enough, no, more than that. For the first time since our night before Ilos I'm happy. I ... Skip, I'm not good with that. And you know it.
Shepard: Ash ... don't you think it'll be much easier if you get beyond that point?
Ashley: I fear it could become even more complicated ... we're still Alliance officers and ...
Shepard: ... Spectres. Normal rules don't apply on us. Besides that, Fleetadmiral Anderson is fine with it. He'll even help us with the paperwork and such, so don't worry.
Ashley: John, you don't understand. I don't know if I'm ready for next step.
Shepard: That might sound rude, but don't we live together already? Just three words, Ashley ... just three.
Ashley: *sigh* ... you're an awful boyfriend, know that?
Shepard: You tend to remind me on that twice a day ...
Ashley: Haha, very funny. Skip ... I like you. But don't make me saying the other three words. I feel stupid.
Shepard: It is stupid to express feelings?
Ashley: Yes! ... no. Argh, John ...
Shepard: Say three words and I let you go.
Ashley: So there's no way out of this?
Shepard: Nope.
Ashley: Okay. Read my lips. *shows three words without saying them*
Shepard: That doesn't count, Ash.
Ashley: God, I hate you. John, I ... love you.
Shepard: I love you, Ashley ...
Ashley: You make it really hard to love you, you know that?
Shepard: Was it that difficult?
Ashley: It was horrible. Worse than losing you with the first Normandy. Seriously.
Shepard: Sure. C'mon ... it wasn't that hard. Oh - and you need a new coffee. Your's is cold.
Ashley: John ... ?
Shepard: Yes, Ash?
Ashley: Don't make me EVER asking for that marriage thing, okay? That's your goddamn job.
Shepard: We'll see ...
Ashley: SKIPPER?!
Shepard: Just kidding ... *snickers*

What was horrible? Horrible spoilers or horrible content in spoilers? <_<
Guys, I so badly hope ME3 will give us Ashmancers a darn fine reason to continue Shepley. It just shouldn't end a way I'd go for Liara, Miranda or somewhere else because their romances could be more enjoyable than Ashley's (or Kaidan's).
*sigh*
I don't have Skyrim. Lets go back to SciFi-stuff ... Sins of a Solar Empire in my case.

He's been gone for three years. Two spent dead, and third as Cerberus' unwilling lapdog or so he claimed. But then I saw him, back facing me wearing the uniform of the same Alliance she thought he had willingly abandoned. Carrying it with shoulders broad in pride, despite the circumstances he was in. I called his name, though I wasn't sure why. He turned, a look of surprise and maybe even a subtle touch of that kiddish excitement on his face. Our gazes met, and for a moment it felt like we could forget the last three years and that all that mattered was us. Anderson snapped my attention away and I thought in the back of my mind that there may have been hope for us yet.
Thought I'd try my hand at it.
edit: For some reason, it won't colour.

The longer I spend time with this man, the more I know he is the one I lost more than two years ago. I'm not sure why I feel like that or why I even believe he's still the same - he's not the same. He shouldn't be. It's so confusing! Why are you testing me and my faith, oh Lord? Is it right to fall in love with a man that should be dead? What ungodly horrors brought him back, can a man like him take it and stay true to himself? The more I think of it, the more I feel love and hatred at the same time. Everything feels wrong ... like an illusion, like a nightmare. And I can't wake up.
Ashley Williams' diary, 29th October 2185.
Good night, guys.
And seriously ... we should stop the spoilers - I seriously don't wanna know if Shepley ends good or bad or if it's written good or bad. If BW were fair, we should get a really amazing romance with Ashley (or Kaidan) ...

Ashley: Good night, Skipper. Sleep well.
Shepard: It's not time to go to bed, Ash. It's not even 7pm board time.
Ashley: And what if I say I'll spend the night with you?
Shepard: Huh ... look, it's so late! We should go to bed!

