Hey guys, just thought I'd let you know that K-Laine on Deviantart just finished a request I made a while ago and I figured I might as well show it to the rest of the thread here:

Image IPB

It is called 'Zukan450' on deviantart because that is my username. I hope y'all like it.

It's good to see some nice, fresh Ash art!
Great work Deelane, K-Laine, MrOrbital, GainaSpirit, alireya, & Aurora. Image IPB

Makes me want to dust off the Ash Art medal and hand it out to all of the fine artists.

Image IPB

And, AllianceN7Marine, I've been digging the magazine concept so far. Image IPB

So, here's an Ash Media medal, can't wait to see more.

Thanks AresXX7 it's better than all the Xbox achivements for ME1 and ME2 I've won, and I would like to say thank you to all of you who make these fantastic drawings of Ashley and Co. It's helps us get through the endless waiting for ME3.

Now all I need to do is work out how you add these banners at the bottom of my postings.

It's only Ash there at the moment. And its a SUPER early work in progress. Only about 33% done. She's meant to be upset and confused. Gotta wait for the background before you learn any more :P

You're most welcome Aurora & Alliance. Image IPB

Alliance, if you're asking about putting something in the signature section, just mouse over your profile (located to the left under your avatar), then move down to where it says Forum Settings, click on it, then you'll go to a new page. On the new page, you'll see a window (just like when you make a post) enter the url info (the same way you'd post an image) then click the save button below the window.

This. I support.

Shepard: Ashley, do you have any idea who took my M-920?
Ashley: Your Cain? Uhh ... no.
Shepard: Hmm. Wait - what are you hiding behind your back?
Ashley: Nothing, Skipper-
Shepard: Show me both hands. Now!
Ashley: *shows left hand*
Shepard: Now the other one.
Ashley: *left hand returns to her back, and few moments later right hand is shown*
Shepard: ASH! Both hands, same time.
Ashley: Skipper ... it's not like it looks *shows Cain in both hands*
Shepard: C'mon Ash, gimme back.
Ashley: Make me.
Shepard: Seriously ... I need it for next mission.
Ashley: So do I.
Shepard: Give me that Cain!
Ashley: I said: make me!
Shepard: It's mine!
Ashley: Not anymore.
Shepard: Mine!
Ashley: Come and get it!
Shepard: Aaaaash ... I want it back!
Ashley: Give me a good reason why?
Shepard: Hmm ... no sex till next week?
Ashley: Deal. It's my bad week anyway.
Shepard: Sh*t ...
Ashley: See you on the mission, Skip. I'll have your Cain. My Cain. *leaves armory laughing*

Actually, I've always been an Ash fan...her renegade-ish attitude fits more in line with my shepard's than kaidan's ever could... I just have an issue with the whole Horizon fiasco( though I'm just gonna chomp that up to bad writing which i hope is retified in someway in ME 3).

Hehe yeah, if you consider her pragmatism as "renegade", then you're right. I consider her leaning towards paragon, but she doesn't hesitate to decide for a renegade option if it seems the better solution.

Kaidan has a tendency to full paragon (like my Shepards - I don't pick the renegade path since some decisions are plain stupid, and ME / ME2 doesn't favor pragmatists at all), Ashley is not paragon but also not renegade. I even have playthroughs where Ashley suggests to save the Council ... O.o

*tends to always play renegons( his definition of that is...renegade for the most part but Paragon at the big decisons in the games since yes, ME 2's imports don't seem to favor you renegading it all the way such as letting the counsil die).*

I do too... usually happens when I have Garrus/Wrex finishing the game with me and Ash...LOL.

You can do this, AD.

For now, not much happens. I'll go to bed now. Maybe I'll do some stuff tomorrow or at sunday ... won't have any time saturday. Whatever.

Last Ashley-Dialogue for today (it is FREE of spoilers)

*zip*
Mordin:
Also impossible without a greybox in your own brain. Could construct an external greybox but will take time.
Ashley: How long?
Mordin: Two weeks.
Ashley: We don't have two weeks. I'll give you four days.
Mordin: Do it in two.
Ashley: Thanks you, Mordin. I owe you one.
Mordin: Subject still in danger. Attempt could kill Shepard. Need to be carefully.
Ashley: Sure, Mordin, do whatever you have to. Just bring Skipper back ... please ...

Uhhh ... yes. :pinched:

Sorry, I've been wanting to write a response dialogue for this since I read it.

