Okay, no de-railing guys
If I have to fight a bear, I'd take my boomstick since I don't own a dog. I'm not a dog person, I have a cat.
Back to Ashley - some of her fans think she's a dog person, I believe she has more a thing for a cat, but that's just an opinion. Maybe she loves both, but can't keep any pets because of her duty as Alliance soldier.
Other opinions?

Okay. I'm a honest guy - if I'll ever met a woman like her, I don't know if I can keep my fiancee. I rather give up an existing relationship than cheating ... not to mention sex IS serious to me and can't come without romantic feelings. Even worse: my fiancee is already really nice and all ... but she's not much like Ash.
ARGH. Now I feel bad.
Oh and, I don't stand a chance against Wanderloo ...

Fixed to include feelings.
Oh, and she can't read english that well. Actually, she really hates when I start mixing up languages. I mean, have to talk english @ work, in the forums etc but german @ home.
And yes, Ashley seems to like both, cats and dogs. Just wonder if she'll get a German Shepherd one day ...
Shepard: Hi Ash. I bought you a German Shepherd.
Ashley: Ohh thanks, Skip - now I can have Shepherd watching me while I have Shepard.
Shepard: Veeeeeeeery funny ...

Wow, wow, wow. You just said that?
If there was a real Ashley Williams - as much as I love her character in the game, I would probably stay well away from her in real life. Just to be on the safe side. I would hate to say something offensive then get my ass kicked by some tough marine chick. (Okay, I'll admit she's just too cool for me.)
It's funny. I always pictured Ash as a dog person. You think my dog would be too sissy for her? www.youtube.com/watch I'd say she would need a good old rotty or german shepard. But I would never leave any of my dogs to fight a bear. Though, I don't think any dog would be stupid enough to fight one in the first place.

Aaaaat least I can. I don't define myself over my love or so ... it kinda bothers my fiancee I'm a pure maverick. An honest, loyal maverick, but still, a dude who needs a lot of lonetime & freedom. Guess that fits to Ashley who's quite similar. She's not the clingy type (but she has a great sense for family). However, the guys a woman like Ashley usually attract are far, far more handsome then myself *checks light belly and lack of hair again* O.o

I think I'd actually clash quite a bit with her in real-life, in character and in my views. I wouldn't be surprised if she'd be more then I could handle. So she's not the kind of girl I go out with, and she'd probably think the same in that regard.MegaBadExample wrote...

Ash loves a sissy dog in my opinion, maybe she wouldn't like to admit it, but she'd find them cute alright.

I've been looking in to the whole Alliance Military Vocational Codes for Ashley and I've just had a thought. On the new pictures we've seen (CE Edition Video) Ashley has S1 on her uniform like Shepards N7. Now I found another forum http://z15.invisionf...p?showtopic=928 which has all of the definitions of what each code means (which branch they belong to). Now we know Ashley's original code was:
B4 = Band (also including Colour Guard, Honor Guard, etc.) Experience level 4
But if S1 is her new code (promoted to a different branch of the navy) then it would mean:
S1 = Orbital Deployment, Reconnaissance, Infiltration, and Assault Forces, Experience level 1
which would be more fitting of the type of Solider Ashley is. What do you think?

Actually, I think Ash would be like you in some ways. Sex has gotta come with some sort of affection and appreciation. Well, she needs her space too, obviously. But she also needs that kind of guy to take control every once in a while and hold her down. If you get what I mean. Someone that has the guts to say: "Don't do that. You're wrong. Look at it this way." If Ash had her way through ME1 she would be dead. She needs someone to keep her level headed. I think her father filled that role for her before…

I do exactly know what you mean. My girl doesn't like it when I say "don't do that" - she usually thinks I'm angry at her or pull the "I'm older than you card" - but that's not the case. I simply don't wanna see her making one mistake after another she could prevent with a little more experience. Seems as if every person needs to do the same mistakes to learn from them: what kid did NOT touch the oven even dad says: "don't, or you can burn your fingers!" ... Don't get me wrong, I'm not a big fan of "don't dos".
Whatever, I might fit to Ashley characterwise but not when it comes to excercise and appearance. She deserves some handsome, kind dude who knows how to do a job. That's so definitely not me
The interesting fact about Ashley & Shepard is - they need each other to stay grounded. At least if you pick a pure paragon Shepard. Ashley is a tad younger and less experienced and incredible impulsive - just because she had that thing in her head to cleanse her family's name. At least that's no longer an issue after ME - she helped to take down Saren, is one of the heroes of the Citadel ... you name it. Her name is no longer tainted.

Shepard: Apparently she's alive.
Ashley: Mm.. yes.
Shepard: Yes.
Ashley: Indeed.
Shepard: ....
Ashley: ... Got an escape plan?
Shepard: I drop a flash bang and we both run?
Ashley: *from a distance away* Already running!
Shepard: *Shepard looks at Ash, then me, then bolts*
Me: *cracks knuckles* Ah, today'll be fun.

Ashley: *creeping up behind Shepard.*
Shepard: Ash-ley!
Ashley: Crap *deactivates tactical cloak.* How the hell did you know?
Shepard: Uh, one - my armour's tactical cloak is gone, and two - I can smell you a mile away.
Ashley: Are you saying I sme-
Shepard: Cherry blossums and gun polish. Not very many people have that scent, or pull it off either - put my wallet back, Kasumi.
Kasumi: Damn, Shep. You are good. *Kasumi decloaks, Shepard holds out his hand and she puts it back.*
Shepard: And the credit chit you took. *To Ash* And you, Mrs Williams, give me back my tactical cloak.
Ashley: God, John. You are so boring. *gives its back.*
Shepard: I'm fun, just not when you steal my crap. I don't touch your workbench in the armoury.
Ashley: Are your roommate, If your crap is in my way, I'll move it.
Shepard: Yea, move it. Don't take it!
Kasumi: I think I'll leave the old married couple alone for now. Cute as these arguments are, I don't want to be the subject.
Shepard: Fine, then give Ash back her wallet too.
Ashley: Wha -
Kasumi: *points to Shepard's wallet* I already did. *wonders off chuckling*
Shepard: Wha -
Ashley: *Yoink* I'm gonna go shopping, Cya Skip'. *Races to the elevator.*
Shepard: Oh, no you don't! *Bolts after her*
