She shoots longer with the AR and if she doesn't ahve explosive ammo she shoots up to 3 times with the Sniper rifle when assasination is active.

Did anyone ever realized the second most badass person on board is Ashley? She's not "obviously" badass like Wrex or Garrus or Zaeed - she's more hidden badass. Hidden behind her obviously feminine body and her beautiful face ...

Never used it!!!!! Forget the other heavy weapons the Cain is the ultimate game changer

I think I might have tried it once and it did nothing ... one of the big guns did that. Pfft! Nothing while I had scions & husks coming at me. My poor Shepard was like "WTF? Jacob!!!!!!!"

So now I just stick to the collector particle beam.

It is a FU*KING awesome gun. no matter what difficulty, if you time your shot well enough.
(and with a bit of anticipation and luck) it WILL without fail, chew off nearly if not actually half of the Reaper-larvae's health.

awww, you're so sweet!

The bus of the pessimists got stuck in the mud and they argued long and hard, wether to pull it out of there or just abandon it completely. They abandoned it, because it wasn't going to take them where they wanted to go anyway and their shoes dissolved by their acid-spewing cynicism, they are now forced to walk barefoot under an unrelenting, paranoid sun, cursing the optimists, who are still driving on the road called happiness.

That's why I got my own bus.... I knew it was coming because of my pessimism and wasn't shocked.

I never noticed a difference either. But if you put high explosive rounds in a sniper rifle.... you'll notice when Ash shoots something. lol

See, this is what her spectre armor needs to look like. Maybe not exactly like that.... but that type of bulk and sleekness combined.

The ones from that blurry picture from a while back look more like Miranda's DLC armor... which didn't look very good IMO.

Also, I never liked the Cain.... you only have enough ammo for one shot and you can never find enough heavy ammo to get 2 shots in one mission. Sure, it takes out things easily.... but really, when do you ever fight any enemy that needs to be nuked? Maybe the reaper, but you have to have pretty good timing to get it to hit. (he's farther away from you than you think.... I've had to reload many a time during that fight when trying to use the Cain b/c of missing the reaper). 

IMO the best heavy weapon is the arc projector.... it kills anything and everything. EASILY

Always use it on the reaper larvae but if one round dosen't do the job then make sure you get all the heavy weapon upgrades including dlc missions. That reaper will never know your still packing enough charge for a second shot.

Shepard: I wanted to install it into my Cain. The Mark II has the new Pulse field dampers and Hyper charged relays. It'll give the Cain almost 40% more stopping power.
 
 *Ashley walks over to shepard & and puts her arms around his wasit*
 
 Ashley: I just love it when you start talking about weapon mods. It gets me all excited.
 Shepard: oohh......No no no, I know I left it here, where the hell is it?
 Ashley: Who cares about the Cain, I need your help to install a big weapon.

 Shepard: They look alright, why would you remove these your Cain wouldn't work without them....... Wait a minute.

 Shepard: My Mark II array it's in your bloody Cain.
 Ashley: Your Cain already has 2 shots per charge, mine was jellous.

The funny part about the Cain is: I never used it in ME2. I'm an Infiltrator and the Widow has enough stopping power. Actually, that's my preferred weapon to hunt down human reapers ^^

It's my fav and I prefer it over any heavy weapon. The Widow and that SMG you can find in the Kasumi DLC. Both are quite good dealing with almost everything.

In first playthrough I used the Carnifex too, but that weapon got not enough ammo compared to its stopping power. The vanilla pistol is much better (more dps and more heat capacity).


Ashley: Look. My Carnifex M2 is much better than yours.
Shepard: What did you do to it?
Ashley: Added a heat-dispersal system - which quadruples heat capacity.
Shepard: Want have!
Ashley: Nope. Mine.
Shepard: May I remind you of Betsy? I'm glad I could repair her.

I've tried every heavy weapon in the game. By far the Cain is the best and its the only one I ever use. That said I only ever use it once - when fighting the Larvae Reaper. The rest of the game as a solider I use the Mattock, Widow & Phalanx 5a (never use the shotgun).



Oh look it's another Cain Picture. I just can't help myself. Ok thats enough of the Cain otherwise Ashleys going to get jealous.