Ashley: *Uneasy, sitting by Shepard's bed. He's hooked up to life-support and a machine to help monitor his neuro-activity. She sighs, holding his hand in both of hers.*
Chakwas: Ashley? *comes into the room.* May I speak to you for a moment?
Ashley: Yes, Doctor?
Chakwas: About Shepard. He's -
Ashley: He'll pull through. John's always pulled through.
Chakwas: With every hour, his brain patterns are getting more eratic and unstable. There's no telling just how much longer he'll last. The greybox has to be removed, even if it causes brain dea-
Ashley: No! If removing it kills  him then we might as well put a bullet in his head now and be done with it! John would rather die first than live as an empty husk! Mordin said he'll be ready with a solution in a day! We can keep him alive until then, can't we?
Chakwas: Ashley, I understand and respect you're position but this came from Admirals Kaine.
Ashley: So his own father wants to let him die rather than look for a way to treat him?
Chakwas: I'm sorry Ashley, but legally his next of kin has the authority to make that decision on his behalf.
Ashley: You're kidding! The only people that John counts as close family are me and Roxanna! Kaine doesn't want anything to do with him, but he can make choices like that? How in hell is that fair?
Chakwas: I'm sorry Ashley. But I believe his father simply doesn't want him to suffer.
Ashley: *scoff* My ass. Knowing Kaine's reputation, he probably just doesn't want the content of the greybox known.
Chakwas: I'm sorry there's nothing I can do. I just recieved the message from him through a burst only a few moments ago.
Ashley: What message, Doctor?
Chakwas: ... *nods understandingly* What message, indeed.
Mordin: *Enters sickbay, with a device in tow.* External greybox completed. Intial testing shows promise. But still highly risky.
Ashley: What kind of risks?
Mordin: Impossible to say. Could result in worse injury. Could lose yourself in greybox data archives. Many risks.
Chakwas: Wait a moment, please Professor. How will this device work?
Mordin: Establishes link between Shepard's internal greybox and external greybox, allows user's consciousness to explore his memories. Won't know what Commander Williams will find until device is activated.
Ashley: Fine. Hook me up. *Releases Shepard's hand and moves to other medical bed.*
Chakwas: This is far too risky, Commander. I object to this.
Ashley: Objection noted. But, John saved my life time and again. I won't get lost. I'll come back and drag him with me, whether he wants to or not.
Mordin: Must act fast. Window of opportunity shrinking. Doubtful that Shepard's brain can last much longer. Must act quickly to save him.
Ashley:
Lets get this over with.
Chakwas: I'll be monitoring your vitals closely. Anything changes, and I'm going to revive you right then and there. *prepares a sedative while Mordin prepares external greybox.*
Mordin: Again, final warning. There is a possibility that Shepard may die during procedure. If that happens,*sharp inhale* you will die too.
Ashley:
 Then, we won't.

That's not what I meant. Especially big decisions seems to be the only decisions in game which doesn't make Shepard looking like a jerk. Let Council live or die? If Shepard decides to save the Council a lot of needed ships get destroyed. If Shepard decides against the Council the 5th has a far easier job to stop Souvereign. It's a tactical decision, none of morality.
Let the Rachni queen live? Another decision where you can say: "no decision is wrong". The queen even accepts your decision because she knows her race got extincted for a reason (because of indoctrination). So there's no "right" or "wrong". At that point in the game "killing the queen" simply means to end a potential threat to the galaxy - after all, how does Shepard know the queen isn't lying? Freeing her shows mercy, but it could backfire one day.
That's what I mean ... those big decisions -are- real decisions and morality can jeopardize them in a way.

On the other hand most of the minor renegade decisions make Shepard looking bad. Throwing a mercenary out of a window? Backstabbing an engineer? Sacrificing workers for Zaeed's revenge? Punching the reporter?

The reason why I am not playing renegade is because Shepard looks like a jerk that's not better than the mercenaries s/he usually shots at. Renegon or Paragade sound like "pragmatism" to me and I'd love to pick that route, but I can't. And why? Because it backfires - in ME you need 75% paragon / renegade points to max out the Charm / Intimitate bars. That gives you room, yes, but it still pushes you in one direction - either paragon or renegade.

In ME2 things are even worse. I think I once read you need 80 - 90% of currently available morality points to convince Miranda / Jack and Tali / Legion to stop their fights. If you're a pragmatist you can't solve those situations without losing the loyalty of one.

That's what I dislike ... those requirements to solve some situations. Pragmatists don't exist, you need to be either "entirely good" or "entirely evil" in ME.

Okay ... so much for that. Have an Ashley :)

Image IPB
By the way: the background shows perfectly Ashley's personality - red (renegade) and blue (paragon).

I actually agree with you and confirm it's more like 50% paragon/renegade to diffuse the jack/Miranda situation( if you wanna diffuse it... I always do) and it's somewhere between 75 - 90% for Tali/Legion which is more important one since I believe that one may also help deal with the whole Quarian/Geth thing in ME 3.

The paragon/renegade achievements in ME 1 are a real pain in the ass...unless your on the pc( like me) then you can just claim the achievement right away with the command console...some of the others you mentioned... I do those anyway just because of the how hilarious( the reporter) or badass( pushing the merc out the window) some of them are...though you can also paragon/renegade talk the reporter like that douche she is in both games( and wind up gaining more pts that way than smacking her in some cases).
