I never once had the option to persuade her to Paragon's way of thinking unfortunately, but yes. I agree. Ash is a realistist with an agressive edge. MY Shepard would be much similar if it weren't 'required' to be either near-full paragon or renagade to keep characters in the game.

what's garrus got? what's tali got?

They're saving the galaxy, the most important thing we can do right now. Everyone has a role to play in it; apparently they feel it can be best fulfilled by being at Shepard's side.

also by working with a terrorist organization which is cerberus's image to the rest ofthe galaxy.Image IPB

Regrettably necessary for the time being.

Not really. if you do arrival before the SM Hackett informs you that the Alliance has come across a few collector ships and fought them off.  My guess is tht the VS is helping the ffort since they have first had experience with the Collectors from horizon.Image IPB

I brought this one earlier and I wonder am I the only one who thinks the background perfectly reflects Ashley's personality - which is "pragmatic" - means neither idealistic (paragon) nor renegade.

Honestly, I don't believe Ashley is truly pragmatic. She really seems more deontological than Paragon Shepard, just highly pessimistic.

Nothing about completing Arrival before the suicide mission makes any damn sense, and in the end, it matters little. Shepard still had to take out the Collector base, which the other two were necessary for.

Full win. Badpie has a taste for cute stuff

Ashley: Skip ... the baby kicked me!
Shepard: Really? Let me feel that ... *smiles*
Ashley: Sure ... wait, need to get rid of my armor ...
Garrus: Can't it wait a bit? We're in the middle of a fight!
Tali: Seriously ... who gave you that idea to get her with us?
Ashley: Just because I'm in my eighth month it doesn't mean I can't fight! Now get me my boomstick - I dropped it and can't bow!
Shepard: Already done - and anything else?
Ashley: Get me mixed pickles and chocolate!
Shepard: Of course ...
Garrus: *sigh* ...
Tali: *facepalms*

Oooh, that's one of my old screenshots! But yes, I completely agree with what you've said.

Hah! Whipped Shepard is whipped!

I would have a counter dialogue, but my brain is non-functional atm.

Here, have a cookie. Should get your brain in functional condition, Aurora ...

Ashley: Skip ... wake up.
Shepard: *Zzzz* ... uhhh ... whut?
Ashley: My feet hurt, can you give 'em a fine massage?
Shepard: What, now? It's 3 o'clock in the morning.
Ashley: Sorry, John, but I can't sleep. My feet hurt.
Shepard: Okay, Ash ... *massages feet* ... anything else?
Ashley: Hmm, could you bring me a bread with chocolate? Oh and rub my belly ... and you know what to do with these. They need attention too ... they hurt because of all that growing ...
Shepard: ...
Ashley: ... and while you're doing that, sing me a lullaby ...
Shepard: Sleep well, sleep well *sings awfully*
Ashley: Better idea: hum. You can hum, hmm?
Shepard: Hmmm ... hummmm ... hummm ...
Ashley: Thank you, John ... I love you ... love you ... *snore*
Shepard: *stops massaging*
Ashley: Didn't say you can stop.
Shepard: *massages*

Ha. Can you imagine Ashley and Shepard's kid? I think the thing would have bullhorns growing from its head. The bullheadedness of that child would be unbelievable!

It would take the two toughest marines in the galaxy to raise that baby... it would be even 10x worst if it turned out be another girl. (lol) I think they would have to let Wrex be the godfather.

*before the Final battle.*

Ashley: John? Can I speak with you for a sec?
Shepard: Sure, Ash. *takes her aside* What's the matter?
Ashley: I'm pregnant. Found out only an hour ago.
Shepard: 'Pregnant'? As in -
Ashley: Yes, as in I'm carrying a baby.
Shepard: Um. Wow. *exhales* Gez... lost for words.
Ashley: Yeah. Know how that feels.
Shepard: What do you want to do?
Ashley: I-i don't know. I mean, I want to keep it but we're about to go on a suicidial last charge against the Reapers. I could die, o-or I might get hit and lose the baby.
Shepard: There's always the chance of dying on Assignment Ash. And I don't know about these rest of the people here but I sure as hell plan to live to talk about this.
Ashley: *looks up at him, then glances away chuckling softly too herself before meeting his eyes again with a smile* See, thats why I love you. Your confidience boarders on stupidity.
Shepard: Fortunately, I have every right to be confident. I've lived twice and both times, I managed to get the same girl to fall head over heels in love with me. Can't say many others can feel the same.
Ashley: *chuckles, shaking her head. * Jonathan-Mal, you lovable idiot.
Shepard: And after this last fight, I'll have something to look foward to. Never once envisioned myself as a dad, but I took care of Rox alright. And I can't be much worse than my step-dad.
Ashley: *laughing lightly now* I think you'd make a great dad, Skipper.
Shepard: *laughs* Glad one of us thinks so.
Ashley: See you on the other side, John?
Shepard: I'll meet you both there. *kisses her*

That has an advantage... it doesn't allow him to finish fixing the gunship. So it starts with less health when you start the fight with it.

That in order to reach their full potential Tali and garrus, like theohter ME1 squadmates need their own lives outside of shepard.Image IPB

Well, I'll do what I can to ensure that they both have something else. And to ensure that Ashley doesn't do anything fatally stupid in ME3.

Tiny spoiler.

I hope Ash doesn't do the 'Fatally stupid' thing she did in the leaked. I've heard rumors that it's been denounced, which I'm glad for, but seriously? Whose word is more trustworthy? Shepard, or some **** she just met?

I can understand the frustration to an extent, but blaming fanbases isn't the way to go.

After all, would we be complaining that BioWare 'pandered' to us if we get what we wish for with Ashley? Of course not. I'm happy that a potential fan base may be happy with what they get.

No different from Tali and Garrus fans. And some Ashley and Kaidan fans are fans of Garrus and Tali too.

If certain characters have better development while others are OOC, then that's the fault of the developer, is it not?

In case of Ash I can understand if she trusts an official more than Shepard - as long as she doesn't know the full story why Shepard was working for Cerberus.

Whatever is going to happen in ME3, I simply hope I can keep Ash alive and with me for most of the game. I missed her dearly in ME2, every mission was like getting up the wrong side of the bed or marching into battle with just one boot. She was part of almost any of my squads in ME and so she'll be in ME3.

Yeah, but if it's not Ashley... I don't care if she's around or not. Hell, I'd probably let Team Dextro kill her.

I missed her too... Shepard wanted his confidant on that mission. And Chambers just does not fit the bill... in fact, John-Mal is creeped out by her. That line 'I know if i close my eyes, I know you'll catch me' kinda creepified John-Mal a bit....

Challenge: Kelly Vs Ash.

Wonder how that will go down...

I think I heard / read enough "indirect" spoilers to know Ash will be Ash. At least the guys telling me she'll be good old Ash like we know her from ME. No details - I don't wanna know more than I already know since Ash is the one I want to explore in ME3. More than new worlds

Means to me: poetry-loving-pragmatic-tough-and-extremely-loveable Ashley that keeps Shepard grounded and puts some sense in his head if he becomes too idealistic.

It depends on what the challenge is.

Uh - Ash vs Kelly over Shepard's attention. Granted its down to the individual Shepard and player, but it would probably be a funny thing to see. I don't usually go for cat-fights (two blokes beating the crap out of each other is more my thing) but I wouldn't mind seeing them duke it out.
