I didn't watch/listen to the video linked at the end of your post V-Rex. But I think you summed up people's feelings on the matter very well.

Of course, none of the haters have bothered to post about it. As usual. lol

I read it, and I agree with you completely.

I try not to respond to those type of threads because I just get so sick of constantly seeing them heavily centered on Ash.

The worst part about it, no one bothers to actually look & pay attention to the entire scene/dialogue, they just latch on to a certain word or phrase and run blindly with it.

Yes, Ash isn't perfect (nobody is), but that's what makes her unique & endearing, not some run of the mill cookie-cutter character IMO.

Sorry for that, I just needed to get it of my chest.

I JUST got through the whole 'sic your dog' convo and I can totally understand Ash's viewpoint. I understand what she means by not letting aliens roam free. Realistically you barely know them, and in real life not any ol' Joe could just waltz around a high class war ship... it just wouldn't be done.

In either case, I'm happily starting my romance with Ash finally! When does the actual romance convos start? I just did Liara's mission....so after the 2nd planet?

Yeah it starts after she says she thought you'd be chatting it up with Liara since she's not bound by Regs. assure her that you're not interested in Liara and the romance should continue after you hear her sister say that Shepard's cute.

Even if it did, it still may have been perceived that way. That is not to blame the writer though because audience do misinterpret things. The same could be said about Jack (hypothetically), but clearly her vitrol was intentional or they did a tremendous job fooling us. haha

It wasn't what she said, but HOW she said it! Look at Miranda when she snarks at Joker. Her tone is what gve most people fits - though that was reasonable. Ashley, her and even the Horizon guy fall in the same ship (pun intended). The Council, Alliance and Cerberus. It's not the reasoning (or lack thereof), but the pushing it in Shepard's face! That is what people are having a problem with. As TIM said: "You're too damn idealistic!" Often times, Renegade Shepard has said the same!

I just hope that the writers make up for Horizon.

Let's hope that we don't have to start/pursue our relationship with Ashley from anew. I want to be able to pick up were we left of and to continue the existing relationship. That is even my main grudge with ME2. My Shepard and Ashley were finally together and I wanted to see how that relationship would grow in ME2. Yeah right. The writers made sure that ME2 was the worst gaming experience in my life.

I am happy for those who were able to like ME2 but I didn't.

I don't know about any of you but I am hoping for a happy end with Shepard and Ashley getting married and a flash forward showing a possible family life for them in the end.

Don't get your hopes up on that. ME3 will end with a cutscene and then credits. There won't be an epilogue, at least I wouldn't think anyway. It'll probably end with something about how the galaxy is moving on after the reapers and maybe a cutscene showing Shep and his/her LI ... holding hands and looking toward the horizon (lol) or having a kiss or what not.

That is a start.  But an epilogue would be nice to have though.

They're still making the game. Perhaps some of our ideas or whishes make it in.

I love all of the times she has a witty/snarky comment about the task at hand or about politicians and every thing like that. But if I had to choose a moment in the game... it comes down to either:

"If you want to see me in a tin foil mini and thigh high boots. I expect dinner first.... uh.. sir!" 
(not an exact quote... that's off the top of my head lol)

or

that moment when Shepard slumps by his locker on the Normandy and is about to give up hope when Ashley tells him that she's with him all the way and not to give up (can't remember the words here either... I haven't played ME1 in a long while) and then they almost share that first kiss before joker so ... ruuuudely... interrupts! lol

It is hard to pick just one.

When she started reciting poetry for the first time. Kim B delivered those lines with so much emotions and awesomeness. I fell for Ashley right there and then.

Some others:

I liked the bit alot where she opens up about her family and when we talk about her sister Sarah.

As Reed said. The locker scene was one of my favorites two like the flirting on the citadel with the tin foil miniskirt.

The romance scene was great two.

There are so many favorite memories of Ash... Meeting her for the first time on Eden Prime, but first getting to watch her kick some butt on the transmission to the Normandy. There's so much history between her and Shep and it all starts right there.

That's the part right after you say that it wasn't her fault... and she just slightly smiles at you, right? That smile ALWAYS makes me melt! LOVE that scene too!!!

I can't think of any, but I will say that she was as a frequent squadmate as Miranda is in ME2. In fact, I took her on the fight with Saren as did Miranda with the Reaper fetus! More than likely, I'll take both if permitted.
