My inner pessimist gets tied-up and gagged, when it comes to gaming. I have ruined many a good game for myself in the past, because of my expectations and attitude and I have learned from that *cough*oblivion*cough*. Being overly critical just takes away from the fun and that is what I want to get out of this game, regardless of what the story will be like. In the end it is their game and not  mine - I just sit back and enjoy the ride, over and over again. I am curious to see, what they have thought up for certain characters and I don't need it to be 100% in accordance with my own wishes for ME3 to enjoy the game 100%.

Would you mind if I sat with you on the bus? This is how I feel and I was beginning to think I was alone. Image IPB

Sorry AD ... Didn't realize I had TOP.

Oh, I'll write one. Just for you. Later. For now I prefer sad mails. Besides that, Shepley is at it's best when sat times turn to happiness and for now I need some sad stuff to make it happen.

Oh and I consider renegade as "heartbreaking" for Ashley. You can't be 100% renegade for Ash - but renegon Image IPB

Lets hope "BW's treatment of the VS" will end in a good ol' sappy romance happy end.
And I'm fine.

Ashley: Concur. Whatever I have to go through, it'll be worth.
Shepard: You're worth it.
Wrex: Guys, you're so sappy ...
Garrus: Indeed, Wrex, indeed.
Ashley: Ah, cut the chatter you two. You're just jealous.
Wrex: Of what? You? Nah. Have four fertile female Krogans on Tuchanka, one for each ball.
Ashley: Thanks for mental image. Wrex humping his harem.
Shepard: Amen.

Shepard: Have you ever wondered what it would be like? Just you, me, in a penthouse with an ocean side view on Amateratsu?
Ashley: If we can make it that far.
Shepard: I'm trying to be optimistic, Ash. Fortune favours the prepared. And after this, I'm actually thinking of retiring.
Ashley: You? Retiring? that's one thing I thought I'd never hear you say.
Shepard: You don't think I deserve it?
Ashley: I don't know, Skip'. You had a two year nap.
Shepard: Doesn't count. The bed was rock hard and the room service was sh!t. To say the least. But I had a beautiful woman keeping me company in my dreams. Think you know her.
Ashley: You're a career man, John. Like me, your life is the Alliance.
Shepard: Yea, and they sold the both of us to the SpecTRes...
*Pause*
Shepard: Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like a bitter ******.
Ashley: It's alright. I guess I can understand. That whole SpecTRe this wasn't your choice I know. But if you do go hang up your armor for the last time, what will you do?
Shepard: *grabs her and pulls her close.* Maybe we'll have the pitter-patter of tiny feet echoing through the house?
Ashley: Heh. Yeah, I think you'd make a wonderful father, Skip'.
Shepard: But right now its a pipe dream. Need to get rid of the Reapers first.
Ashley:*Smirks* I want a ring on my finger first, John. then we'll talk about about kids.
Shepard: Consider it done.
Ashley: That's my Skipper. *kissing followed by lovemaking*

The bus of the pessimists got stuck in the mud and they argued long and hard, wether to pull it out of there or just abandon it completely. They abandoned it, because it wasn't going to take them where they wanted to go anyway and their shoes dissolved by their acid-spewing cynicism, they are now forced to walk barefoot under an unrelenting, paranoid sun, cursing the optimists, who are still driving on the road called happiness. :P

Another mail from Shep to Ash:

Subject: RE: Hey there. - The Flux
-------------------------------------------

Hi Ash,

Finally, got some more stuff done. Still don't know how much Cerberus is censoring, so I won't bother you with any details. We just made it, took some technology of an ancient wreck. Maybe that helps us to push the door open aka go through the Omega Four Relay and back.

Ash, to be honest, I don't know if I'm going to make it. It sounds like a stupid idea to go through a mass relay that's known for being a oneway for any known species but the Collectors. So it's going to be another suicide mission. Start to get used to - bad sign. At least Mordin told me. I bet you'll like him. He's a Salarian scientist with a past - but really good to have around. Maybe you'll see him one day.