Ashley: You've already seen everything Skipper, don't need to hide behind a door.
Shepard: Its respect. You know? That little thing that I'm capable of showing on occasion to people who are worth it.
Ashley: Yes, I'm decent. Come in.
Shepard: Heya.
Ashley: What's the matter, Commander? Or should I call you 'Major' now?
Shepard: 'Major Shepard' sounds pretty cool, I will admit. But you know, just 'John' or 'Skipper' is fine.
Ashley: Alright then skipper, What's up? You didn't come by to keep me warm, did you?
Shepard: Maybe I did.
Ashley: I like the sound of that, but you're not telling me something.
Shepard: Can I have your hand for a sec?
Ashley: Why?
Shepard: Saw something on it, caught my attention.
Ashley: *raising hand to look at it curiously.* Nope, nothing.
Shepard: *slips a silver band onto her ring finger* What about now?
Ashley: A- *speechless and stuttering, flips hand over and its a small diamond with sapphires surrounding it* A- uh.
Shepard: Well?
Ashley: You ask all girls to marry you like this?!
Shepard: Just the ones I know will say yes.
Ashley: cocky, Shepard.
Shepard: Nothin' stopping you taking it off, though I'd take it as a kindness if you didn't.
Ashley: God. Did you ask your last fiancee like this?
Shepard: I was a little more public about it, and a little more... sweet. Heh. Had a Chef put it in the little flower arrangement on her birthday cake.
Ashley: Hah! So literally 'sweeter', huh?
Shepard: Yea. Along with a little card. So, am I getting a 'yay' or a 'nay'?
Ashley: I don't know, Shepard. What will I get if I say yes?
Shepard: Whatever you want.
Ashley: Sounds tempting. And I have just the thing I want in mind.
Shepard: And what would that be Miss Williams.
Ashley: You *kisses him*.

Looks like my plans for today have changed

Quentin "Squirrel" Shepard, Infiltrator with a shotgun, earthborn, sole survivor is about to infiltrate Ashley's

The nick-name 'squirrel' was given to him by the "Reds" back on earth, because he always was a swift climber and used to do a lot of breaking and entering for them.
Hmm, "The Squirrel and the Hellcat" - sounds like an inspiring fable!

There are NO spoilers in this dialogue.
By the way, I'm still working at the "reboot!ME".
Aurora: Little Ashley in Ashley's thread, I concur. Time to change this ... another post-Horizon dialogue. No Shepley this time.
Anderson: And you said you found no evidence Cerberus is behind the attacks?
Ashley: No, Sir. However, the rumors are true - both. Collectors are abducting colonies - and Shepard is ... he's alive.
Anderson: Yes, indeed. I'm sorry Chief, I had to keep that info away from you.
Ashley: So you knew it? Shepard is working for Cerberus ... they were investigating the abductions as well.
Anderson: Seems so. I don't trust Cerberus, even less since we found three agents in high command last week. Cerberus seems to have connections everywhere and ... I'm a bit worried.
Ashley: Sir?
Anderson: Remember Admiral Kahoku? A fine man, Rear Admiral of the Fifth Fleet. I saw Shepard's reports on that matter - he died in a Cerberus installation. But the entire board of Admirals claims - even now - Kahoku died of natural causes. How's that possible? Is the ENTIRE admiralty infiltrated? There are more evidences a lot of top officers have connections to Cerberus - and it's impossible to get rid of them.
Ashley: Sir, why are you telling me that?
Anderson: Because I trust you. Chief, in times like this we need friends we can trust. Especially one that showed invincible determination and loyalty - like you. I need you to find out what's going on.
Ashley: I'll do my best. But what's with Shepard?
Anderson: I trust him.
Ashley: He's working for Cerberus, Sir. And everyone who knows Shepard is alive also knows he's a Cerberus agent.
Anderson: Shepard works openly for Cerberus, but he is not a part of this organisation. I talked to him, and it was Shepard like I used to know. He has a mission he only can do for Cerberus, not for the Alliance right now.
Ashley: I guess you mean his mission regarding the Collectors?
Anderson: Indeed. The Alliance tries everything to reduce them to rumors and calls pirates and raiders being responsible for any abductions. Slavery. Violence. That's it. But we both know they're wrong. Maybe Cerberus wants to keep the Alliance out of Shepard's way and uses its connections in the Alliance?
Ashley: That's a bit complicated ... why should they do that?
Anderson: I don't know. That's what I need you for. Find out more about Cerberus' goals - and follow Shepard. We need to know more about the Collectors and their connection to the Reapers. We need evidence they're working together, we need evidence, the Reapers are real. I just don't wanna face another Turian who "claims" the Reapers are not real.
Ashley: Sir, where should I start?
Anderson: Omega. Shepard uses this station as base of operation. He had some contact to the locals here, so you might find answers.
Ashley: Aye Sir ...
Anderson: Good look, "Lieutenant" Williams. One last thing: keep it secret. The Alliance is NOT involved in your mission and will not bail you out if things go wrong. You're on your own out there.
Ashley: Thank you, Sir! I won't disappoint you.
-----
Udina: You did what, Anderson? Do you have ANY idea what this means?! Do you want a war with the Terminus systems?!
Anderson: I have no idea what you're talking about, Udina.
Udina: You just sent Williams on a mission ... you really should discuss something like that with me before doing anything.
Anderson: Like I did when I transferred her to Horizon. And it's my decision, Udina.
Udina: I hope you know what you're doing.
