Not really. if you do arrival before the SM Hackett informs you that the Alliance has come across a few collector ships and fought them off. My guess is tht the VS is helping the ffort since they have first had experience with the Collectors from horizon.Xilizhra wrote...

They're saving the galaxy, the most important thing we can do right now. Everyone has a role to play in it; apparently they feel it can be best fulfilled by being at Shepard's side.what's garrus got? what's tali got?
Honestly, I don't believe Ashley is truly pragmatic. She really seems more deontological than Paragon Shepard, just highly pessimistic.I brought this one earlier and I wonder am I the only one who thinks the background perfectly reflects Ashley's personality - which is "pragmatic" - means neither idealistic (paragon) nor renegade.
Nothing about completing Arrival before the suicide mission makes any damn sense, and in the end, it matters little. Shepard still had to take out the Collector base, which the other two were necessary for.Not really. if you do arrival before the SM Hackett informs you that the Alliance has come across a few collector ships and fought them off. I never once had the option to persuade her to Paragon's way of thinking unfortunately, but yes. I agree. Ash is a realistist with an agressive edge. MY Shepard would be much similar if it weren't 'required' to be either near-full paragon or renagade to keep characters in the game.

which is why they can be left where they can be recruited from for the entire game.Xilizhra wrote...

That in order to reach their full potential Tali and garrus, like theohter ME1 squadmates need their own lives outside of shepard.Xilizhra wrote...

As you like, I suppose. I'm certainly not going to denigrate them for helping me.ADLegend21 wrote...

I have no problems with them helping, I just have problems with them having nothing without me.Xilizhra wrote...

Tiny spoiler.
I hope Ash doesn't do the 'Fatally stupid' thing she did in the leaked. I've heard rumors that it's been denounced, which I'm glad for, but seriously? Whose word is more trustworthy? Shepard, or some **** she just met?

In case of Ash I can understand if she trusts an official more than Shepard - as long as she doesn't know the full story why Shepard was working for Cerberus.
Whatever is going to happen in ME3, I simply hope I can keep Ash alive and with me for most of the game. I missed her dearly in ME2, every mission was like getting up the wrong side of the bed or marching into battle with just one boot. She was part of almost any of my squads in ME and so she'll be in ME3.

Yeah, but if it's not Ashley... I don't care if she's around or not. Hell, I'd probably let Team Dextro kill her.
It depends on what the challenge is.Challenge: Kelly Vs Ash.
Wonder how that will go down...
I really think Ashley is more deontological than Shepard.Means to me: poetry-loving-pragmatic-tough-and-extremely-loveable Ashley that keeps Shepard grounded and puts some sense in his head if he becomes too idealistic.