There's something mire important. I don't know how much time we'll have before we need to go through that relay. I just want to see you again - I want to talk to you before taking that mission. Need to do this - I need to find out who I am. And there's no person in this galaxy I trust more than you, Ash. You know me better than anyone and if there's the slightest evidence I am not the John Shepard who died, then you'll find it.

What do you think of the Flux? Good place for a meeting - we had our first dance there. You told me I'm an awful dancer and showed me some moves ...

Here's the next part of the John Shepard/ Ashley Williams/ Hannah Shepard dialogue I been working on, you can read the first part here:

http://social.biowar...942/432#8698426

19.00hrs J Shepards quarters (Deck 1) John Shepard and his mother Captain Hannah Shepard exit the elevator and are about to enter his quarters.

Captain Shepard: I wonder if you've finally managed to keep you quarters clean. I swear for a kid who grew up on starships you could never see the floor of your room with all the mess and clutter.
J Shepard: I wasn't that bad
Captain Shepard: It took two weeks to decontaminate your room on the Einstein
J Shepard: You're never going to let me forget that are you?
Captain Shepard: No.... Well say what you will about Cerberus the CO quarters are twice the size of mine, maybe I should put in for a transfer.
J Shepard: Mother....
Captain Shepard: Fine, Fine keep your luxury hotel suite

Just then Ashley walks in

Ashley: I'm to early.
Captain Shepard: Nonsense your just in time, Tell me Ashley has Johns quarters always been this clean?
Ashley: For as along as I've known him. Why?
Captain Shepard: Huh....He must be trying to impress someone *she looks at Ashley and smiles*
Ashley: Hey where did that dining table come from?
J Shepard: The bed goes back behind the bulkhead then the table a chairs come up from underneath the floor. All at the push of a button.
Ashley: Cool. I brought some wine, hope that's ok?
Captain Shepard: Of course it is Ashley, would you relax if anyone should be nervous its John
J Shepard: Me nervous.... why would I be nervous....what's there to be nervous about?
Captain Shepard: All the things you think I've told Ashley about you
Ashley: And all the things I've told your mother about you
Shepard: *Shepard coughs, Then quickly changes the subject* We better sit down don't want the food to go cold.
*Captain Shepard & Ashley look at each other and chuckle*

Coming later Coffee, Mints and Baby Pictures

And the only hope they can cling onto is that if they meet oncoming traffic, they won't hit it as fast and hard as the bus of optimism would.

Sooo ... lets hope I can go home early this day. Have an idea for that "date" in the Flux - just Ash and Shepard ...

By the way: it's interesting a lot of guys think Ashley is the most life like character in ME. Does that mean she casts real emotions on people? In my eyes she does, but yeah, I'm one of her fanboys ...

Just had a thought, We've heard that if you weren't loyal to your LI from ME1 in ME2 then there would be serious consequences in ME3. Now In ME2 you can romance all the possible LI in one game by dumping one and going on to the next and so on. I wonder how much worse Ashleys reaction would be when she finds out that you've not been with one other person but half of the crew.

Hmmm, I dunno. Liara doesn't seem too mad at you if you cheated on her in ME2. At least that's my imagination.

However, the VS doesn't trust you when seeing you at Horizon. I doubt s/he will think better of you if you cheat on him or her in ME2 and have to face them in ME3. I simply hope that either you can't go back or need to do a lot of hard work to return to him or her. In case your ME2!LI got killed in SM the "not loyal" flag should not vanish.

I bet Ashley and Miranda won't talk that much. Either they fight over Shepard or they'll turn against him. Either way, it won't be a pleasure for him :)

So: stay loyal to Ash. Ash is worth it.

Ash: what happened.
Teacher: well, today Jennifer got into an altercation with another student over who go to be first in line and when the ohter student wouldn't move she began screaming about her place in some "clan urdnot" and then headbutted the student until he fell over.  Is there anyhitng at home that would have inspired such behavior?

I definitely need to keep political stuff out of the forums. *sigh*

Ever tried to defend what you believe without getting impolite? I tried and it still feels as if I fought half of the world. Now I know how Ashley feels when trying to make career with her blackmailed name before getting in touch with Shepard.

Seriously ... *sigh* ... at least the one I talked to was very well meaning and interested in a civilized debate, so, everything's fine. Ashley didn't had to use her boomstick. And I'm peaceful too. ^^

Need a tea. Or two. Too bad Ashley doesn't like tea at all, she's a coffee-drinker exclusive ^^

I try (try being the operative word here) and follow the old rule to never talk politics or religion in polite company.

Even with family and friends those topics can get pretty heated ... soooo. Steering clear of those for the most part.

We all have our own bias and prejudices when these topics are discussed as well. I think that's why Bioware does not allow these (real life politics/religion) to be discussed in the threads. People begin to act like apes and throw poo at each other.

Guess so. I think I'll edit that posting a bit. It took half an hour to type it down plus another thirty minutes to review it and start it from scratch. It didn't really help however, there could still be offended people. Lets say I'll delete it if demanded.

One of the more "offensive" parts was about "pointless wars in human history". The other point was that Ashley kinda mirrors the ordinary western person since 9/11/2001 - when it comes to the "offensive combination of religion and xenophobia" (I think that's the essence of what the other one said).

Dunno if Ashley is an offending person. I don't feel offended and I'm neither in a church nor xenophobic. Maybe because Ashley does not suffer xenophobia and her religious side is very, very mild? People take stuff too serious. Me too.

Whatever. Lets go back to Ashley before too much OT :P

Here maybe this will help
Just had I great idea of a dialogue scene with Kelly Chambers/ Ashley and Shepard:

Ashley: Shepard, have you seen the latest..... Oh Miss Chambers, what are you doing up here?
Kelly: I'm just feeding the commanders Fish.
Ashley: Where is Shepard?
Kelly: Last I saw him he was training with Garus and Vega in the cargo hold.

*Just then Shepard enters his cabin, all hot and sweating from a strenuous workout*

Shepard: Ashley, Kelly is there something I can do for you?
Kelly: I was just feeding you're fish Shepard, All done I'll see you later.
*Kelly leaves Ashley and Shepard alone*
Ashley: So you're seeing Miss Chambers Later.
Shepard: Huh....down in the CIC probably. What's wrong?
Ashley: Isn't it a bit strange to have your yeomen feeding your fish.
Shepard: She likes fish and I'm always forgetting to feed them. Why does it bother you?
Ashley: No why would it bother me?
Shepard: You're jealous.
Ashley: Jealous of her, I could take out that redhead blindfolded with both hands tied behind my back.
Shepard: You really are jealous, I can tell,  you always threaten to beat up a woman when you think shes interested in me.
Ashley: damn you, why are you always so pig headed.
*Ashley then turns to storm out but Shepard grabs her and pulls her close to him*
Shepard: Come here *kisses Ashley*
Ashley: You.....um....son....um....of...........
Shepard: Your the only one I've ever wanted, I'll tell Kelly to leave the fish alone.
Ashley: Oh no you don't you'll need all of your spare time to look after this "Hellcat".

Quick ME1 Ashley question (you guys don't mind my asking here right? It's not worth a new thread in the ME1 subforum 0:)

Does she benefit from Assassination and Overkill? It's easy to tell when she uses Immunity or Shield boost because of the HUD, but I never see a difference in her shooting when I make her use the moar dakka talents.

I never noticed the difference either. Perhaps it's just because she's a solider class so the powers are there to be unlocked but only you as the player will get the advantage of using them (If your solider class and have unlocked them as well) I guess it's how they balance the game, otherwise you could sit back and let your squad kill all the bad guys.
